We had a divine darshan of Sharadamba Devi, Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha. The temple compound is huge but beautifully maintained well with complete cleanliness. There is a huge lake towards the back of the temple where giant fishes were filled. A bridge runs across the lake connecting the temple to the quarters of Gurus. We can purchase temple prasad and many other items like books and puja idols from inside the temple. There is also an option to pay for different sevas to Maa Sharadamba. It is a must visit place if one is visiting Sringeri or nearby places and takes the blessings of Devi Saraswati.

The sharadamba godess is well known for her spread of knowledge and wisdom. In this temple there seems to be too much of preference given for some sadgurus or such people rathe rthan the goddess. The main temple is just scintillating and really liked the way I can see the goddess from the entrance itself rather than maintaining different prices for different doors. The Tunga river near is very nice to play and feeding the fish with murmura also is very satisfying.

Sri Sharadamba Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Saraswati. Temple is located in the town of Sringeri in Karnataka, India. The Sharadamba Temple at Sringeri built in 8th-century. Founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Aksharabhyasa performed here is considered to be sacred and fulfilling. The parents of kids in the age of 2-5 are given a slate and chalk, a plate of rice on which they pray to Goddess Saraswati to impart good knowledge and education to their children. This temple is located on the river bank of Tunganadra river. We can feed the fish with puff rice on this river bank Most of the priest in the temple are multilingual and are fluent in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, English and Hindi You feel the Devine and blessed when you visit the temple. Lastly the temple architecture. Temple cared using black rock and is a great demonstration of Indian architecture.

One of my favorite temple to visit but this time was my spl visit 🚗 the route to the temple from Mangalore is very good but problem is after 60km ghat road which connects shrigeri very narrow and also challenging. All poojas are there including aksharabyasa and also prasada is served after pooja afternoon and evg. Temple is cleanly maintained and security is also good. Due to covid in the entrance you have to produce your I'd cards and Fish pond is not opened for public. Special extraction 2 Elephants 🤩🙏 you love it

God Bless alll This temple is located in a serene, peaceful, Cool and calm atmosphere, Drive from Horanadu to Sringeri through beautiful ghats, Narrow roads and crazy non-honking traffic. Was not crowded much.. Do try Prasadam food.. You should be able to find a lot of accommodation starting from ₹400..

Shringeri Sharadamba Temple, one of the famous temples and peetha. The complex has a very old Vidyashankara Temple at one end, next to the Tunga River, which is full of big size fishes. Near temple we can find a hanging bridge that is very beautiful Temple is clean and peaceful, with a brightly coloured gopura at the entrance. The temple was established by Shri Adi Shankaracharya in 8th century.

Temple is divine and pious. Events like Pravachanam and classical singing are regularly organized. Healthy and delicious South Indian prasadam lunch and dinner , they are free of cost. Accomodation is available right in front of the temple. With general stores and vegetarian hotels. Priests, staff and are polite welcoming. Not sure rush in Devotees with a very pleasant attitude. Request every devotee in the future continues to be the same that helps maintain a long lasting divine experience to everyone around. Good security around.

Well maintained inside and dirty outside surrounding the temple, hope people who liver there and visit are more responsible? The 650 years old temple structure is that to eyes. The lunch was good and we enjoyed sitting on floor and eating.

We embarked on our journey from Dharmastala at around 10 am on Monday, October 2nd, and reached Sringari at 1:20 pm. Our primary purpose for this trip was to perform the Akshara Abhyasa ceremony for my daughter. Fortunately, we arrived just in time, as we were close to the closing time for the Akshara Abhyasa ritual. We kindly requested to participate, and they graciously accommodated our request. During the Pooja, we were the only participants, and it was a truly serene and meaningful experience. Typically, this ritual is conducted in the morning until 1:30 pm. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a delicious Anna Prasad meal that was both tasty and satisfying. We also took some time to visit the riverbank, although we didn't spot any fish, likely due to the hot afternoon weather. Overall, our visit was marked by a less crowd, allowing us to have a close and meaningful Darshan of Sharadhama Devi, with ample time to spare.

