We were couples visiting a reserve for the first time. The Lodge accommodation is of an excellent quality. The suites are very spacious with large private terrace with sun loungers. Dinner and breakfast is served with all guests sitting at a large table. The food was well presented with a choice of two mains. The red wine at dinner was superb. Our guide/driver was friendly and knowledgeable. A note for older guests or those with less mobility. The safari vehicle has no doors, you have to climb aboard.The Lodge itself has some steep slopes and steps. If you are arriving in your hire car make sure you get a Toyota Cross type car that has more ground clearance or spend a lot more on a 4x4. The dirt track is very rough/rocky and there are two Ford's to negotiate and after heavy and persistent rain could be impassable! Overall we enjoyed our two night stay and will remember our encounter with the Lion at close quarters!
