This station comes in the station of the train going to New Delhi Darbhanga. Where after changing the engine, the train from Delhi goes towards Darbhanga. Train stops here around thirty minutes so, If you want to get some snacks and water you can buy from the stall at the station. Overall this station is well-maintained and clean.

The major facilities available are waiting rooms, a retiring room, computerised reservation facility, a reservation counter and vehicle parking etc. The vehicles are allowed to enter the station premises. There are refreshment rooms with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items, a tea stall, book stall, post and telegraphic office and Government Railway Police (G.R.P.) office. Automatic ticket vending machines have been installed to reduce the queue for train tickets at the station.The station is also equipped with free Wi-Fi. The station also has recently been equipped with lifts at both ends of the station.There are seven platforms at Samastipur Junction. The platforms are interconnected with two foot overbridges (FOB). Platform 3,4 and 5 are the busiest platforms and are mostly used for long-haul trains.

One of the clean station but under development, rest house is on one side. Other side has nothing rather than a ticket booking centre.

The station was in very good condition and well done, cleanness was lil. Bit absense there was no proper food cart, there was only one or two on each platform While what else can be said its all part of Indian railway

Nice place very clean railway station. Modified escalator stair. Automatic stair escalator. Almost all over india train passing here . Gang man Track Man well working their job . Sweeper also do there job for maintain good neat and clean plate form and railway station compound . There me be theif who stole mobile phone and money you need to awareness to take care of everything personals. Have a nice journey.
