My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Bloomestate. This beautiful property gives you the privacy and amenities of a luxury hotel, with the homestyle hospitality and care of a BnB. Cheré and Calvin are naturals at making guests feel comfortable. The large room was immaculate, the breakfast was beautifully prepared, and we appreciated the suggestions about what to do in the area. They noted our preferences thoughout our 4 day stay and reacted with thoughtful personalised touches that I'd only expect from a 5-star experience.

Absolutely amazing retreat space providing luxury accommodation, nestled in nature with a citrus orchard on the property. Amazing breakfasts by a qualified chef and the most amazing hosts providing such care and attention to detail. We wanted to escape the city for a few nights and left feeling recharged thanks to this little piece of heaven in the heart of Swellendam! Will definitely return again!

Hands down one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed at. The hosts are super friendly and so accommodating. Sent us a list of restaurant suggestions before we even arrived, recommended the best spots for us to visit. So much attention to detail was paid to the smallest of things that made the stay that much more enjoyable. From a hot water bottle every night to their their homemade treats here and there. They really pulled out all the stops, thank you so much Calvin and Cherie :)

We've been traveling throughout South Africa and this is the best guesthouse we have stayed by far. Since the arrival we were excellently welcomed by the family but once we saw the beautiful room we had, we were amazed at first sight. The room has luxury and style as well as everything you may need to have an amazing rest. I really loved that they take into account all the small details (branding the toilet paper, small romantic/necessaire with bath salts and condoms, or even Netflix on the room). We loved this place and we would love to live here. Please adopt us so we can stay forever here 😂❤.

We stayed over for 3 nights and felt welcome from the minute we stepped into this little gem. This is the best guest house that we have visited by far. Cheré and Calvin were the perfect hosts. They assisted with dinner reservations and advised on activities in the region. The breakfasts are prepared to each individuals taste with freshly baked pastries and homemade preserves. The establishment is set in a garden that rivals most country estates in Europe. The hosts are warm, kind and caring. Their attention to detail is immaculate and makes one feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and the home-made pastries were a tasty treat. Overall, the meal was a fine dining encounter. An added bonus was shopping at the padstal.

Cheré and Calvin made us feel like royalty… the consummate hosts at a magnificent place…. Incredible accommodation, delicious breakfast and picnic…. An absolutely sublime 3 days! Highly recommended for couples and families….. Gratitude

Absolutely amazing guesthouse, matched by an amazingly hospitable staff. The grounds are tranquil and conducive to all the relaxation you want from a holiday getaway. The owners/hosts are particularly are super friendly and hands on, helping out with whatever you need; from planning things to do to making suggestions and reservations for lunch/dinner plans.

We had a lovely 3 night stay hosted by the incredible Cherie and Calvin. They couldn’t have been more helpful and it’s that level of personal attention and service that makes all the difference. Our room was spotless, modern and very comfortable. The facilities available were excellent - everything we needed.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Chere's guesthouse. 5 star service from herself and her husband. We travelled as a family of 4 adults and 1 baby. Rooms were spotlessly clean and huge (photos do not do them justice!). Travel cot, changing mat and big basket of toys for the baby. Delicious breakfast and again, high chair / plate / bowl / spoon for baby provided. Lovely touches like self service bar and honesty box, communal space with games / DVDs / coffee machine. Tea and coffee provided in rooms. The surroundings are absolutely stunning. We only stayed one night and we all wish we had much longer to enjoy the beautiful estate.
