Location and amenities was excellent but i had a bad experience with the breakfast buffet area. The male staff at the restaurant reception area was not so nice. Maybe I just had a higher expectation but its sad to see 1 employee ruining it all. But aside from that experience it was an amazing hotel to stay.

My first time in this Marriott was January 2021 when it was brand new build. I spend around 180 nights in this hotel so far, and I tell you, it's better than in the beginning. The rooms are big, well cleaned and the beds are cozy to sleep really really well. Breakfast is not the best I had but a high upper class standard (you have to try the great souffle). The restaurants serve good intercontinental food too. But what made the Marriott in Daegu to an high light for me was the outstanding kind and friendly stuff! You will always find something bad in a hotel, especially when you're a long staying guest, but when you feel as a person and not just as money then it gives you a pleasant stay. And this I had! Thanks to Esther, Honey, Hue, Steven, Lily, Cheahpong (just to say some). I hope it was not my last time there. Greetings Thomas

Staff are totally non cooperative, Information not share properly. They switched off Ac in night and want guest to open window for that you can't sleep in night due to noise. No clear response. Pool is charged which is not expected by paying that much.

Was here for business the staff told me they don’t turn on the A/C until June. You can’t turn off the heat in your room 3 weeks was hell. It’s 28 Celsius 83 degrees. They brought in a fan. They don’t have screens on the windows so the bugs come in at night. Also the pool cost 25.00 extra each time you use it. Not sure if this a S korean thing but you paying high prices for Marriott you expect the pool included. The Marriott looks new and nice staff nice. But it’s not worth staying here if you have to deal sleeping in hot heat until June and can’t control it to turn off. Next business trip telling everyone to find another hotel. Cause there ones cheaper and you can control the temps in your room.

My room is beautiful, the staff friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet definitely worth the cost. My only issue is the AC isn't working and even with the fan my room is hot. I saw another post recently that the AC hasn't worked in over a month. This is inexcusable for the cost and status of this hotel which is why I am giving it a 3 star. If the AC worked I would give it a higher level.

Marriott Daegu staff is top notch. Friendly and professional they went above and beyond every expectations. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the food was delicious and again service was impeccable. I highly recommend the Lounge and happy hour, finger food and drinks while talking to your friends was a high light. M club on the 11th floor with food drinks and computers. Very close to restaurants and a Very nice Mall

The room was not well cleaned. There was stain at the bed frame from previous guests. There was cigarette smell in the bathroom also. A hotel with this price I expected a better service.

A very new hotel located within walking distance of Dongdaegu station. The location is excellent and the amenities within the hotel are top notch. The fitness centre is extremely well equipped. Zero complaints, but do take note that if you would like to use the sauna or pool, it is actually chargeable.

Nice hotel. Great location. PROS: Great location. Literally a 5 minute walk to Dongdaegu station and Shinsegae mall Modern rooms Good service CONS: Surprisingly little storage space for clothes. Large closet, but that's it. NOT an American bed. They use the hard Korean beds

I stayed here last year for almost 2 months. This hotel is one of the best Marriotts in the world. Ive been to many and this is better than most. The rooms were great. Location is awesome with a bunch of restaurants and shopping near by. The gym was great with all kinds of equipment. The service is the best part. Service was AMAZONG. I will definitely be back one day. Thank y'all for everything.

The location doesn't front a major thoroughfare but it is a five minute walk from the Dongdaegu train and bus station... very convenient location. The facilities are contemporary and new. Very well kept facility.

The room overall was nice and updated. However, they shut off the AC for the season and my room was over 80F my first night. It was awful. They did give me a fan but I’m really surprised that this is the norm at a full service Marriott. The staff is lovely and helpful. I’m not blaming them, this may be beyond their control, It is just way too hot to shut off the AC. As a customer, I feel that the temperature in my room should be at my discretion.

One of the best hotels in Korea! Amazing customer service and hands down the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The room was spacious and very clean. There tends to be an issue with dust in most hotels from the linens but not here. They have great child bed rails for kids. Normally they are small and only cover a portion of the bed but they have large ones that cover the entries length of a king sized mattress! Only did the dinner buffet as I normally skip breakfast. The buffet was decent and an easy option when eating with kids. The only downside for me was the strong perfume smell. I’m very sensitive to smells and it seemed a bit overwhelming at times. I think this is on purpose to mask the sewer smell from surrounding outside construction.

