We had such a beautiful stay, we stayed for 2 nights, got woken up by tiny chirping birds - beautiful, the gardens, trees and mountain views. The hosts were amazing and breakfast was amazing too. Not to mention their two friendly dogs.

Incredible hosts, a house filled with history, spacious rooms, mouthwatering breakfast, extremely patient and accommodating of little, busy kids...I absolutely recommend Aquaelberg Place to any and all travellers. Loved our two nights stay there.

Aquaelberg was one of the highlights of our roadtrip from Durban to Cape Town. Rienet and Brad welcomed us and our 3 noisy children with open arms. The room was 6 star and so was the breakfast. We also walked to get supper. Walking is unheard of from where we come from! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a lovely place. The owners will do everything to make your stay comfortable. The garden is full of birds and on the other end is the view of the mountains. Inside you can enjoy a game of pool as well. The breakfast is just awesome. I had so Smoked trout with scrambled eggs. Would definitely get back here!

If you want to get away from the busy life, this is the place for you!! I've read the reviews before i made a booking @ Aquaelberg place and I can assure you that It is what it is, this place is amazing!! Our hosts were so friendly and accomodating. The service was excellent! The room had everything, from shower gel, soaps, hand lotions, towels in the bathroom to tv, hairdryer and hot beverage in the room with a cute kettle. Everything was neat and tidy! Oh and the breakfasts was sooooo delicious! We were given a menu to choose. The owner Aubrey would come and ask what whould we like to have for breakfast the following night already. Its was so so delicious. They love what they do and the house is beautiful. The friday we booked in, and i asked the owner wher do I pay. She told me we can settle in and pay the following day. I have never come across service as these. Humble people who love what they do. Thank you Aubrey and husband. Our stay was awesome, we'll be back again!!

Hosts are very friendly. We booked a room but were 1 day before the date we booked the room. We felt stupid but it wasn't a problem. They made us feel really comfortable and prepared a room for us where we could stay. The breakfast was awesome! So if you want to stay in Swellendam, go to Aquaelberg Place and you will love it :)

We stayed here for just one night, even tho I really wish we had time to stay longer. The house is big, and the common areas are so nice, very antique and beautiful. A big garden and you can watch several different birds if you like. One of the best breakfast we had in South africa. We got some great tips for our trip back to Cape town , scenic views all along the road insted of the more boring N2 road. Good silent location, just a short walk to several nice restaurants. The rooms are big and comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Host was baie nice gewees . They made us feel home did enjoyed every bit of it. breakfast was the best wow thank you so much Reinet and Brandon. Very clean and neat 👌will definitely go again .

Lovely family home turned into b&b. Very helpful owners/hosts. Large lounge area and lovely garden.

Big rooms with balcony. Really nice house with a lot of place just to relax and enjoy. House with a family history, very well lived - you instantly get this homey feel. Short and nice walk from local museum and restaraunts.

Such an amazing place! Incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. Feels like home. The tastiest breakfast. Stayed there in March 2023 and will definitely choose the same place when visiting Swellendamm next time.

Wonderful stay. Owners went out if their way to make the stay comfortable. Staff were efficient and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. Loved the dogs and the cat as well.
