Believed to be a place of worship for pagan Vikings. There are 5 ship-like structures that form the shape of a ship with the exact dates unknown. There is a mound in the middle. It's worth climbing to have an overall view of the place. There is a bus that runs nearby Västerås C that passes by the site. The place doesn't require you to pay a ticket. There is also a cafe there to enjoy coffee after a walk.

It’s a beautiful and historical place and you can enjoy the nature around there. However, if you just go alone and you are not really fan of Swedish history.. hmm this place is not special for you.

This place is an archaeological site for doing research activities. This place consists of people who were burried more than 1000 years ago.On April 30th,2022 there was a festival conducted here.We went to see the programme here. Overall this is a nice place to take good amount of photography. There were 2 small hills near to the stones.Children were playing on the hills. As a tourist ,you can witness the stones being beautifully placed in the shape of 8 when you see the view from the hill top. There is a small café near to this place.

Little is known in detail about the gravemounds and stone circles (or "ships") but you will possibly learn more than expected, as the signage is quite informative.

Cool historic burial mound and stone ship site. Interesting glimpse into ancient life in the area. There's a cafe and picnic grounds next door. A nice rest stop along the E18 highway.

Absolutely breathtaking! So many ship mounds and burial mounds, with several information boards - the entire area is beautiful. Highly recommend stopping over, and trying the goulash from the cafe by the site!

You can really feel the presence of history here, impressive mounds and ship settings. The rune stone is also worth a visit! When we visited there was activities like prepare your own yarn from lambswool, learn a Viking board game, practice swords fencing. Not sure how often they do that, but it was very nice and interesting, the kids loved it and now we also have a Viking board game at home.

This place vibes with energy and ancient echoes! Right in the heart of the ship sized rocks arrangement you can meditate and feel the energy. Important info: it is a free place to visit.

Pretty cool and interesting place to check out if you like history and archaeology. It's great that it's an open park so you can walk all over it, compared to Stonehenge where you can only glimpse it from afar. There is also a pleasant short nature trail to walk explore, with many signs giving a brief description of history and geography of the area.

Astonishing ruins, easily accessible by public transport from Västerås. 100% would recommend to someone visiting Sweden for it's wonderful historical heritage, or looking for a free viking-ish place to hike around. There are plenty of hiking routes around. Bonus: as Cafè Anund, a very friendly place is so close even the rain cannot affect your trip :)

about 1km walk around the stones/vessels, a lovely 1 hour program in a nice setting. The tuna salad at the bar is really nice

Visited Anundshög during a weekday morning in Autumn. Beautiful surroundings and I love the mystery of the place.

Very nice. Loads of information about the site. Nice place outside to eat and play for the kids. Cafe good too. The info centre could do with a bit of personality adding to it tho.

Great place to get burgers and chips. Both the burgers and chips portion are Goldilocks-sized: not too big and not too small. This place does burgers how they are meant to be done, with a good balance on ingredients and serves hot.

It is the biggest burial monument in Sweden. 9 meters high and you are allowed to climb it. In the vicinity there are loads of historical landmarks and everything is well covered by information signs.
