Every time I go back to my hometown in the south of Taiwan, I eat a bowl of Nabeyaki egg noodles in Tainan. The reason is that it is difficult to eat such tasty Nabeyaki egg noodles in other places. There are a lot of good Nabeyaki egg noodles restaurants in Tainan. It is one of my favorite. First of all, there is a lot of food in the Nabeyaki egg noodles. Secondly, the soup is fabulous. If you have a chance at Tainan, you could give this restaurant a try. The disadvantage is that you might need to wait in line to enjoy the savor food.

New place same people same food. Simply amazing. Amazing food, the noodles are fantastic, inimitable. People are friendly and the new location is really convenient. Can easily park the car in the near parking places. Perfect for a dinner with family or friends.

Amazing place with amazing service. Very professional and friendly waiter-owner. Food was very tasty, especially thin noodles. Very fast served. Price for food is very fair. Highly recommend this place.

Noodles are great and also the soup temperature is hot hot hot, perfect soup temperature, so drink slowly to avoid getting burned. Soup Quality did not change over the last 40 years. Other items are ok.

The 鍋燒意麵 was very tasty and delicious. The noodle was not marshy and the soup came with fish cake, fried fish and prawn. We also ordered cabbage as a side, and it was not too heavily seasoned which was good. The iced red tea still has a strong tea flavour. Gave 3 stars for service and atmosphere because its quite the standard. But give the noodle a try if you are nearby!

The noodle and soup were delicious, however, I found it weird to put the fried prawn and fish in the soup to soak it until so soft. The veggie had a strange taste. Overall, you can try it, I think it should be good choice for that area.

Came across this random place on my first night in Tainan which was also Christmas day. I was apprehensive whether the owner would accept our group of 9 people 10 minutes before closing time but he warmly welcomed us and proudly told us about the shop's 60 years history. The noodles were warm and comforting. Food for the soul. Yet another encounter with the warm hearted Taiwanese!

I’ve had yee mee before & I’ve had udon before —> this is like a fusion of both dishes. The hot piping noodles topped with fried fish & prawn fritters and a runny egg serves its purpose as a comforting bowl of noodle soup. Just in case you wonder which part of this dish is udon-ish, it’s the soup base - I’m not sure but it taste like dashi stock derived. I wouldn’t say I love it bcos it’s afterall a novel dish for me, but I definitely would have it again.

Good seats and tasty noodle! This shop near to Chikan Tower is a famous nabeyaki noodle shop here, without any other branch! Their price is more expensive to others in Tainan, but the flavor is indeed traditional and savory as always. It is recommended to sit in and try their best noodle when you travel around Chikan Tower.

This is definitely a must try in Tainan! The owner was very kind and introduced us to their menu and their store.

Best seafood porridge in Tainan! The oysters taste like they were just pulled from the ocean. We’ve eaten here three times and always ordered the same dish. It’s perfection. (Bathrooms are also huge and clean :)

This was a random shop we chanced upon as we wanted to have our dinner. Great hospitality as the auntie thought we didn't understand Chinese at first and was trying to help us with the menu! All of us had the 酸辣湯 (spicy and sour soup) with different mains such as with rice, with vermicelli and with glass noodles. We order their top recommendations - red tea, boiled cuttlefish and dumplings. On top of that we had the 小菜 (appetizers). YUMMY YUMMY YUMMYYYYYYYYY FOOD! 😍😍😍😍😍

很好吃~ Friendly and engaging staff and tasty food. Did not like the initial sweet flavour of the broth but it quickly grew on me.
