Tishreen
War
Panorama
Museum
At
the
entrance
to
the
city
of
Damascus
in
the
far
east
lies
the
panorama
of
the
October
Liberation
War,
with
a
structural
design
inspired
by
the
architecture
that
appears
in
our
Arab
castles.
In
the
middle
of
a
large
garden
with
an
area
of
approximately
62,700
square
metres,
there
is
a
bronze
statue
of
the
immortal
leader,
Hafez
al-Assad,
in
his
military
uniform,
as
he
leads
the
Tishreen
Liberation
Freedom
Movement.
Behind
him
is
an
architectural
cover
of
a
pictorial
scene
that
embodies
a
vivid
picture
of
the
heroic
battles
that
took
place
on
October
6,
1973,
and
the
7th.
from
him.
Given
the
importance
of
the
October
Liberation
War
in
modern
Arab
history
and
the
necessity
of
entrenching
it
in
the
memory
of
Arab
generations,
and
to
make
it
a
national
model
for
raising
a
generation
that
believes
in
the
justice
of
its
cause
and
is
capable
of
giving,
this
was
an
architectural
edifice
that
embodies
the
ideas
and
values
that
the
October
War
implanted
in
souls
and
minds.
.
Entering
the
building
means
a
lot
of
feelings
of
love
and
enthusiasm
sent
by
these
paintings
and
pictorial
sites,
as
the
visitor
first
stands
in
front
of
two
panels
of
relief
engraving
on
the
stone,
one
of
them
on
the
front
left
wall
representing
the
martyrdom
in
the
Battle
of
Maysalun
and
its
hero,
Youssef
Al-Azma,
and
the
second
on
the
wall.
The
front
right
represents
construction,
work,
and
all
the
achievements
of
the
blessed
correction.
Within
this
architectural
edifice,
visitors
wander
between
two
side
wings.
The
circular
section
has
a
dome
with
a
diameter
of
43.6
meters
and
a
height
of
37.1
meters.
At
either
end
of
it
are
stairs
that
lead
the
visitor
to
the
two
wings
and
then
to
the
panoramic
viewing
platform
on
the
upper
floor...
from
which
the
war
can
be
witnessed
in
detail.
Its
details
include
soldiers,
weapons,
and...
and
we
see
the
city
of
Quneitra
before
the
enemy
completely
destroyed
it,
in
addition
to
two
arenas
for
displaying
weapons.
In
the
first
arena
are
some
models
of
Syrian
weapons
and
equipment
that
were
used
in
the
October
War,
and
in
the
second
arena
are
models
of
weapons
and
equipment.
Israeli
weapons
used
by
the
enemy,
and
obtained
as
spoils
of
war
during
combat
battles
against
the
Zionist
enemy.
There
are
also
many
paintings
that
clearly
reflect
the
antiquity
and
authenticity
of
Syrian
Arab
architecture,
including
a
large
painting
with
a
length
of
130
metres,
which
is
one
circular
piece,
where
the
visitor
enjoys
watching
the
scenes
of
the
most
important
incidents
of
the
October
War
depicted
on
those
paintings,
within
twenty
minutes
of
sitting.
These
scenes
are
accompanied
by
sound
effects
and
explanations
of
the
battle
with
music...
and
at
the
bottom
of
the
painting
is
a
field
full
of
evidence
and
models
that
suggest
the
realism
and
credibility
of
the
scene.
Therefore,
the
panorama
that
was
held
in
1998
AD
is
a
place
that
carries
within
its
wings
the
history
of
this
proud
people
and
this
great
nation.
It
should
be
noted
that
this
wonderful
achievement
took
years,
during
which
Syrian
engineers
and
friendly
Korean
artists
participated
in
developing,
designing
and
implementing
work
plans.
This
building
resembles
the
panorama
of
Cairo,
which
preserves
the
memory
of
art,
through
its
embodiment
of
important
events
in
the
history
of
peoples.
