Dark chocolate gelato was really amazing. Friendly service with reasonable prices. Must try!

Loved that we could get 3 flavors even in a small cup. So the two of us split two smalls, and were able to try all 6 flavors they had. They all blew me away, except the peanut butter cup which I merely thought was good. The dark chocolate sorbet was ridiculously good and dark chocolatey, we were shocked it was a sorbet. Greek yogurt crunch was maybe my next favorite, but really, they were all excellent. The place is tiny but there's outdoor seating

This is an ice cream parlor. Many young people love their ice cream. Many flavors to choose from. Also clearly identifying gluten, vegan, nuts, egg for your preferences. We ordered Coffee, Strawberry, and peanuts butter . Rich flavored but not too creamy.... Service was good...

We hired Shy Guy to cater our wedding and it was one of the best choices we made. My husband and I studied abroad in Italy and knew that we wanted to incorporate gelato into our wedding - and Paul was all for it! He was great with communication and came and scooped for 2 hours at our wedding basically non-stop...it was a huge hit! His gelato truly rivals the best we had in Italy and it was such a unique experience for our guests, and truly made our wedding special. We live 1.5 hours away from his shop in Burlington but we'll make trips every few weeks to get pints to bring home because it is just THAT good!

Incredibly flavorful, light, and creamy gelato, with creative rotating flavors and an adorable vibe. Whats not to love? Easily the best gelato i have ever had. I love that they offer portion sizes to fit everyones wants. All i waited all summer to get here and was not disappointed!

best gelato ever?? we got all 6 flavors available in two medium sized cups. our faves were pumpkin spice, greek yogurt and raspberry sorbet. must try when you’re in burlington.

I honestly have so many praises for this place. The qualityf of the gelato, the service, the owner of the place... everything was a really nice experience! We went to Burlington for the day on june 30 and wanted to get some ice cream because it was really hot! We looked up the place with a friend and we are so glad we did! I never tasted gelato this creamy yet textured and fresh. The menu is changing daily, and the gelato is made on the spot and is incredibly delicious. The BASTANI gelato was out of this world. The layers of flavours and the different texture was amazing. I first got the BASTANI and STRAWBERRY LEMONADE and it was delicious! I event got to taste the NECTARINE one and oh my god, it was even better than eating an actual nectarine. The owner is so sweet and the place is neat and friendly. I would recommend stopping by Shy Guy Gelato for anyone going to Burlington. My friend who spent some time in italy said she went 3-4 times a day for gelato and Shy Guy Gelato really give a run for the money for so many places in italy. I myself have family over there and I am a hardcore fan of gelato and I never tasted anything like it. We wanted to walk and eat the gelato but endend up sitting at a table to actually enjoy it. The whole time we were eating, we couldn't believe how good the gelato was. I live in Quebec and I would gladly go back to Burlington only for the Shy Guy Gelato. If I could rate it 6/5 I would! After we finished our ice cream, we headed back inside to say how much we actually enjoyed the gelato!

Absolutely delicious. I'm still thinking about the nectarine Gelato I had a few weeks ago, is was so fresh and natural tasting!!!

Paul is the absolute best and such a talent! We have long been shy guy fans, but we hired them for our wedding welcome party and as always they brought the best gelato and our guests were raving about how good it was. Always worth stopping in for a cup, but even more fun to have them for your event!

Not sure what is up with people, but when we got to the Shy Guy Gelato store, there was a queue of about 15 people winding from the window counter of the store to the sidewalk. This was at 15 mins before their closing time on a Wednesday. We went in with high hopes looking at the reviews and of course the long line of Gelato lovers. Sadly, our hopes and expectations were met. The Gelato itself was meh. The quality was not even close to a standard run of the mill Ben and Jerry's ice cream. The quantity was less compared to the price. It think it is just an over hyped place. You can find lots of way better ice cream places in Vermont.

Phenomenal gelato! I love that they do small batch flavors that change on a daily basis. Some of my favorite flavors are hazelnut, black forest cake and peanut butter crunch. I also love that they now have a frequent buyer punch card (get a free small with every 9 purchases).

Best gelato in Vermont. Also, vegan ice cream/vegan gelato! Along with the amazing dairy gelato, there are always phenomenal flavors in the vegan versions. Paul has been dishing up gelato for years but on each of our annual visits are timing was off. Sometimes he had just sold out. This time we were able to get in and try it and returned day after day. This is the best gelato we've had. People were buying pints of it either to take home or to simply sit outside in the sun and enjoy. Everybody was happy and relaxed. It's dog friendly outside and the parking is right out front on the street. Paul takes great pride in what he dishes up as does his staff, you're always met with friendly faces!

I LOVE Paul and Shy Guy Gelato! I frequently hire Paul and his mobile gelato cart as a dessert option for my wedding planning clients, and it always becomes a big hit. His product is delicious and top quality, the flavors are unique and interesting often highlighting local, seasonal ingredients. Paul always provides smiley, friendly, professional service on-site and is an all around likable guy. The cart itself if SO cute and acts as an element of decor and is a fun, interactive option for your wedding or event. I'm looking forward to our next event, but in the meantime will visit his Burlington shop to pick up some pints to share with the fam! Thanks Paul!
