We dined fairly late on a Thursday night and Uyen Vietnamese Restaurant was still quite busy. Our meals were delicious and portions were substantial. I'd never heard of deboned chicken wings before so had to try them. They were extremely tasty. There is not much except for the chicken on that dish, so you may need to order something else with veggies. We were sharing a plate of stir fried mixed vegetables with tofu and there was a huge range of veggies included, lots of them and very tasty too! We also shared one serve of rice which was so large, it was more than enough for the two of us.

Four of us had a meal last week and loved it. BYO with uncomplicated menu but more than enough choice and the food was very tasty indeed. Lovely staff too, daughter Vivian doing the ordering/serving and up for a chat with dad doing the cooking. A really nice experience, highly recommended.

Excellent food! My partner and I went for the first time the other night without a reservation and we were lucky to get in. The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. I highly recommend this place as it is a family owned restaurant and you can tell by the quality of the food and service they provide.

Simply the best of the best! Authentic magnificent food. Wonderful service, lovely staff and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend! EDIT: We have been back to Uyen a number of times since my original review a year ago. We've been back with groups of friends or just with our immediate family. Totally happy with the food, the service and the prices. We consider ourselves as "discerning diners" when it comes to Vietnamese food, and to date we haven't found any place within the eastern suburbs that would beat Uyen!

Fantastic food! The deep fried snapper is incredible! I took my friend here for her birthday and we were going to order desert for her birthday but we were full by the end. I thought we just wouldn't have desert but brought out a candle and some lint balls so we could sing happy birthday. It was really sweet and a really nice surprise. Also the wait staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Love it here can't wait to go back!

The food here is absolutely delicious, with fresh, tasty ingredients. The service is friendly, welcoming and quick. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
