Tainan hotel is conveniently located right across train station. It’s a 2 star hotel, but it priced high. The hotel didn’t look like what’s showing on its website. It was shady and outdated. The carpet was old and smelly. I booked for two days, couldn’t stand the condition and requested to check out 1 day earlier. They refused to refund me. I won’t stay here again and won’t recommend it to anyone wants a comfortable stay.

I was excited about returning to one of the longest standing hotel in Tainan. The room is spacious, but musky and dated. Hotel is centrally located. Checked in at 1230 am, plan to check out at 8 am. Requested couple of extra bath towels, but hassled by the male staff about needing to pay additional fees since amenities for my children are extra. I paid over $400 USD for the 8 hr stay due to the holiday. I was in shock that I was being nickle-and-dime when asking for 2 additional bath towels at the most prestigious hotel in Tainan. Very disappointed with our experience. Pretty sure this hotel will fold and won't stand much more test of time. Definitely won't be coming back.

Hotel rooms was very dated and dimly lited. Surfaces was quite dirty and sticky. Find other locations.

A reasonable hotel in a convenient location when arriving by train. From the “Tainan Train Station Front Station,” it was about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The room we were given was alright, though it felt a bit dated with its carpet and shower curtain. Also, I typically like a relatively firm mattress but even I found the bed here to be much too firm. The reception staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with at check-in, and also when we needed to store our luggage after check-out - one gentleman even offered us bottled water after we’d checked out since he knew we were planning to go walk outside for a bit in the heat.

A really old hotel. Clean and well maintained, but the facilities show their age. There was some strange smell in the room, so we tried to open the windows to air it out, but they wouldn't open. My mom slept poorly because she felt cold draught throughout the night, even though the windows were tightly shut, and we had the heat on. I really like the breakfast buffet, no, feast, with all kinds of Asian and Western dishes as well as dessert to choose from, putting many of the expensive 5 star hotel buffet in Taipei to shame.

The hotel's location is nice, very near to the train station. Although it is in the hustling and bustling area downtown, it is quite quiet inside. Yet it is expensive due to its convenience. The buffet restaurant on the ground floor is great, terrific for group dining or meal gathering. It is good for business trip to Tainan!

Great location, just 3 mins walk from Tainan train station. Close proximity to shopping and sightseeing spots.

Honestly embarrassing. The room are decorated with most ugly pissed-coloured carpet. The furnitures are probably the same used when Chiang Kai Shek fled China in 1949. The room offer little to non amenities, which includes one tea bag and one instant coffee. All for the simple price of 5000nt a night. Ah, an they do not include breakfast. Avoid this place.

Great location close to bus terminal. Breakfast and dinner buffets are amazing! Room is decently sized, but outdated and worn. AC settings were locked so you couldn’t make the room very cool, but we borrowed a floor fan from reception that helped. Bell hop/concierge staff were terrific. Front desk staff, however, were more unfriendly. Very inflexible about check-in time. We arrived 30 minutes early and had to wait even though the room was ready. Would only come back for the restaurant.

Room was very clean and large. Bed comfortable. Even though the room was near the elevator and the hotel was located in a busy area near the train station and shopping district, we didn't hear a thing at night. Breakfast had a good selection. Hotel front desk was very personable, efficient and accommodating. On a personal note, the first time I stayed here was many years ago when I was seven. It was my first visit to Taiwan. I don't remember anything else on that trip except that we stayed at Tainan Hotel. No idea what it was about this hotel that was so memorable to a seven-year old. Being able to come back and stay here again as an adult felt nostalgic. This is my go-to hotel if I visit Tainan again.

Excellent stay with a great price. All the staff was super nice and provided free parking. Beds are great. The hotel has been around for a while but can see it’s been doing it’s best to keep it up to date

Service was alright, the hotel receptionist was able to speak English fluently. I love that the room comes with a seat bidet, it's very clean but aesthetic wise, a little old looking. Check-in can only be done at 4pm, that was a bummer.

Good location that is near to the Tainan railway. Round the corner of the hotel, there are bus stops which is quite convenient too.

Very old hotel but the room is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. This place very convenient. Near train station, family mart and 7-11 within walking distance. The breakfast is like hotel buffet style but not to my liking. The food quite oily for me.

Although the equipment looks a bit old, it has all the necessary things you need, and the service provided is extremely good. It would be even better if the missing food could be replenished as soon as possible during breakfast.

It's an older building and the entrance looks recently renovated. The room I stayed in had two double beds and was older looking and also had an older hotel smell. Room service is wonderful though and you can even schedule when they come to your room which I found really helpful. Their morning buffet is amazing too.

Stayed here for a business trip. It serves its purpose well if you just want a B&B. Nothing too posh or modern; bed is a bit on the hard side. The breakfast buffet is varied and has the local food specialties which is good if you want to try the local flavours. Very near the train station which makes it convenient.

It was my favourite hotel in Tainan until fleas bit me at night in my last stay. Super itchy, and the hotel staff quickly changed rooms for me.

The food is very delicious and convenient for both local and forginer as a forginer I can suggest this hotel to have a delicious food and services are too good .

It is located near to Tainan Station and near to Tainan Park. Hotel and room were a bit old but clean. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful, especially waitresses in the restaurant during breakfast. Good and tasty breakfast choices. There were Tainan specialties as well like beef soup (清烫牛肉汤) and braised minced pork rice (肉燥饭).

Oldest star hotel in Tainan with swimming pool. Located right infront of Tainan railway station had been the center for social events for the past 50 years. Due to the lack of land space, parking lot was located in another building right opposite to the hotel.

Ohhh my🤤🤤 I really love their foods.
