Excellent food, absolutely delicious and made fresh. The setting is stunning and service good. Highly recommend We had 2 kiddos with us and it was great for them too. The owner was wonderfully warm and we will definitely visit again when in Swellendam

From the moment I called to make a reservation, Christelle was friendly, informative and accommodating for my Vegan diet. Shortly after I arrived I was presented with a delicious complimentary beetroot and butternut soup to get the taste buds juicing. Christelle offered a couple of options and suggested I try a new dish they had made, a"Turmeric Pasta", and let me tell you this pasta was absolutely out of this world. I ended off my heavenly dinner with a poached pear dessert, specially added as the dessert of the day. Thank you Chef Josia and Christelle for creating such an incredible dining experience, I've traveled far and wide and this was truly one of the best!

Really lovely place! We came for lunch in our way back home and really enjoyed the relaxing and delicious break. Can really recommend coming here. Steak was the best I’ve had so far (must be linked to the French background ;))

The restaurant is owned by a French couple and the moment you get to the entrance, you know you can expect something extraordinary. The food and atmosphere is authentic French. We ordered off the specials menu and the Coq au Vin was beautifully prepared and the flavours were excellent. Complimentary vegetable croquettes were served and the Pannacotta dessert was delicate and delicious.

Very nice food for a good price, lovely service! We told the waiter our toddler had to go to bed soon and the food came pretty fast and still very tasty! They didn’t have a baby/toddler chair but they allowed to being our own. Highly recommended!

What a great experience we had with this little gem in Swellendam. The host/owner treat us from start to end. Food was well presented and our tastebuds were treated with great flavours.

Absolutely spectacular service from the moment you walk through the door. There are plenty of restaurants that do great food, but what makes a great restaurant is the personal touches, the interaction and feeling very much at home. I can’t fault the food in any way, the freshness of the ingredients to the combination of flavours were to die for! Will definitely be back next time we’re passing through Swellendam. Thank you Christelle for making our experience complete.

Oh wow, not to be missed! Every step of this experience was outstanding from the reservation to the warm French welcome to the ambiance to the service, our waitress was superb, and of course the food, just wow. My fiancee and I could not decide, so we shared oxtail and pork belly, both were fantastic and that's after one of the best French onion soups I have ever had. Christelles must be on your eat out list.

Do not miss this jewel of a restaurant on the edge of the town in Voortrekker Street if you enjoy good food, which is beautifully presented. The food tastes as good as it looks and is unbelievably good value for money. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. The service is also outstanding. Bravo 👏
