Exceptional set menu and atmosphere. Brilliant service. Great company when travelling solo, as Mezzie will keep you company... Oh, and don't feed her, she's not interested in your plate or the content on the table - she'd rather have a scratch between the ears 😁🐱 Pictures: Creamy, silky smooth cauliflower puree with Black Angus fillet melting in your mouth... Mezzie the friendly cat; chocolate mousse tartlet served with Ethiopian espresso and smooth brandy. Must say, the brandy pairs beautifully with the chocolate, keep the espresso for after - but definitely do have it! Superb ✨✨✨✨✨

I would give 10 stars if I could. Absolutely delicious food, warm and friendly service who go above and beyond and a cozy ambience. Not to mention this restaurant is SO well priced for what you get. Our waitress, Megan, arranged for our 4 year old to get a meal from the deli next door since he couldn't eat the fine dining. She was so lovely. The steak I had was excellent and the rack of lamb my husband had was as well. This place is unmissable.

This is a quaint restaurant with limited seating. A very romantic setting and set menu at ridiculously low prices. Absolutely loved it

Comfortable warm room, full to capacity but still quite relaxing and warm. Food was as good as it gets presented with style and full of flavour. One observation is the waiting staff should not communicate future orders to each other as they pass through the first room from the kitchen, this is all that held back a five star rating.

Absolutely amazing. Super cute and cozy location, lovely staff and outstanding food! We all loved our meals!! Everything was beautifully put together and most certainly Instagram material.

Half good half bad. Nice setting, poor food and service. The pork was very good and the beef filet that should have been medium rare was dead as a shoe sole. The service person was inattentive and uninterested. Doesn't live up to the high standards we have found in other South African restaurants we have visited.

Booked a table on short notice easy via what’s app. We loved the “forced” candle light atmosphere through load shedding. The service was very attentive and very good. The food was very tasty, the portions are small but you start to focus on the meal. So it doesn’t become a rubber band action, it becomes something special. And I loved the vine. The rose was tasty. I just can recommend it to people who love good food, good vine, a nice atmosphere and want to forget about consumption. Especially that all Ingredients are locally sourced made much more confident in my decision to have dinner there. Would come back if I would have the chance

We had a table for two and enjoyed a fantastic dinner. The food was really delicious and we recommend a stay there. They offer different wines as well as fantastic desserts, and honestly my panna cotta was one of the bests I‘ve ever eaten. The beef and Solomon were the dishes we tried - look at the pics, they will speak their own language.

Exceptional food prepared beautifully and full of flavour. The concept of sourcing local ingredients from neighboring farms is truly reflected in the food, so nutritious. The atmosphere is so romantic, set in a historic building with elegant simple lighting. It was the highlight of our trip.

Field&Fork is one of our go to places in Swellendam. The French style dishes are always delicious and we love the candlelight atmosphere. Interesting side note: Chef and owner of F&F is also the mayor of Swellendam.

We came here for supper and were harassed by a group of about 8 street children, they hounded us when we arrived, they blocked us when we were trying to leave, they swore at us when we asked to leave us alone, they were honestly very intimidating. I won't be coming back to this area as it was extremely unpleasant. Guy's you might as well close you restaurant down if you can't get this under control.
