I had a great time on my wine tour in the Barossa. Kies was the first place and I have to admit the others did not meet up to the high standards at Kies. I have five stars ⭐️ because they really deserve it. The time was taken to explain the drinks and to share the history on how they were made. It’s a special place and I highly recommend them to anyone visiting. We all left with bottles of wine and very happy with the Christmas gifts we started buying from the goodies on the side.

Had a beautiful high tea, the atmosphere was great with live music. Food was tasty and nicely presented. The ambience was fantastic, and they came through with constant tea and wine refills. In my opinion, it's worth the money and a great afternoon.

This cellar door is well worth a stop when in the Barossa Valley. The wines are amazing, reasonably priced and the staff were knowledgeable and good fun. Found it hard not to buy everything we tasted. Recommend a meal also. The food was terrific and the views from the table topped it off perfectly. If you're looking for bulk tawny these guys have it. I've been adding Kies tawny to my barrel for 20 years.

We came to get our port barrel filled and ended up staying for lunch. A true family winery with true family values. Such friendly personalised service and great products will keep us coming back every time we visit the Barossa Valley. Excellent selection of ports and not just your ordinary platter but a beautiful gourmet selection.

Recently enjoyed wine tasting and a fabulous fish and chips lunch with 7 of my friends and family. The friendly staff of this family business made the experience extra special for we interstate travellers. Purchased a few bottles as well after a tour of the winery.

My friend and I booked a Winery Tour through a company called “A Wine Wagon”. Kies was the first winery we visited and it did not disappoint. Lily who was our host for our visit had a vast knowledge of the wines available for tasting. She was able to recommend the various wines and answer any questions that we had. Lily was very friendly and we enjoyed this experience. We would certainly recommend to others to have Kies Winery on their to do list. Thanks once again. Kind regards Pam Marks

On our first trip here 2 years ago a mate and I thought it was so good we brought a heap of friends back the other day. Such a friendly family run business that really love to treat you with tastings of their wines. We made a booking for a group of 10 months in advance and our settings were waiting for us. Allow 2+ hours for this tasting. They also offer a great delivery service.

Kies Winery...what a treasure! So refreshing to discover a family owned establishment that values their customers with great service in cellar door and the restaurant. The meal was delicious and the setting just beautiful. It was their Harvest Festival complete with grape stomping and live entertainment which enhanced our experience even more.

We recently visited Kies Family Wines from the NT. Honestly it was our second stop. It should have been our first stop. It was my hubby's first winery experience and we had the most beautiful time. A relaxing atmosphere, family and team were friendly and welcoming, definitely knowing "their stuff"! Tasting was exciting, the tour informative and fun. Meeting the wine make an added bonus. It added to the beautiful family vibe. The menu was extensive catering for a wide range of tastes. Dietary requirements were happily taken care. The team were very knowledgeable in this area which was very comforting. The platter was sensational. Deer Stalker shiraz has hit the NT and I will share a pic on our next outback picnic. Delivery was fast and uncomplicated. Thankyou guys, it was a great experience and one we will most certainly repeat and recommend. Jen and Darryl N.T.

Hubby and I attended the special Mothers Day event (Sat 13) where we were treated to the most beautiful High Tea at Kies Family Winery, Lyndoch. Held in their processing shed, the whole afternoon was a beautiful blend of fantastic local food, wines, tea, music, staff, - a perfect presentation and atmosphere of everything. Special thanks to Jesse Kies and her whole team. Everything was perfect - you all excelled making the event so lovely and special. Big shout out to local girl Ollie Sharp @OllieDoesMusic whose gorgeous voice, guitar and play list gelled with everything, making for a perfect afternoon celebrating Mothers Day.

Kies is an amazing winery to visit and also a producer of some of the best value wines anywhere in the World, never mind the Barossa Valley. It's a true family company using only their own grapes. Bronson Kies is the head winemaker and his passion about the quality of the wines shows through in every drop. All the staff obviously love the place and it shows in the smiles of everyone in the cellar door and the Monkey Nut Cafe It's been a while since we were last here and we'll definitely be back again. We've been customers of Kies for a few years and can't recommend them highly enough.

Our first trip to the Barossa and we were keen to see some of the smaller family run wineries and this one did not disappoint. You really get the family feel, it was great to learn the history and have a tour. All the staff were warm and friendly. Lunch was also delicious! Can recommend the pie. Thanks for having us! 😊

We visited 4 wineries on our day tour of the Barossa and Kies Family Wines was the stand out of the day! The interaction with staff made us feel so welcome and enthusiastic about the wine and winery. Lunch at the cafe was also delicious and fun. Highly recommend!!

