    Not bad but can be better, the sauce control of the eel rice was just average can be much more better and the yakitori was just average too. But the front door reception was very good and helpful!

    Tiny hidden Japanese izakaya in the back alley of Tainan. Can be difficult to find, but definitely worth it. All items were well seasoned and flavored. Eel rice was a must have. Also be sure to order variety of skewers, all very good.

    Nice small restaurant tug in the corner. The eel is not too bad. They use live eel and charcoal grill. It think it is just better than frozen eel but way to go for live eel. It is a bit chewy and the gravy need to improve. Overall the atmosphere is better than the food.

    The wait for the unagi was long ,but it was worth the wait.The unagi was extremely delicious, grilled to perfection and pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food and level of service. Comes with edamame, hot tea and unagi bone soup! Would strongly recommend and don't give up until you find it as it's really tucked in a small lane, good luck!

    Great all round food from unagi to tempura to sushi. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner despite the tiny space. Would come back again when we return to Tainan 👍

    Absolutely delicious unagi, we order both styles, and I have to say I like the plain grilled eel more than the one with sauce. Not to say the one with sauce is not good, it was absolutely phenomenal, but the plain one stood out a bit more with its charcoal grilled flavor plus the freshness of the fish with light seasoning, it was just the perfect combination. Also got some shrimp tempuras, the battering and frying job are definitely five star, could compete with the best in Japan. 5/5, highly recommended

    Excellent eel rice. The sauce just perfect not too much, can taste the original of the eel not overwhelming by the sauce. Eel liver was nice preparation. Can taste the freshness. Definitely will be back again .