Hi there, We stayed at this cozy hotel from April, 22th to 23th, 2023. We were totally satisfied with this stay at the Daegu marriott hotel. Irrespective of just one full-time restaurant and club lounge without attendants, it deserves a title of Marriott, especially with a gym on the 4th floor that I have ever experienced such a mega-grand gym outside Seoul city. In addition, because of very close location to the hot spot, Shinsaegae department store, it usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes from the hotel by stroll. It is suitable for young, chic couples seeking out a fun, stylish vacation. However, it may provide few benefit to elite members, especially Titanium member, such as complimentary upgrade to a suit room.

Very nice hotel, matching the level of distinction comparable to the same brand hotels in a large city, like Seoul. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive and tasty, especially the pho! The executive lounge was well equipped with staff and amenities. Courteous service and willingness to provide Bonvoy benefits. The hotel feels much better than when I was here last year. Post-COVID normalization is apparently ongoing, with good success, in my opinion.

First off I want to say Thank you to all the staff who were involved with helping me and especially a big Thanks to the Front Office Manager Ms. Soo. She was very excellent with customer service and very professional at all times. Ms. Soo was very accomodating with my multiple reservations that I had and even helped me change or add my dates on the spot. Ms. Soo was very fluent in both Korean and English languages. I definitely recommend anyone visiting Daegu to stay here anytime. The food and room were excellent and very clean. I give this hotel a 10/10 & beyond 5 Star rating. I truly thank all of the front desk staff for having me and my family. Ms. Soo's demeanor was the utmost professional highest standard at the Marriott chain. Ms. Soo even helped our family with a bit of a situation we had with the hotel. She rectified it right away and even called me back personally. She even escorted our luggage and us to the lobby for our transportation. Daegu Marriott should definitely give Ms. Soo a promotion and a BZ and a job well done!!! My family continues to stay at this location at Daegu Marriott Korea for the remaining of our stay in Korea. Thank You Again Ms. Soo Front Desk Manager for everything!!!-Daniel Yun

Quick walk from the train and bus terminals. Modern, clean and well kept city hotel with the right amenities. Room service was quick and food was hot. Urban kitchen, their in house restaurant, serves up a large variety for break and dinner. All good and drinks on par with level of the hotel. Lounge is a nice touch for happy hours.

Pros: The room is quite spacious and the full length windows do give a good lighting to the room. The front desk staff is amicable. The location is close to Dongdaegu station and there’s a Sinsegae department store nearby, very convenient. Cons: The desk is quite small, instead of a long window-side sofa, there could be more surface area or desk space. The mechanical parking structure operating personnel was not present when it was peak check-out time so that held up a line just waiting for him to come back from getting coffee.

My room was great, but I had a lot of issues with the check-in staff regarding my Marriott gold status and even though it was confirmed over the phone they refused to accept it. Then proceeded to tell me only Platinum members could utilize rewards. Food was very expensive and the buffet was mediocre

This is a great hotel, the rooms are well appointed, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is really good with lots of choice. Buffet lunch is very good, well cooked food and lots of choice. The pool and spa is fantastic! The pool is heated to a perfect temperature, the water is crystal clear and it is a 20 metre pool - perfect! The jacuzzi is amazing, nice and warm and huge! I love this hotel!

One of the best and most modern hotels I've stayed in. The service is incredible. It's a very clean and luxurious hotel with good amenities. If I ever come back to Daegu, I will definitely choose this hotel again!

What a fantastic hotel. My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and will certainly return. The atmosphere was neat, clean, and pleasant which complimented the staff. Everyone was courteous and welcoming and addressed any of our concerns. Everyone spoke great English which lowered the language barrier. Our room was amazing with amazing views of lovely Daegu. Within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and bars, we didn't require much taxi service. The only issue (due to advanced security) was our inability to travel to friends' rooms. You must use your room key to move throughout the hotel and unless you have someone's key you must meet in the lobby. Minor inconvenience but grateful for the piece of mind that unauthorized visitors cannot easily get to the guest rooms. Highly recommend!
