Food is great mix of items which we all love but with a creative twist which is executed to perfection. 👌 Recommendations Food = Fried oysters and sirlion. Honestly, what a great place. But what did I really expect from the people who brought us "Hello Aunty" in Marrickville. Came here with two other friends to enjoy the start of the long weekend. Everything was on point, from the nostalgic "Paris by Night" cocktails, to the signature plastic stools reminding me of many a past backyard party around Cabramatta/Saigon. Add in some live music starting from 7pm and the vibe was awesome! The fusion with Vietnamese flavours + western style is done very well and my group left with a few ideas of our own, as well as conversations on what our parents would think! Prices were extremely reasonable for the quality and servings were large, staff very friendly. Would love to visit again on the weekend where I've heard it turns into a club/dance feel. Combine that with the great drinks and excellent snack menu and I think this is the next great after-work hangout location. P.S Sorry about the burnt menu 🔥

Went with a few friends from a Melbourne and all I can say is what a dope experience. Only a short walk from either Museum station or even Town Hall, really easy to find with the Hey Chu logo lit up on the sidewalk and cool decor as you ascend up the stairs to Hey Chu. Really chilled vibes walking in make this an awesome place for kicking it with friends or a date. Now the food, oh my lord the food! From the oysters (fresh with jalapeño lime and the fried chicken skin fat) to the Kingfish tumeric and the Tuna in black pepper citrus oil, raw beef tenderloin and the epic prawn toast, everything just hit perfectly. From refreshing to DAYUM and everything in between. Now let’s talk about the mains. I am DEFINITELY coming back for the coconut braised pork pappardelle, I am well and truly addicted to it and the Aged beef was refreshing. Cooked perfectly and not heavy on the stomach. Last but not least, cocktails. Shouts to the bar because every drink was delicious and dangerous because it barely tasted like it had any alcohol. Caphe Muoi and What the Pho were definitely my favourites. As you can tell by the photos, there are some missing because it looked so good we had to dig in straight away. Will definitely be back because there’s still a lot on the menu that I still want to try! I think I just found a new home for my weekend nights. Kudos Hey Chu 🙏🏿

Had a lovely experience at Hey Chu. Staff were great. Every dish had strong flavours and the No.6 cocktail is a must try. Prawn toast was a little heavy but perfect for a cheat meal.

Went here for dinner and really enjoyed it. It can be a little hard to find as it’s inside the hostel. I recommend the prawn toast, lamb pappardelle and kingfish (not pictured). The slider was well cooked and the blue swimmer rice cakes were nice but didn’t stand out. The staff are still finding their footing, but they’re very attentive and friendly. I do think the restaurant could use a large wall artwork or decor to make it feel bigger and elevate it. It feels a little like a room with a restaurant at the moment. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and will be coming back to try the cocktails and desserts!

Awesome little find, my partner and I ate in last night. Everything was perfect from the greetings to the atmosphere to the delicious food. Special mention to Peter who made us feel especially welcome . Will definitely return when we come back to Sydney.

@heychurestaurant is a new Asian fusion restaurant from the creators of @helloauntierestaurant The food was worth raving about because I just found the best prawn toast in Sydney ! The roasted pineapple dessert is like fireworks in your mouth 🎆 Mala wings is an interesting flavour I couldn't figure out.. whether it's Indonesian spiced but it sure was addictive. Thit kho pork papparadelle reminded me of beef ragu but with thick Asian flavours sauce and slow cooked pork. The cocktails reminded me of mums and dads favourite activities and cooking. What the pho was like spicy Margi with pho syrup. So creatively made ! We had such a fun evening. Thank you @heychurestaurant for an incredible experience. Will be back soon 🤭 Abalone roast chicken congee pot pie Prawn toast lime gel prawn mayo lardo Potato crisp whipped ricotta house chilli anchovy Rice cakes wild mushroom Mala Wang's Thit kho pork Seasonal leaves Jackfruit apple pie creme fraiche ice cream Roasted pineapple with coconut ice cream Cocktails No.6 Kareoke What the pho Paris by night Caphe muoi

A NEW and VIBRANT that’s perfect for DATE NIGHT! From the same team that brought us @helloauntierestaurant, @heychurestaurant - a Vietnamese inspired joint with great fusion dishes and an extensive drink menu had come along to steal the show. With a full house for the night this place really roared to life with a room filled with laughter, good conversation, lots of photos and a vibey playlist (shout out @rexorangecounty). Unrealistic shoutouts aside, shoutout for real to the staff there. They were awesome and it was good to see them have just as much fun as we did. The beautiful lanterns inside really set the tone for the constant assault of interesting dishes and spectacular flavours. The portion sizes were as expected, but man did I get full a lot quicker than I had anticipated. Add the wine, mango mocktails and pho mocktails to the night and bam! A recipe for a successful night out.

Where do I begin? Every part is well-thought out, and there is obvious attentiveness to how it is presented, what each customer feels when they attend, which is incredible to see in a bar. The owner, waitstaff, and bartenders are wonderful, and ensure that each person has a positive experience, and leave satisfied. The atmosphere is a mixture of kiche and eclectic crockery that reminds me of my childhood, and a modern take of an incredible bar that you find in an alley, feel at home, and never leave. The incredible menu boasts something for everyone and the staff were kind enough to make a change to ensure I was served a vegan meal. The menu was obviously deliberated in order to pair with the exquisite cocktails prepared by the lovliest bartenders. Regarding the cocktails, do yourself a favour and order Number 6, Kareoke, and Caphe Muoi from their fantastic bartenders. Treat yourself to the wide range of elevated cocktails, wines, and liquor available, from their extensive menu that boasts enough choice that there is something for everyone. Each expertly-made cocktail is layered and unique to the establishment, with infused liquors and personal touches to ensure each drinking experience is a reflection of their attention to detail. Make a booking (after April 3rd) and go say hello to your uncle!

Situated above the Downing pub, you will see the logo projected on the floor of the street. Staff were friendly & food came out at a decent pace. Tried the prawn toast, cabbage side & the pork pappardelle which were all so tasty & full of flavour but prices slightly on the more pricier side. Good for groups as well as intimate dining for two.

New venture from peeps of Hello Auntie, great vibes fri night with live music and interesting food (dry-aged streak was generous and yummy but pricey), pleasantly surprised and will be back

Came on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet, so food came promptly and the service was quite focused. The springroll and wings were good, and the mushroom butter cabbage was suprisingly delicious - creative flavours and nice texture. The thit ko lamb parpadelle was nice, but I wish the noodle was bitier. The dishes were all quite rich, which was slightly heavy as we are not massive drinkers (especially not on a weeknight).
