I’ve been here countless of times. My biggest complaint is the prices for the portions. You’re charged extra for meat and often will receive a very small amount. Especially if you order a piada you will receive very little inside no matter how much you select. Recently I ordered the strawberry salad with salmon and this has to be the best item on the menu with the best portion size for the price. I also recommend the lobster bisque. The food tastes great and there are plenty of options, I just wish they’d give you more for what you pay. If I’m going to pay 3$ extra for chicken, I hope that I can taste the chicken with more than 1 bite. They also include chunks of lettuce that are inedible in the salads. I understand they’re rushing with the lunch crowds, but I’d rather wait an extra 15 minutes than receive a salad with chunks I can’t eat.

Literally had to wait for my “pickup and go.” There’s no breadcrumbs on the macaroni as advertised and there’s ZERO chicken or bacon in my pasta carbonara. The chicken is $2 extra. Calling the store gets you nowhere because no one answers. Busy or not this is ridiculous. I want to be refunded and I will keep calling and emailing until I get my money back for this meal.

Food is good. But never order 2 same bowls. They never give you same amount of pasta for the 2nd one, but always less in the 2nd bowl. I have ordered the same Diavolo Pasta for me and my friend. Here is what happened. No chicken fritte in the second one and the amount of pasta is less than the other one. This happened for MANY TIMES. How am I supposed to share them with my friend?

My daughter and I stopped by here while driving through Oakland. Parking sucks, so we had to walk a little. Assembly line type setup where you pick your noodles, sauce, protein and add ins. Salads and wraps available also. I had Pasta Carbonara and my daughter had Marinara. Both were really good and fresh. The breadsticks were really good also and I Highly recommend the Cannoli chips. The workers good stand to be a little friendlier though. They all seemed like they were hating every minute of being at work. We would go again if in the area but probably wouldn’t go out of our way to eat here again.

I don’t like to give a low review. We gave them 3 more chances after a bad experience, because we do love their food (when they get it right). Last night was the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak. Raw rice or almost raw rice in the power bowl. I mean the rice was so hard, it was hard enough to break someone’s tooth or braces. Couldn’t pick out the rice and eat the rest of the bowl since the rice is mixed throughout. Never ordering from this particular Piata again.

Not a fan. Not Italian food. Another cafeteria style, design your own mediocre food bowl, pasta, salad, wrap. Nothing special. For college kids that will eat anything and are looking for change of scenery.

I’m a fan of this chain and have ordered from the other locations multiple times. Ordered ahead from this location on three separate occasions and consecutively not received the order on time. Today my order was placed around 10:30am for pickup at 11am as that is my lunch [half]hour. The order wasn’t ready when I arrived 11:07, inquired about it around 11:15 and was told the production line is “working on tickets” mind you there were new customers coming in and having their order made while we the preorder people (me included) waited. Around 11:25 I asked to cancel my order and speak to a manager. The manager never came back out even after I asked to speak with her, though my order was eventually cancelled. Wasted my lunch break and received no food - when all they had to do was explain they were busy then just make my salad. Don’t plan on going here again, nor do I recommend. Try the location up by Target.

Food is usually good, but this time, it was a mess. My wrap was a pile of things on a thin piece of foil that I had to eat with a fork. Employees are nice, but not focused on making the food properly.

As a person of Italian descent, with a 100% Italian grandmother who made things from scratch, I'm almost angry at how good Piada is. How is their calamari actually that good? How are their dishes so flavor balanced? How did they distill key Italian dishes into "fast" food?? 10/10 would recommend.

Possibly the worst customer experience I've ever had. Ordered large batch of food for a club event-- the delivery tracker on their website was broken and the ETA kept updating to be later and later. Called the store three times to check on the order-- once about 10 minutes after the original delivery time, at which point they said they were working on it and it would be out in 5 minutes, once 30 minutes after that, when they said they were working on it and sending it out at the moment, and the last time 1 hour after that. I was told the delivery driver had already picked it up and the girl picking up the phone was very snappy and rude. I was told that I would be called back "if they had time" (it was 2hrs since the original delivery time at this point) and hung up on. Very disappointing experience overall, do not recommend supporting a business that treats their customers this way. Never got the >$200 order of food.

waited over 50 minutes from the time my order was supposed to be ready and they hadn’t even started making it yet. ended up having to cancel it. i guess there needs to be some way for them to shut down mobile orders when it gets that busy or make the time estimate more realistic because standing there waiting for an hour for one item of food is crazy.

As a huge fan of Piada, I was happy to find that they were in Pittsburgh. This location is spacious and the food is good as usual. The student discount is also running here, so the value is amazing for students as you can get a bowl with a protein and a drink for $8. The place is usually not busy, but sometimes service is slow for some reason. Location is great though, next to Pitt and CMU campus.

Arrived to pickup my order. It was missing from the shelf. Talked to the girl behind the register and she refused to remake the order. Told her co-workers I was over an hour late. Completely not true. Finally gave up and left. Still haven't been refunded.

My food is always great and prepared in a relatively timely fashion. The wait times can be pretty extreme sometimes, depending on the time of day, but are very good overall. Staff is always friendly and helpful too.

Every time I get food from here, it’s quality is different and today was the last straw for me. The chicken in my wrap was burnt and for someone who likes spicy, was so spicy that the wrap was inedible. The crispy calamari was no where near crispy, I barely had any peppers with it, and it lacked any flavor. Not giving them my money again.

The place is dirty, staff are incredibly slow and unbelievably rude. Came here for a fundraiser, waited 20 minutes for someone to take my order despite no one being in line, and then they refused to apply the fundraiser code even though it clearly said the date of the fundraiser on the flyer. Food is OK but not worth dealing with the unpleasant staff

The food was very good but just pretty pricey. The regular is a substantial size and great for dinner! I got the diavolo sauce and it was great. It is like a mildly spicy vodka sauce. I would highly suggest this place if you are okay with paying a little extra.

Authentic Italian food with good taste. Could have included more vegetarian options for sure. I was disappointed they have no veggie protein options. Portion sizes are okay but can be bigger.

Nobody working here has mask/hairnet on. I thought people should wear at least hairnet and/or a mask in these types of restaurants even before the pandemic. I always ordered ahead of time, at least 5 times a week, but they couldn't find my order twice in the past 5 days when the app tells me it's ready. Half of the food here tastes super salty. The other half is pretty good though.

Ever since Joe Mama's went under, I've really been missing a classic no-nonsense red sauce pasta joint. This is not that, but I'll gladly accept a solid bowl of noodles at a decent price. Al dente, just how I like 'em, although the flip-side was that I should've gotten more sauce because the default amount was a bit weak. The protein add-ons could offer better value, as well, but the noodle portion is great and there's free veggie add-ons for extra bulk.

The food was sloppy-asked for bow tie pasta with chicken and spinach. Order contained spaghetti noodles n bow tie pasta and three leaves of spinach. Restaurant could also be cleaner. This is no comparison to the one in Texas. Will try the location near Bloomfield, PA.

Seriously the BEST meal I experienced during my stay in Pittsburgh. I ordered the Mediterranean Piada with salmon with extra harissa. I praise this meal, I don’t think I came up for air, I wish there was a location near me, it would absolutely be my go to spot.

They are always so quick to prepare the food! I love getting the chef's favorite wrap and the diablo bowl. Their food options are so delicious! Especially if you add the sweet red peppers! In person service is a bit rushed but it's all worth it.

I like how they have vegetarian options, and today when I went in, they really made sure no meat touched my food! They changed their gloves without me even asking!