We were welcomed for a group tasting without having a booking by a friendly, knowledgeable and engaging host. The wines were exceptional with a balanced variety catering for most palates. Attention paid to ensure each wine reaches full potential setting it apart from other wineries. Restaurant served great food, each dish tastefully presented and was delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Kies winery. We had a huge variety of wines to taste and the fortified wines were so good we bought them to take home. The staff were very friendly and chatty.

What an amazing experience at Kies Family Wines for their Tasting Australia event. The venue was perfect, the food was amazing and the service impeccable. We were lucky enough to sample some wine which is yet to be released, which was stunning, as well as delicious wine pairings with the food provided. It was also interesting to hear about the workings of the winery on our tour of the vineyard before lunch. The Kies Family is always very generous with their wine and their experiences in general, and this was no exception. We look forward to future Tasting Australia events at this wonderful winery.

We stopped here as a part of our mystery picnic. From the lady in the shop (I'm sorry I can't remember her name but she was heading to NZ at the end of February) who was so sweet and friendly to Lilly who took us through a tasting (or 5) - what an amazing hidden gem Kies Family Wines is. From the second we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The staff are incredibly friendly and such an asset. Bronson was also happy to chat technicalities with my husband and we got a tour of the winery too. We spend way too much time at Kies considering that we were on a deadline but it was so worth it. We will be back for lunch soon.

We traveled WA and SA and came across many wineries (Swan Valley, Margaret River and Barossa Valley) and Kies winery was definitely our fave! We went on a small tourbus and were allowed to take our dog. When we arrived at the winery they even welcomed our dog inside and was allowed on the tour around the property to see where all the lovely wines were made. They have been doing this for generations with love and passion and you can tell during your visit that this is what they love doing. Would definitely recommend visiting!

My wife and I had a great time visiting Kies Wines. The young girl that served us on the day was very knowledgeable with all of the wines & an absolute pleasure dealing with her. We’re from Melbourne & she even joined in with our group watching the Melbourne Cup during our wine tasting. Would highly recommend visiting here on your Barossa Valley tours.

I recently signed up for a Christmas wreath making experience at Kies Family Wines and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. We were very well looked after with the wine tasting and delicious platter. Thank you for the opportunity to make my first Christmas wreath which now proudly hangs on our front door.

Had the most wonderful time having a tasting with Sam ☺️ I loved the fortified and reds, the Stalked Deer Shiraz was amazing. Send to the monkey nut cafe after and had an incredible cheeseboard! Dog friendly as well ✅

Sam was such an amazing host! Very friendly and welcoming to both us and the two doggos. Really enjoyed our chat over wine tasting. We tasted the Reds and two of the fortifieds. My picks were the 'Dedication Shiraz' and the 'Chaff Mill Cab Sav'. Rest were just OK. *Hula hoop pics are just a fun theme for our wine tour*

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely, not so little, family owned winery. Sam and Jess were awesome hosts and took us through the wine production area too, lucky us!!! . The wine collection is impressive the 2L muscat is so darn yummmmmm. Quality wine along with a quality time. Thank you team KIES, please keep up the brilliant work.

This was a wonderful family winery, my extended family and I were made to feel extremely welcome, especially the kids with their own cordial in little kiddy wine glasses and the winery was very nicely set up with a beautiful outdoor area that allowed the kids to play outside whilst we tasted the incredible wine!! Jesse was a lovely host and I could not more highly recommend putting this location on your bucket list!! :-) Get to the Barossa and experience this authentic and traditional winery that demonstrates one of the few remaining that take you back in time multiple generations!

I visited Kies Family Wines at the end of June with my sister and two girlfriends on a girls trip to the Barossa. Kies was the first place we stopped at and we had the wonderful Sam take us through a taste testing. After spending a few days in the Barossa and trying multiple wines, the Deer Stalker Shiraz from Kies is still my number one favourite. I brought two when I was visiting and tragically dropped one bottle and the next vintage is not set to be released until September...so I am counting down the days! Two other wines I very much enjoyed were the Cheers to You sparkling cab and the Spring Rose Merlot. Both excellent choices. Cant wait to visit again, all the staff were amazing, so willing to help with suggestions and very knowledgeable.
