    A bumpy ride 1st visit, eventually ended on a high and for that I'm grateful. Service was prompt and friendly, it was just the telephonic updates and the slightly longer wait for my glasses, that caused some friction. I am happy now and glad I made the switch to Spec Savers, both for them being conveniently close and the affordable/accommodative rates. I can recommend them for sure.

    Even though I'm due for a test, had my spectacles done here about 2 years ago, came in for an adjustment. The ladies at this branch were so friendly even though i gave them a hard time adjusting my frame. I will definitely make my way back to this store. Keep up the great work!

    Went there to collect contact lenses on behalf of someone else. One of the two assistants was on the phone, and as soon as she put it down, she started complaining about the customer to her colleague. The two of them went on to discuss the whole thing in front of me, saying the customer was lying etc. When the optometrist came out and they told him, he got very angry and went on a rant telling them he's not about to wait around for someone. So in summary, not a very friendly, professional or accomodating place. The shopfitting is dated and dreary too, so think twice.

    Extremely terrible customer service , purchased a pair of glasses last year , have been waiting for almost a month for a manger to get back to us regarding a change of a frame that has a factory default. Don't waste your time supporting this store. They keep passing the buck from the day shift to night shift staff . No-one will take the time to offer service outside their job desciption

    Extremely helpful staff 😃getting my first set of specs in my mid-thirties didn't make me the easiest customer to deal with, but they treated me with kindness and patience. A special shout-out to Ms. Simoné Walters and Ms. Lee-Ain Koopman- You ladies absolutely rock that professionalism and customer service I find essential in all industries, but even more so in the one you find yourselves in. Keep up the great work!🌟

    I've been a client of Specsavers Cape Gate for a few years, and I've never been disappointed. The service you receive truly does not give you a choice but to trust this branch to take care of your eyes. Lee-Ain has particularly gone out of her way. My desired frame was not in store, she immediately ordered it and called to say the frame has arrived. I couldn't be happier with their service. A deserving 5 stars!

    Helpful optician who tested my eyes but there it stopped. Instead of the promised 10 days to collect specs, it took 21 days. No communications despite a fancy online tracking facility. Two phone calls were just met with a unfriendly “not ready”. A third phone call and I was told “it might come in today”. My request to phone me if it did or did not come in, was ignored. When collecting it, no apology, no asking if the frame feels ok or if I can see properly - just “tap your card”. My last visit to them.

    I just want to thank the two ladies personly as well as publicly for there great service and efforts to help me to get my sons broken glasses fixed. I do think these ladies need to get some award from the company for there 1000% of customer service and effort. Date served 16 November 2023 at 19H30 well done ladies we need more great services out there like yours.

    i went to Spec-Savers Cape Gate about 2 months ago. The service is great , the staff and optometrist was friendly and amazeballs. I had a great experience. They are truly WORTHY of 5 stars !!😘

    Went to Spec-Savers now here in Cape Gate Mall and they were so helpful and amazing. The gentleman helped me remove a hear from my eye I was not able to see. He was very friendly. Thanks for the great service.

    Great customer service received at Spec-Savers Cape Gate as always!! Thank you to the entire Team for all your assistance. So glad I went for the UV420 blue-blocker lenses. It has made such a huge difference!

    I went for my eye test beginning Dec 2021. Got my glasses just before Christmas. Went back in the new year because my glasses were not right and it's not my first pair off multi's. I was told that the split between reading half and far vision is correct. Ok I thought I will wear them a bit long and see if it comes right........ No it didn't. Went back for a second time and was told the same thing. I don't know how they can see what I see and tell me that is what it's suppose to be. It took me going to someone else, they did the measurements again and SpecSaver was out with their's. SpecSaver at Cape Gate made me feel embarrassed and like I don't know what I was talking about. So I have to pay AGAIN for a new pair of glasses. I will never go back to them. It's not like glasses are cheap.

    Most unimpressed with the service I am receiving from Specsavers in Cape Gate! I was told expected date to collect glasses was on Tuesday. I have to call every day to confirm if it is ready for collection and nobody knows what is going on. I am promised a call back every single day but nobody calls me back! CAN SOMEBODY THAT KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON CALL ME PLEASE!