Wonderful Temple Sculptures are too beautiful , well maintained. One thing I got to know when making visit this temple, Nothing is greater than Indian architecture. I’m surprised by the rock sculptures without any technology they used carve by their hands. Take a bow.

Very beautiful temple. It has Sharadamba Shaktipeetam temple and Shankaracharya math. Gopuram at the temple entrance is amazing. In the night, Gopuram with lighting is a must visit. Car parking is available at left side of the temple(left side when facing the temple). Even a common hall is also available for sleeping. Devasthanam accommodation available. One need to visit booking office for accommodation booking. Booking office is right side of the temple(right side when facing the temple). Must visit Sirimane Water fall also.

The Sringeri Sharada Peetham is a revered and ancient temple located in the town of Sringeri in Karnataka, India. It is not only a place of religious significance but also a center of learning and spirituality, making it a unique and revered destination. The main deity of the Sringeri Temple is Goddess Sharada, who is considered the goddess of wisdom and learning. The temple complex is beautifully situated on the banks of the Tunga River, surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere. This natural setting adds to the spiritual ambience of the temple. One of the distinctive features of the Sringeri Temple is the tradition of Sharada Peetham, a monastic institution that was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. The temple serves as the headquarters of this revered matha (monastic organization). It is a center for Vedic education, philosophy, and the propagation of spiritual knowledge. Pilgrims and scholars come from far and wide to seek wisdom and guidance from the spiritual leaders here. The architecture of the temple is relatively modest compared to some other grand temples in India, but it exudes a tranquil and devotional atmosphere. The temple features a serene courtyard with beautifully carved stone pillars, and devotees can offer their prayers and take part in rituals in a peaceful and contemplative setting. Visitors to Sringeri Temple often find a sense of inner peace and spiritual solace. The serene environment, the sound of the flowing river, and the teachings of the revered spiritual leaders create a profound and meditative experience. In summary, Sringeri Temple is not just a religious site but a spiritual and educational hub that preserves the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya. The temple and the Sharada Peetham are beacons of wisdom and knowledge in the realm of Indian spirituality. It's a place to find solace, guidance, and enlightenment, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking a deeper connection with their spiritual selves.

it is situated inside the Sringeri Mutt. Sringeri got its name from the ancient hill Shringa Giri, believed to be the ashram of Sri Vibhandaka Maharishi and his son Sri Rishyashringa. I would recommend you to spend some time near tunga river and that suspension bridge. The view from that bridge is amazing. Great Landscape. Since It is considered as the sacred river hence you can take bath in the morning before darshana. Watching the fishes in Tunga River at Sringeri is a enjoyable. Visitors can also feed these fishes and watch them.

Beautiful temple, loved the ambience and got a great darshan. There are toilets, you get Prasad here as well. So if you want Prasad you can plan a visit time so you can have the food here. There is a river full of big size rohi fish. People feed them rice and bread.

A History will tell you all about the place.. One of the Greatest temples in Karnataka.. I visited during navarathri decorations was mind blowing💐💐💐 Must get the blessings of Sri Sharadambe🙏 Enough parking space, Nearby River and you are not allowed to take bathe in the river from inside the temple where you have access to the river. Difficult to find rooms when it's season time. Or Public holidays.

Calm place with a good vibe. Maintained clean and neat. The priests are friendly too and not high and mighty like most. Even though there was a fairly large crowd it was managed very well.

Divine Destination...A beautiful, calm and serene temple situated on banks of river Tungabhadra, dedicated to Shree Sharadambha Devi, and is popularly known for 'Aksharabyasa' ritual. The temple built in a 8th century with very amazing architectural work done during that time which shows the how advanced the our Hindu culture at that time. Near to the main temple there are other small temples too. Prasadam is available in afternoon and night at free of cost. Near to the temple you will find lot of Accomodation options. Must visit Shringeri Shardamba Temple to have a divine experience.

Performed Aksharabhyasa for my son here in June end and it’s such a blessing. No need to do advance booking for any pooja. Avoid going in monsoon as drive can be risky. Best to visit after monsoon to enjoy lush greenery.

Divine blessings of mother sharadha be with devotees, place is by far well maintained both in the surroundings and also the staff are courteous to the needs of devotees. Gives an indication why temples should never be run by secular governments.
