My wife and I are obsessed with the food and drinks here. Today was our 2nd time coming here , it was so great. The tamales have a choke hold on me ! I absolutely love the food and service.

The food was amazing!!!! And drinks an food is reasonably inexpensive. It was clean an the staff were sweet and helpful and on thier toes!!! The food came out quickly an hot! And momma and I could only eat a 1/3 of our plates before getting Togo boxes, wow that was a lot of great food. I recommend the shrimp enchiladas an momma is still raving about the chicken fajitas!

This was our first time at this restaurant and I will say their service stands out. Everyone was very friendly and polite. Food and drinks were amazing. We will definitely go back.

If you haven't been... GO, NOW!!! This place was great, food was amazing and presentation was on point! The 3 of us had street tacos, Pastor, Asada, and lobster tacos. By far top 3 best tacos around! Highly highly highly recommend you try them out!!!!👍👍🤘🤌🤌

The food and service is always great! I have never been disappointed or had a long wait. No matter how many people are inside the restaurant, your server will always make several stops to make sure you're happy. The chips and green salsa is the best in town. One of my favorite places to have a quick bite to eat. Really love the food here!

Although it was full, we were seated within 10 minutes. The hostess was apologetic regarding the wait--it was Valentines Day--very busy, but the service was excellent. After we were seated, the waitress brought warm tortilla chips and two varieties of salsa. (One red, one was green) Both delicious and just a little heat, enough to crave more! Appetizer was three huge chicken flautas which we ate and agreed; we needed nothing else! Our food arrived very quickly after ordering the special of the day--Fajitas for Two--a real bargain at $25.00. The large platter was generous with steak strips, and we each received a plate with beans, rice, salad and guacamole and sour cream. Also a hot tortilla keeper with several flour tortillas. We ate our fill and took leftovers home. Will return with friends. It was excellent from greeting, to seatingorderinf and eating. I hope Tonala stays here and expands.

Fantastic food and the beat Chile Relleno that I've had in quite a while. The portions are huge and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. They have definitely earned their overall high rating.

Awesome and huge lunch after a morning hike. Burrito Tonala is amazing. The chicken inside is marinated and tasty...making the burrito different than any other burrito. Yummy!

I’m not sure why this place has such a high rating. I had to leave a google review for this restaurant. I ordered a veggie burrito and the vegetables were literally the ones you get out of a freezer bag. The food was way too salty, with no complex flavors. I will not be going back. While I give these blunt critiques, it was food.

we have gone multiple times and it’s always friendly, fast service. Today we had the tortilla soup, with sour cream and tortilla strips on top. This was super creamy and loaded with flavor . It had advocado in it which made it extra good. Husband had pollo a la cream, also good, however I don’t Care for peppers. But still a 5/5 !

If 1 million stars was possible I would give them this was the best food I have ever had and now my number one restaurant to come too if I get asked where to go. Over all best experience with host and servers and makes it feel friendly and like I am at home. And the Margaritas are like the ones you would make at home “ heavy handed”

Tonala Mexican Restaurant is a great place to have a delicious Mexican food. Excellent customer service from the time you enter to paying for the meal. We ordered and within 10 minutes we had our meal. The food was delicious, I highly recommend Tonala’s.

Not too great. No one in my family seemed to really like it. We ate it but we didn’t love it. Probably won’t be coming back…

Always a good place to pop in really quick and get a bite to eat in the bar or if you have time to sit in the restaurant. Food will never disappoint!

My 4th trip to Tonala. I've tried a different dish each time. I've NEVER been disappointed. Always enough to bring home fir a great snack! Wonderful service too!! Update. Visited today... Cinco de Mayo!! As always excellent food. My favorite is still the lobster enchiladas. Spanish coffee hit the spot on this damp and chilly day.

As a California native, I was raised on Mexican food. This place does not disappoint. All their meats have excellent flavor, the shredded chicken is moist, and the service is friendly. This place easily has the best Mexican food around. This will definitely be our new spot!

We have been coming here every sense they open 2 years ago at this point I would not ever suggest going there again when we got there. We were seated. Seem like we were gonna have a good meal. We were waiting for my son. It was my birthday dinner My son had the Tamales and Chile relleno plate. I had the pastor street tacos and my significant other had. the taco salad that had no flavor mine were so greasy You couldn't eat it. My sons were literally so gross the chicken, You couldn't hardly chew it and the plabano was not prepared, right? It was gross. The chips were served cold and stale. They no longer apparently do warm chips. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And I wish that we still had our old mexican restaurant back because it was way better I think they just no longer care about their food or how it's presented.

Excellent food!!! And kind and attentive staff. I was surpised how quickly the food came our and would absolutely eat here again. The salsas were flavorful and fresh and the chips were fresh and warm. The burrito was well portioned and very tasty. The mole was very good. The horchata was some of the best I've had and the flan was very good as well.

Coming back from visiting Rainier we stopped by this gem of a restaurant. Super friendly service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Ok, I went to this restaurant because my friends have been recommending it for oh lets just say about 9 months now. So I finally tried it. Wow what can I say I was very impressed. Not only because of the food but because of what we spent on the the food and how much we had left over and we payed less then what we would have spent at any of the Fast Food places. Now not only that we ordered takeout. So my daughter and I had a chance to sit down and observe the interaction between the wait staff and the customers. The best way to describe it is, If any of you watched the show Cheers,? where someone walked into the bar and everyone said the persons name. It made you makes you feel like you belong.. I would definitely recommend it. As soon as you walk thru the door you feel like your part of the family.

I ordered the Tonala burrito like I have many times before along with 2 sides of Pico. Usually the sides of Pico are put in the square styrofoam container. Instead, they charged me the same price and gave me 2 small round plastic solo cups of Pico. Definitely not worth $3.30 each. This used to be my favorite place to go for Mexican food.

A nice family place where you can get a good meal and feel at home. We enjoy the enchiladas or quesadillas most visits, and most recently we enjoyed some guacamole that was really fresh. Love being able to have margaritas or a bottle of beer while chatting with family or friends. A great neighborhood hangout.

Just happened upon this place on a trip to Washington. Mexican food is my favorite and this was the absolute best I've had. The salsa was so good we bought 3 to-go containers. My only complaint is they are not in Eugene, Oregon!!

Been here several times and have yet to be disappointed. Super delicious food and very friendly staff. Juliana is usually our server and she's the best. Highly recommend Pollo Ala Crema but sub the steak for the chicken. So good. They also have margaritas in a cup an goldfish could live in. Update: Here now and still amazing food and service. It is wonderful to go to a restaurant and receive this level of service and delicious food. Wish I could give more stars. TONALA is setting the standard. Thank you.

This place is so good! My table had a few different entrees, everyone loved their dish & we all agreed the rice is some of the best we have had! Our server was also very kind and attentive. I also enjoyed how the atmosphere stayed calm and chill even when there was an increase in tables during dinner.

Excellent service, delicious food (a tad salty but so good), and huge portions. I had the spinach enchiladas and there was enough to take home for a second meal.

I was so excited when my husband asked me on a date here today! Our waitress was so nice and helped us pick the best plates, I didn't see her name but she knows who she was! She helped us not pick the wrong sauce! Enchiladas were perfect, everything fresh, great music and cultural atmosphere as well as VERY CLEAN. Second great time here! Will be back :)
