Indeed, what’s written in the Bible was exactly in this place of Arabia. In Exodus 17:6-7 God said that He would stand on the rock at Horeb, and He instructed Moses to strike the rock so that water would come out of it. This milestone in Israel’s history is cited again and again throughout the scriptures. One such passage is Isaiah 48:21, which says, “He made the water flow out of the rock for them; He split the rock and the water gushed forth.” Isn't it amazing how God preserved this place by His divine power preceding in the book of Exodus?

A historical place to visit. Better to visit in the morning so you can appreciate it's beauty and take time to remember God's goodness and take photos. For the history: The Israelites complained to Moses regarding no water for the community. So Moses prayed to God and God instructed him what to do. However, because Moses got angry, instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock twice with his staff. There the water gushed out, the whole community and their livestock drank. ( Numbers 20:1-13)

Amazing Biblical site where Moses struck the stone and water poured out. Also where Israel fought the Amalekites. Worth checking out before it becomes a tourist spot. Currently you can climb to the top and touch the rock. A little bit of a challenge to climb because there are no paths.

From main road, It took for us atleast less than 1 hour before we arrived. Aside from a rocky road, It is also too far from the main city, so check everything. Your car tires, gas, bring packed of foods and enough water, also wear your comfortable outfits if you wish to climb. Okay! Awesome place and I think if you wish to camp here it’s also a good idea and think about why this place becomes one of the most historical place. For sure!, you’ll definitely love this place.

Awesome experience. Need to do q 10 minute climb up a steep rocky slope to get to touch it, take photos and marvel, then came down on the other side. We have a cool weather around 9° - 12° at around 10am-12nn.

Good place to visit, if you're interested in geology and older civilizations. Visit during winters, keep all the essentials with you like food and water, as you will be at least 15 kms away from the main road, and you need a proper 4x4 to reach this place. Be cautious, if you're planning to reach the peak. Descent is more problematic, as more chances of slippery rock. There are some man made structures, with rocks, at the base, would interest the history enthusiasts. Some interesting views of the Jebal Al Lawz in the background, make this place a memorable visit.

Historical place. The Split Rock of Horeb. though it's hot when we visit. the place is really stunningly beautiful. you need a 4x4 to go there as it is really isolated place. there are Saudis waiting there or need to contact them before coming as not too much people driving the 4x4. May expats go here.

No cp signal in the area. Need 4x4 car to get through the rough roads. Need a lot of sunblock and good shoes for hiking. Bring lots of water for hydration. I have been in the place July 20, 2021.

Split Rock of Horeb is a historical place. You can reach this place from Al Bad going to Alsharaf, from the main road there is compressed mud road from Masjid-e-Fayez till the split of rock, so you can go with normal Sedan car or SUV.

I read that it was a challenging climb - the issue is when you step and slip on smaller piece of rock. My hiking shoes were not good enough. But all in all a WOW experience. It is dead quiet- in 45 min we heard one bird. I believe that was part of the experience- no distractions. One the mountains and calmness

Pleasant and short hike. You can easily access the base of the rock through the dirt rock built for Trojena's project needs. It is almost 20km from H55. the hike is 10-15 minutes that includes bouldering in a rocky terrain. Have some good grip shoes and hat. The rock is more or less 8 to 9m high. You can climb through the slot but needs attention. Please leave only your footprints

Where moses apparently split the rock and water gushed forth. This area of Saudi is beautiful. Similar to Kings Canyon in Australia. Beautiful scenery. Mixture of igneous and sedimentary rock formations. You need a four wheel drive. Be properly prepared and make sure people know where you're going.

It’s a Hajj Holiday and we are in the place where in the book of Exodus has mentioned about “The Split Rock of Horeb” and believes to be a holy place and its ground. It’s really adventurous and nice place to visit during public holidays in 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia.

Split rock of Horeb AKA rock of Moses. A mesmerising and untouched place must visit before any projects get started.
