Beautiful campsites, wonderful activities for families all situated along the Breede River. Must give special mention about the excellent service provided by very friendly and efficient manager Elton. We’re definitely planning on returning in Summer.

While I have a strong desire to recommend Kam’Bati as a family destination after staying here for 3 consecutive years with my family, I have some significant reservations. The pool’s cleanliness is inconsistent, though the river provides an alternative for swimming. The size & lack of cleaning the pools can be a deterrent. Another minor concern is that even though there are rules regarding noise etc. my husband & I still found the campsite next to us shouting, playing music at all hours of the morning. A major concern for me is the mandatory seven-night minimum stay, which is impractical for those unable to take extended time off during December & January. This policy appears driven by financial motives and is not accommodating to many potential visitors. Moreover, a seven-night stay can feel excessive, as activities at Kam’Bati are limited compared to other camping sites that offer a wider range of engaging options such as hiking, quad biking, trampolines, canoeing, & water slides for both adults and children (not a kids water slide that has you holding your breath out of fear someone is going to knock their head on the edge). Prolonged stays also risk damaging the grass plots, as they need shorter stays to recover and stay healthy. Which doesn’t seem to be that environmentally conscious - again, giving money grab. Despite the availability of accommodations, these restrictions make it difficult to recommend Kam’Bati wholeheartedly. Allowing shorter stays of 1 - 4 nights would not only preserve the grass but also make the site more accessible and enjoyable for a broader audience. Additionally, double check their instructions on how to get to the location as Google maps might not be accurate. I don’t expect a response from the owners / management as my communication with them wasn’t always positive from the start. I just chalked it down to a language barrier.

This is truly an amazing campsite, and my family and I have enjoyed staying here for two nights every year. However, this year I wanted to book a three-night stay, and I was disappointed to find that they are no longer accommodating shorter stays for people who work. They now require a minimum booking of seven nights, which we simply can't do. It’s hard to understand why they would turn away customers who want to stay less than a week. Because of this, I can’t recommend Kam’Bati to others, as they don’t seem to accommodate everyone’s needs.

Adventure weekend presented at Kambati. Facilities were fully booked. Thanks to Elton we were sorted out in no time. He came by to ensure campers are sorted. Although there were issues with warm water and water pressure I can recommend Kambati. Good facilities for kids. Not to mention the friendly service at the Kiosk at the swimming pools. You made it worth. Thanks to Elton and the pizza man. We enjoyed our weekend.
