Visited on a holiday with very minimal rush but a famous place to visit part of the five holy pancharama. Easily accessible from nearby bus station and has train connectivity as well from narsapur or bhimavaram.

Very famous temple in palakollu, many visit this place every day. This temple has a large gopuram. Lord Shiva's temple. Temple is not huge in size. Location is good and outside facilities are there. Near to main road, everything is convenient. Beside temple there will be some sweets and coconut flowers sellers.

ఓం నమః శివాయ ! This is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva as the milky-white Ksheera RamaLingeswara Swamy, and is considered as one among the Pancha Rama Kshetras. Mythologically, the temple is associated with the legend of Bhavishya Purana - slaying of Tarakasura. Historically, it was built by Chalukya Bhima 1 (Eastern Chalukyas, r. c. 892-921 CE). The 9 storeyed Gopuram was built by Alladu BhupalReddy (Musunuri Nayakas/Rajamahendravaram Reddys c.15th Century CE). The temple and the mythological legend associated were eulogised by the great Telugu poet, Srinadha in his works, Bheemakhandam & Bheemeswara Khandam. Kalyana Mandapa was built much later. It attracts huge crowds during the month of Kartheeka. There are some pillar inscriptions (issued by among others, Rajendra Chola 1 & Chalukya Veerabhadra) & carvings inside the temple, but sadly they are getting eroded with no proper care/historical sense.

Significance of Ramalingeswara Swamy is that the Shivalingam at the temple is the tallest one and has a unique milky white color. The shiva lingam which is popular as moola virat is visible from all four sides of the sanctum sanctorum or garbha griha. In addition one can also view several other gods like the Sun God, Devi Parvati and Lakshmi, Veera Bhadra, Kanaka Durga, Nataraja, Shankara, Radha Krishna from all four sides.

I have witnessed a beautiful kalyanam today with decorations were done thoughtfully. Red roses with a trident (trisulam) is sight for sore eyes. THE MUSIC during radham and in the evening along with fireworks took me almost to trance and kids around has started dancing too. My hearty Thanks to the Temple trust and ppl who made it happen.

It is situated in Palakollu in west godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. A direct train facility is also there. It is near Bhimavaram. If you plan for a three day stay, you can cover three districts with many temples (krishna, godavari districts). Many beaches are also there. Antarwedi is one of the famous place.

The Ksheera RamaLingeswara Swamy Temple in Palakollu is a must-visit for devotees of Lord Shiva. The temple is one of the five powerful Shiva temples in Southern India that form the Pancharama Kshetram. Situated at the place where the Bay of Bengal and Vashista Godavari meet, the temple offers a serene and beautiful location. The temple premises are well-maintained and kept clean, creating a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. The darshan (sightseeing) is free, and you can also opt for a closer view from inside the Garbhagudi by purchasing a ticket for 100₹ per person. The archana (ritual offerings) can also be performed here. One of the highlights of the temple is the prasadam (free meals) served on the back side of the temple starting from 10:30 AM. The simple vegetarian meal is satisfying and shouldn't be missed. If you wish, you can also contribute by donating for annadanam (food distribution). The temple provides adequate paid parking space adjacent to the premises, making it convenient for visitors to park their vehicles. However, it's important to note that food availability outside the temple is limited, so it's advisable to plan accordingly. Public transport options to the temple are limited, with only a few buses available to Razole town. If you're coming from the train and Vijayawada side, Narsapur is the nearest rail and major bus station hub. From there, you'll need to cross the Vashista Godavari river by ferry to Sakhinetipalli and then take a shared auto to reach the temple, which is approximately 16 km away. Overall, the Ksheera RamaLingeswara Swamy Temple offers a divine experience, cleanliness, free darshan, prasadam, and parking facilities. It's a place where you can seek blessings and immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance

Love the temple a lot. It has almost all different Hindu Gods. It's feels so pleasant inside the temple. Also we can climb up the Gopuram to have a look of the complete town but it's chargeable.

This temple is one of the pancharamas(the five sacred Shiva temples in godavari region i.e,except for amaravathi all being in godavari districts), Do go on Mondays during abihsekam seva and also buy 50rs antharalayam ticket as that provides you access in to internal sanctum of lord and more darshan time and with that ticket there is no need to stand in the line for darshan as we go to drashan from the entrance in the back side of central shrine. archana will also be done on that same ticket.

Ksheerarama is one of the five Pancharama Kshetras that are sacred to the Hindu god Shiva. The temple is located in Palakollu of West Godavari in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Shiva is known locally as Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy. The Sivalinga was established by Vishnu. It is believed that staying one day in Kshirarama is equivalent to staying one year in Varanasi.[clarification needed] It is one of the centrally protected monuments of national importance.

This is 1 of the holy place in Pancharamlu Andhra Pradesh. This was first consecrated by Lord Vishnu and worshipped in Threatha Yuga by Sita Ramachandra prabhu. For this reason, this place was dedicated to Lord Shiva Self - manifested here as Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy along with Parvati Devi. Pengonda is far away, Sri Vasavi Kanayakaparameshwari along with Nagaraswara Swamy self- declared here. We can reach this destination by Train or bus easily.
