It is msg soup. They are very generous with the amount of seafood in there. But it is difficult to eat and finish because it isn’t delicate and you can taste the msg in every mouthful. I think they got their ratings due to the generosity of ingredients. The worst of it is that they make the bowls in front of you. And I saw them putting so much powder into it. It is sad.

Seafood congee was light and refreshing. Fulled with loads of seafood. Would recommend to share between 2 people as 1 each can be pretty filling

Down a small alley in a market. The porridge restaurant draws crowds so be prepared to wait for a seat, however the food is absolutely worth the wait. Incredible amount of seafood and the fried fish is to die for. Will definitely visit again

The laoban is so nice and kind. The tea stall is the traditional one, but the taste is very fresh. Big glass of green tea and black tea were only 20 dollars each. We can order the sugar and ice bSed on our preferences. Always come yo this tea stall

My last day in Tainan 🥹 sadly. Chose this store as my last stop for dinner. Absolute gem! Went around 530pm and luckily there wasn’t a queue 😂 got in immediately and there were actually quite a lot of empty places, so it was a very comfortable and relax dinner! Sooooooo much seafood inside. It’s a MUST EAT when you’re in Tainan! Price of 230 for a bowl is SO REASONABLE! and seafood are all so fresh! Yes, I drank and ate up everything in that bowl 😌 ILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! The cucumber dish I had as a side was so goood as well! I don’t know how such a simple dish can taste so nice 😭 I’ll be back Tainan ❤️

the best seafood I have thus far in Taiwan trip. seafood galore and u can taste the umamy. we were there around 5pm Sunday and the queue is shorter. however, quite many dishes were sold out. definitely recommended for seafood lovers happen to be in Taiwan.

The fried fish jaw is awesome, from the Lu fish, lots of meat. The seafood porridge was also value for money, in gredients like prawns,squids, scallops,small oysters made the soup very delicious.must go again
