It's still closed till now and you cannot go inside. You can just take photos outside the castle and overview the beauty of the sea.

A historic castle built in 1560 by Sultan Suleiman of the Ottoman Empire currently stands as a dead site near lush seaside. And I am surprised that the site is not well-protected as it should be by now. Maybe the ministry of tourism has plan to develop or renovate and make it presentable to the visitors as they have developed scores of historic sites across the kingdom in the past couple of decades. I have read that this castle also has four wells and once upon a time, it was used to house the soldiers and employees along with the agents and the commander of the castle. The castle is located around 50kms from Al-Duba city and is easily the most exciting point of Al-Muwaileh Castle.

From the outsiede: an excellent specimen of well built, large castles. It should reslly be maintained better. Looks like a storage facility. Locked. Dirt roads. No road signs to show the way. The whole town needs a coat of paint.

Looks like a beautiful place with lots of history, but went on a Tuesday at 13:00 and was closed by a fence and gate. What a pitty the opening times mentioned is not correct
