Highly recommend people to live in the hostel!!! Considerable and friendly staff with smooth English speaking ability makes backpackers comfortable just like living at home. Moreover, I have to say, as one of backpacker hostels, rooms here are definitely the largest and cleanest I have ever met! Anyway, just come and enjoy. Never let you down here.

This small, cozy, clean, and quiet guesthouse is a quick walk from the train station with many shops and eateries closeby. I loved staying here, as the hosts were very friendly and helpful, and all the facilities that I needed were abailable, including kitchen, laundry, and travel information. A perfect place for a few nights of rest in Hualien.

Very accommodating host. The room and common areas are clean. Bed's comfy equipped with curtains. Rent a towel for 20 TWD.

Simply the cleanest and most-organized hostel I’ve ever stayed during my entire Asia trip. The owner, Kera, is accommodating and warm. Made my stay in Hualien extra special! Will never hesitate to come back here whenever I visit Hualien again. It is worth noting that they use environmental-friendly products (shampoo and bath soap) + sells handmade products too 🍀♥️ if ever you find yourself in hualien for the taroko gorge, go here. I had an amazing stay.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Damon (the housekeeper) is wonderful, he is helpful, knowledgeable and very very friendly. He shared a lot of traveling tips with me and a lot of nice food around the hotel, which all these truly enriched my trip to hualien. The hotel is clean and cozy, everyone of us have our own small locker to keep our valuable stuffs, which is very much appreciated. The hotel also has a family vibes, which is quite cool. Will will definitely come back if I visit hualien again. Thanks Damon, thanks team for making my time in hualien a truly memorable ones.

Nice clean place. Dorm bed has curtains and charging port. The owner was very kind and even lent me her scooter for the afternoon since she wasn't using it.

I had a very nice stay here. My dorm room was spacious and had a great shower. I appreciate the curtains on the beds. The staff were very welcoming too and made me feel at home. Waking distance from the train station. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hostel!

It's about 10 mins walk from the train station, which makes it very easy to arrive or head to your next destination. Amenities wise, this has got to be the best dormitory I have stayed in Taiwan so far. Spacious room for 6, there is a place for table, and for large bags. Instead of a double decker bed, each bed is a built in feature so that the top occupant doesn't quite disturb the bottom occupant. Each bed comes with a privacy curtain, and has this small hole in the wall which includes international plug, and to store your small items when you sleep. Of course a lamp is included. What I like is the friendliness of the staff here. They make it feel that you are a Friend visiting and keen to have you again. I left quite hurriedly but I wished I could have stayed longer and have a chat with them. Definitely worth staying here again when I return back to Hualien!

Stayed 1 night and it was great. People are super nice, got everything you need and it’s clean!

A really great and friendly hostel. It is around 10 mins walk from the train station and 20-30 mins walk to central area and night market. The room is pretty spacious and each bed has its own curtain, every one has its own small locker and each room has a bathroom. Free toast and jam are provided. The hosts are the main reason for making it a perfect stay. They are really welcoming and make you feel like home. There are also information written by hosts and travellers on their secret recommendation in hualien and I like chatting with people in the lobby.

Lovely stay in this cute and quirky hostel with a very friendly and informative host (Kara) and spacious rooms all fitted with an ensuite bathroom. The hostel promotes eco-friendly values and is in a great location - only ten minutes from the station and 25 mins from the beach and night market.

If you want to enjoy Taiwanese gracious hospitality, Bayhouse is a good option because their staff is welcoming to travellers all over the world. There are different rooms for different travellers, such as backpackers, couples, or a group of friends. There are so many scrumptious food nearby. If you have no ideas what to eat, housekeepers can give you excellent suggestions. The location is very convenient as it is close to Hualien train station and bus station. The most important point is the price is reasonable.

Amazing eco-friendly, youth hostel with the best staff!! We were a family of 3, the staff/managers greeted us warmly everytime we entered and helped us with our needs. The hostel implemented many cute initiatives e.g. Recycling corners, self-service first-aid/Healthcare supplies corner, charity shop(up to you to pay), fruit compost, postcard writing service (proceed goes to support local businesses/farmers) and even provided a central I Mac for use. Loved this hostel. Will definitely stay again! Only 7 mins walk to hualien train station, scooter rentals available near the station at 100-200NTD, distance to night market was not an issue at all (we were happy to walk 25 mins and sitesee anyway). Thank you for the amazing stay ☺️ - 1 mth later, my friend received the postcard that the staff helped me sent 👍🏻

Bayhouse was a really comfortable stay for my friend and I! The room was well decorated and very cosy. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture but there was a cute little sitting area in the room with beanbags and decorative grass. Both the room & the toilet were large as well. The hosts were also welcoming and warm. Overall, superb!

Just a short walk from the railway station makes this hostel a convenient choice. The double room with private bathroom is very spacious and convenient. Everything was spotless clean. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. You can use the kitchen if you wish to make a simple meal. More likely you will buy some taste food from one of the many food stalls or restaurants nearby. The hostel is a good base for visits to Taroko National Park and other places. Just take the bus from the nearby railway station. The planes and trains can be noisy, also during the very early morning, so don't forget your ear plugs.

Excellent hostel with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staffs. I was really worn out after 3 days camping at the music festival and needed a good place to stay over night. Bayhouse was the good one for me. And the staff was being very helpful with everything too. Thank you. If I go travel to Hualien again, Bayhouse would still be my best choice!
