Very nice property. At night, skies are blue and clear. Map location is on point. Rooms and property is clean and well maintained, but not spacious. No cellular service but they have wifi nowadays. Caretakers are very warm and very hospitable. Tried out Malnad cuisine for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. Loved the food, the caretakers. The road to the location has no lights if you are travelling at night. Also, do ask for a tour of the heritage house. Old world charm.

I am generally very critical about food and stay when travelling. I want everything best but then in reality it does not happen and I spend my vacation cribbing about something or other. but This place has not a given me a single reason to complaint. The property is in lust green fields and has areca nut plantation. it is easier to reach. it is blend of traditional architecture, interior and modern facilities. Rooms were clean and beautifully set. it has very nice dining hall, sitting arrangement is very good. play area is covered with lawn and is open. u can sit in front of your room and enjoy rains. The verandah opens in the plantation, where u can sit and read a book, have your tea or snacks. it is away from locality so u will not hear sounds of vehicle or construction. it is very peaceful. I fell in love with the property but the best part of the stay is the food. it is the best food I ever had. they made so many Karnataka food items and they were very tasty. I recommend everyone to stay here for at least one and taste the food. actually u can take 4-5 days vacation and spend it here doing nothing, just enjoying nature away from busy and fast life of Bangalore. It is the best vacation for me because of this stay. The caretaker uncle is a hands on host. Food was the best. I am planning to visit the same place every year because of their hospitality. thank you.

We visited the homestay last week. The location came up accidentally during our search for a homely resort for a 4 day trip. Agumbe location is the best for a fully wet and green stay. Regarding the homestay, 1. Location: This is an age old grand home built by the property owner's ancestors. Located among lush green location. August was full of rain. But it appears that this rain itself is less compared to last year. Please visit. Enjoy the natural sounds around the farm with peacock sounds. 2. Reception: Shivin who takes care of the guests is very soft natured. Thimappa and two ladies (cooks) Mytri and Vanajakshi too good and soft spoken at all times 3. Food: Try their local flavours instead of asking our favourite food. They are very accommodative. Neer dosai was very unique 4. Nearby places: You can visit shringeri in 1 hour. Kollur in 2.5 hrs. Udupi in 2 hours. Don't miss kundadri hill top. Amazing spot with zero visibility and you can literally touch the clouds 5. Route: we went through Bangalore. The drive after shimoga up till Muduvalli is an awesome drive area for interested drivers. Not narrow like agumbe Ghat. The roads are well laid and wet and broad and smooth to touch 80 to 100 regularly. 6. Sakrabailu Elephant camp: This spot is 50 kms before muduvalli in the banks of Thunga river. Try to be there by 8 to 10 AM. Damn good place to enjoy with elephants. You can also bath and interact with them. 7. Property: Try to spend a day in the property itself and walk around for a calm experience. You can feel the pure air and atmosphere and calmness. Thanks to Shivin and Team for a wonderful experience. Will try to visit each year
