Celebrated my mother’s birthday dinner here. Not the quality of food and service I was expecting since we just recently had a lunch event in High Street Cafe at The Fort. Food selections were usually empty so you couldn’t tell what they were serving. A long queue at the grill station and pasta station. It took us more than 30 minutes to bill out, even if we have a Golden Circles member, a booked room in Makati Shangri-La, and a senior in a wheelchair. We expected a faster response considering all that I just mentioned. Not the Shangri-La experience we were expecting. Better go to their other hotels.

We celebrated my dad's 66th birthday here tonight. Really happy with the service (they even planned how to 'surprise' my dad without giving him a fright like other restaurants do) and the food at the buffet was great!

Since the pandemic, this place is now a sit-down buffet (except salads, Japanese food, and desserts) where you order your food from the wait staff who will bring you your food and drinks to the table.

Shangrila in Manila is well know for a good quality food and buffets. Prices are reasonable if you are looking for good quality meals. The desserts are just out of control good. Define ply visit this place over and over. Drinks could be pricy but totally worth it the visit to this place with your significant other, special ocasión or even a business meeting

Circle's buffet is an epitome of mediocrity in buffet dining here in the Philippines. There are better, and some cheaper alternatives. With the price, their drinks should be free-flowing - even the wine! Okada's Medley serves way more and costs just a little bit than Circle's. The staff were great though.

It is not bad but ordinary. if the price was like 700- 800, it will rank well with the likes of Yakimix and have value for money. However it sets its price on par with NU Vikings and other grand buffets when its offerings are few and are not even that special. Be careful with the drinks as well because they expect you not to see the extra pricetag associated with it hidden behind decors. Having such add-on menu items in the open can fool the most naive of kids wgo will grab it coz its basically juice (nestea ice tea mixes which they market as "Mocktails").

It's always our go to place when we can't decide what to eat.

AMBIENCE We had a relaxing family lunch and it was pretty roomy where we sat and when getting food. I noticed there were some tables, like ours, that felt a bit more private and peaceful. FOOD I'll do jots. Bread Pudding tasted like leche flan. Ice-cream flavors I liked were strawberry, matcha and definitely raspberry sorbet (most flavorful). Cookie was chunky. All cakes tried were interesting. One was milky and another had mango with mild sweetness. U.S. Striploin was cut into perfectly thin slices, service medium rare unless you request otherwise. Peppercorn sauce was a great partner! All Indian dishes were excellent, new to me, and very much worth the excitement since they're not common in my books. Mildy spicy. Breathing space! Cocktail shrimps and mussels were excellent with cocktail sauce, nice and cold, picked right off the ice they were mounted on. Tempura had thin batter, making me feel less guilty. Assorted Maki was on display but you CAN request for sashimi and they'll give you a plateful if you want. I had two salmon sashimi plates and felt really, really good! Smelled good, tasted even better! SERVICE Water refills were served fairly quickly and it's nice to know certain food can be delivered to your table. It's convenient and classy but we got 'em ourselves because the walking helped us have breaks.

Makati Shangrila's Circle is a great place to celebrate any occasion. Fresh food and seafood. It may not be as grand as other big buffet restos but the quality is really good.

During my first visit here, I had a great experience because they had assigned waiters at assigned areas and the food was plated fabulously like in fine dining.
