Lovely spot for watching planes land and take off at the Kingsford Smith Airport at Sydney. Parking space available most of the time. Kids will surely enjoy it. Ideally one can spend 15 to 30 minutes if they are a plain spotter and an aviation enthusiast who is interested in having a closer look of planes land and take off. Thereโ€™s a view point with shelter; so if itโ€™s raining also one can still enjoy the view.

Good place to park and watch airplanes if you're waiting to pick up someone from the airport. Only 12 min drive from the international terminal and it has plenty of parking

Excellent place for plane spottingโœˆ๐Ÿ›ฉ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ›ฌ. Eat your lunch while watching the aircraft take off and land. Take your girlfriend there for a canoodle๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿคซ Some good history there. Read the boards about Charles Kingsford Smith and Charles Ulm. Australian aviation pioneers. Great views of the airport control tower.

Great spot to take the kids. They love waving and yelling bye at the aeroplanes. There is a Maccas close by too if you want to have have a feed.

Great place to watch the planes and take the kids to see. Would be even better if you could see the other side of the runway and if there was a picnic and playground area but honestly, highly recommended (especially for that little pilot in the making)

If you love to watch planes land and take off then this place is a must. Easy to access and park, you can watch the planes from your car or from the lookout deck which is undercover. Parking is a 3hr limit and itโ€™s free. There is a Maccas just up the road next to the BP so good place to chill, watch the planes and enjoy a cheeseburger.

Took the kids for a spot of plane spotting. โœˆ๏ธ Great spot to see incoming/outgoing planes taxiing on the runway. Plenty of parking spaces available and also lots seating for the โ€˜spottingโ€™ part too.

Nice place to experience the sights, sounds, and if the wind is from the right direction, smells of commercial aviation. It is possible to achieve reasonable photographs of the aircraft even with an entry-level smart phone like I have, with a good DSLR camera with a long lens great photographs could be taken. The site includes parking for around 20 cars, the elevated viewing area is accessed by a well-paved, gently sloping path. A small shelter with benches is provided, unfortunately there are no public toilets here, as far as I could see. There is no practical public transport to the site, those who don't drive will have to resort to a taxi or ride-share.

Great lookout that get's very close to the planes! There's almost always people around so don't expect to have the place to yourself. Parking is always available.

Great spot to check out the planes if that is what you like. They come very close and you can easily see the markings on the side. Plenty of parking. You don't even need to get out of your car. 4 stars because there really should be a toilet here.

Not too bad but you canโ€™t see the domestic runway and you donโ€™t get a nice view itโ€™s better if you can see from the other side but itโ€™s nice for a chilling

As an avid self proclaimed avgeek. This location is perfect for any spotter or would be enthusiasts. When runways 16R/34L are in use you can see narrow to large bodied aircraft rotate in front of you. Plenty of parking and a great place to bring kids.

Perfect for the kids You're able to see the airplanes take off and land from the car park. Grab a coffee from the maccas from around the corner, go sit and relax, or wait there and watch a friend or loved one take off or land! The best!

It's nice to be able to see the big planes go past so close. Really gives a good perspective on their size. Makes you doubt how they are able to fly...

Great place to spot planes as they go by slowly. Not the best sight to watch planes take off and land but it's a great spot to see them up close.
