Revisit after pandemic, longing for authentic flavor of their 100years traditional noodle . No wonder the business is so good. Many side dishes , my fave : cold okra with sesame sauce , braised duck egg, steam taro cake . Quite fast service . They put the noodle stall as a show you can enjoy while dine in

(Translated by Google) The stuff is expensive and the quantity is small. The price is more expensive than Taipei. It is extremely ridiculous. There are only two noodles and only a few slices of large intestine. It costs 165. It's too much to grab tourists' money. I suggest you don't go.

For anyone visiting Tainan, must try. Their Danzai Noodles, braised pork over rice, deep fry tofu and the fish. Special shout out to their deep fry tofu. It was just too good. Perfectly crisp on the outside and pudding like in the inside and the sauce which comes with was a perfect compliment.

Du Hsiao Yueh, originally from Tainan and famous for their traditional Tainan noodles (Danzai Noodles), is definitely a must try for their food, price and a more pleasant setting that is in stark contrast to the more local establishments elsewhere. Danzai Noodles (TWD 50) Probably the dish most people come here for, it’s a noodle dish using egg noodles, an umami prawn broth, braised minced pork on top and a single prawn. The pork has a bit of spice and you can opt out of cilantro and garlic if you do not like them. This is definitely a must try, the serving is small enough for everyone to have one! Deep-fried Shrimp Roll (TWD 180) It’s not stated in the English naming, but it’s actually a signature dish and I would recommend getting it as a side dish! It’s perfectly crispy with lots of prawn alongside some vegetables to fill. Roasted Milk-fish Stomach (TWD 180) In case you’re wondering, no it’s not the internal organ but the flesh that resides around the stomach portion of the fish. The fish is very tender and is tasty enough to eat without any additional seasonings. With the plum powder, it gives it an extra kick and savouriness, reminiscent of night market street food. It also takes 10-15 minutes to grill this fish so it will come after the rest of the dishes are served.

Nov 14th, 2023 at 2:30 PM The food is great, taste sweet for us but we can add pepper and chili flakes. The portion is small, each of us eat 2 bowls. There is no waiting line.

(Translated by Google) The meal is OK, but obviously there are a lot of vacancies on the 2F, and you have to order food at the door & wait for a long time, don’t understand the store’s intentions? While the clerk was washing dishes on the 2F dining, the impression was very poor. Suggest improvement!

A famous Taiwanese restaurant features pork shrimp noodle and pork stewed pork rice. Each dishes are half or smaller size so that you should order and enjoy 2 or 3 different dishes for full size dinner. Each dishes cost about 50 to 100 NTD. Delicious!

(Translated by Google) Lined up at the door, the second floor is empty, starving marketing Clean and tidy environment, good air-conditioned music service Danzi noodles are ordinary, with less noodles and less bean sprouts. I heard that the broth is the essence, but the soup with minced pork should not be used! ? The shrimp meat is soft and tasteless, Lu duck eggs are ordinary, Jinxian duck eggs are more delicious, mainly the marinade formula, it can be regarded as a one-time sightseeing consumption~ (Original)

Good noodle restaurant. Portion is small so I recommend to order other dishes together with noodle. Pork rice and sausage tastes also good.

  • 4/5 Kuei-Da L. 1 year ago on Google
It was really exciting to see that they still kept using the stand to make the noodles, which was supposed to be the original way when they first started. However, the waiting time could also be long because of this fashion. The flavor was good! Remember to ask them for extra soup if you feel it’s a bit salty.

Food was good, we got it reasonnably fast and the staff was very nice and could speak english. They also had menu in english. I recommend the fried shrimp rolls, there's only one left on my photos because I ate everything else before thinking about it ^^

Good food. The restaurant is clearly under staffed. The noodle chef has to make noodle, work as a waiter and busboy at the same time. It took less than 3 minutes to make a bowl of noodle but will take more than 20 minutes to serve to the table. The owner needs to hire more employees to meet its standard.

Delicious noodles from an old shop. Being over 100 yrs old the taste is refined and it shows. Some of the best noodles I've ever had are in this shop. At lunch time there can be a wait of around 20 min or so. It's well worth it however. When you order the noodles, make sure to get a couple duck eggs with it too.

Their restaurants date back to 1895 and they have a few branches that you can check out in the area. Signature dishes: • Braised pork rice- looks deceptively small, amount of pork was quite little • Danzai Noodles- loads of beansprouts underneath, wished there was more soup • Marble soda- super cute • Fried big intestines- thin crisp layer on the outside

If you are foreigners or outsiders and happen come to Tainan , then you may try the very first nostalgic shoulder pole noodles of Passing through the humble months in earlier ages. Nowadays, too much so called modern artificial creative decorations, somehow , simply lost the nostalgia flair . Sorry , no offensive mind to this lovely old vendor . Personally, I prefer trying street vendors or night markets to enjoy the very down to the earth goodies & foodies

(Translated by Google) In the afternoon, the clerk seemed to not want to do business and had a bad attitude. There were seats on the second floor and they were unwilling to open up (only three tables on the first floor are in hello). I gave us an order without saying that the dishes are gone. I ordered 10 and 5 of them were gone.

You would think every one of these noodle places in Taiwan would taste the same. But you would be wrong. There is defintely a history behind this place where the recipe was refined over generations.

3 years ago on Google
This place is really good, they tried to preserve the old tradition by showing how to cook the noodle, the noodle is chewy and served with broth, the broth has sweet and umami taste. The portion is quite small, in here people may eat many bowls of noodles and they will stack the bowls on the table.

  • 5/5 Jessie L. 3 years ago on Google
Very tasty soup noodles. The fried shrimp roll is impressive and worthy to try. However, it’s a little pricy compared to Taiwanese living standard. In the meanwhile, you might need to order two portions of noodles if you are an adult.

(Translated by Google) Lived in Tainan for 40 years, I only came to eat with friends once in middle school. Today I want to revisit the old place, Really don't push...😞 The whole shop is in a sightseeing style, In fact, as long as it is delicious, price is not the point... It's a pity that the soup and the side dishes are different... The shrimp on the noodles smells like chemicals... Shrimp rolls are the kind of fried sweet potato powder. The first floor of the store is half full, so it shouldn’t be too busy. But the meals are not delivered... Tourists can try it... But it's still delicious before Hong Taro... (Received shop) Two stars are given because of the bonus of Tainanese...
