I can't recommend these guys enough. They were very patient with my total inexperience. I achieved a two minute pool breath hold on my first day. The second day was depth training with grey nurse sharks. Such a great experience!!

I had the pleasure of joining another incredible freediving retreat organised by Curtis (Deep Sensations Freediving) in Jervis Bay, NSW. And I just loved every bit of it! It was all about reconnecting with nature above and under water with like-minded people. Small group, beautiful location and insane marine life (whales, seals, sharks, cuttlefish to name a few 🀯). An absolute 10 out of 10‼️

From meeting with the owner Curtis to completing his two day Wave 1 training, it is clear he is in his purpose and on a path to homing his intuitive craft as a professional Freedive instructor, trainer and athlete. His presence is inviting, claming and exudes patience. Coupled with a deep passion to explore the world beneath the liquid surface and an eagerness to share it, you are bound to come away with a newfound curiosity for the human capcity, to experience deep sensations that await in our underwater oasis. A frequent scuba and snorkler, I was of the impression I had expereinced the aquatic wonders that Bushrangers Bay had on offer. However, it is clear that freediving is by far the most profoundly sensational method of exploring this special place and any other that lies in the shallows or depths of this liquid world. With freedinving, you do not to explore it, but to coexist alongside it. If you have any reservations about freediving, dip your toes in with Deep Sensations. Under Curtis' guidance, your introduction into your forgotten ability as a marine mammal is sure to be triggered, inspiring your growth both below and above the surface. Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain.

Went to Tasmania with Deep Sensations and it was just fabulous! It was a very social event with plenty of time to relax and get to know our guides and fellow participants, delicious dinners (cooked by Curtis himself!) and amazing diving. Curtis engages with local divers to learn the best places to dive and benefit from local knowledge. A great trip!

If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I'd gladly do so! Deep Sensations Freediving came highly recommended by a friend, and I was so grateful for the opportunity to continue my pool training while in the area briefly. As someone relatively new to freediving and slightly apprehensive about meeting new people, Curtis's warm welcome and immediate rapport put me at ease. His pool sessions catered to all skill levels, and his teaching style is a perfect blend of support and constructive guidance. Additionally, organizing social dive days open to everyone was a brilliant initiative, allowing me to connect with like-minded individuals. I'm confident that I'll be attending one of Curtis's retreats in the near future!

Been meaning to meet up with Curtis for a fun social dive but when he ran a retreat on the Central Coast I jumped on the chance to be coached by him to improve my freediving. Little did I know it would be the best weekend ever, and I'd meet some of the loveliest people so I highly recommend joining one of his upcoming retreats! I've always underestimated myself and been unable to relax on open water sessions which has often made me turn early. But Curtis was one of the best instructors I've had, his style of teaching clicked with me, taking away all pressure. I felt super confident to hit PB's and make that depth comfortable. Each dive was super chill and felt easy knowing Curtis was right there as my safety :) Will happily travel to join Curtis and Brodie on the float anytime

Curtis is a really gentle person to learn the important diving skills from. I love the small size of class, which enables him to take care of students very well in the water. He loves sharing his valuable experience with us too. It's a very positive learning experience for me. Just one suggestion for students - Need to start learning/practising equalisation skill way before the class starts. It's difficult for some people.

Just returned from a retreat in Tasmania with Deep Sensations Freediving, what a well organised and fantastic experience! 🦭 Very educational and great mix of activities for the duration of the retreat! Curtis was really enthusiastic about freediving, he has a calming presence in the water and is happy to assist in any way he can for all levels. Super knowledgeable and gave us awesome tips! ✨ If you are considering another company, stop looking and book with Deep Sensations Freediving! Highly recommend! Looking forward to further training! πŸ”₯

An experience nothing short of amazing! Huge thanks to Curtis and all his efforts for putting together an incredible weekend away down south. So much beautiful sight seeing from pretty sunsets to the underwater world. A load of content, fun activities; roasting marshmallows around the fire, feeding stingrays, bbqs & card games. Most importantly the incredible people I was lucky enough to share this experience with. Will definitely be back for more!

Had an amazing dive retreat in Tasmania with Curtis! A great mix of freediving through giant kelp forest, with playful seals, underwater caves and hunting for weedys. He created an amazingly comfortable environment and range of activities that suited everyone. Just in case being a passionate dive instructor and activities coordinator wasn't enough, he was also our driver and chef. Highly recommend joining one of his retreats πŸŽ‰

Wish I’d done this sooner! Curtis is a magician! Teaching me how to take my love for the water to a whole new level. His knowledge on the body, breath work and dive techniques is incredible, and he so effortlessly individualised the course for each of us based on our own abilities. Everyone felt safe and showed massive improvements straight up! Cant wait for all the social dives deep sensations have, explore the underwater world and make new friends who love the ocean too ☺️ Can’t recommend this course highly enough, sign up, like yesterday! πŸ˜„πŸ€™

We had a great line training with Curtis today. He made us feel relaxed, the session was fun, and he helped us improve our technique a lot. It felt very easy to reach our previous personal best depths under his instructions. We are looking forward to have more dives with Curtis.

I attended a line training session with my friend. Curtis was punctual; we talked about our experience in freediving and took some stretches and breathing exercises before our dive. The visibility was crisp, and we had a wonderful time together. It was a relaxed yet fun experience. He gave us advice and took care of us when we dived down. I'm sure I'll book more sessions with him!

I can highly recommend Deep Sensations Freediving to everyone who wants to learn free diving. I had no experience before and exceeded my own expectations of how long I can hold my breath. Curtis is a very knowledgable and passionate instructor and seeing him so calm and relaxed in the water, gave me the confidence to push myself a little and even dive with grey nurse sharks.
