What a perfect evening at Koornlands. We had a wonderful dinner with Kudu Carpaccio and the Springbok loin. Also with a wine. Ver tasty and helpful service when ordering. My recommendation for this lovely restaurant.

Had a lovely 4-course meal here a few months ago. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic. The portion sizes are nice, although some things you'd like more of on a plate (like the bitterballen) because it's really good! The prices are reasonable. They have specials often, so be ok the lookout online or via their whatsapp number. Will visit again without a doubt.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing dinner at Koornlands. The chef and owner is a very sweet and friendly Dutch woman, since we were the only two clients that night she came to our table to have a little chat. As a starter we had a crocodile carpaccio which was really good. As our main course my girlfriend had a tagliatelle springbok ragout (very tasty) and I had a tasting plate of 3 different meats (see picture). It was ostrich, springbok and warthog and all three of them were amazing and really tasty! If you want to taste African food we cannot recommend this place enough!

Excellent local / authentic cuisine & very friendly staff.

Romantic, relaxed vibe with a sense of adventure... African inspired menu prepared by Chef Marianne, adding her own delicious twists to each dish, garnished with culinary beauty. She comes to greet each customer before they leave, adding to the personal touch of the experience. Pricey, but definitely worth the try.

Dog friendly!! Small menu, so the choices were limited, we chose steak, T-bone and a sirloin. The portions were nice and large and the flavour and sides were perfect. Very nice meal.

We’ve been fortunate enough to have Koornlands on our doorstep for nearly 20 years. It is a culinary institution and we were thrilled when they reopened again recently for their excellent steaks. We had the loveliest Sunday night dinner. Excellent service, delicious food, lots of laughter and great conversation. All in front of a toasty fire. Thank you Steve & Marianne for a wonderful night out. You know it’s been a good evening when the kids loved their meals too. Thank you.

This place is fantastic. Really nice personnel and the food is pretty nice. Everything is made with love and at the end of the night the cook came out and asked is everything was just right. They have a smaller menu but you will defenetly find something to eat. It is recommended to do a reservation because on both nights we were there it was reservation only. It wasn't a problem to reserve a table for the next day. This place is outrageous. We sat outside but the interior of the restaurant is also very nice with a look on every detail.

Excellent restaurant in an interesting old property in the heart of Swellendam. A slightly limited choice on the menu but our dishes were excellent and the portions were great. Highly recommended.

Maybe not as good as the reviews would make you think but especially the chef was very helpful and they also tried to accommodate to our food requests. Starters were a bit lame but the beef for the main was again quite good!

The food including the whole place is amazing. Can‘t give anything else than five stars.
