Famous traditional local snacks in Tainan. The Beh Teung Guai, sweet potato balls and fried taro cake were awesome(and cheap)! Beh Teung Guai is my favorite one. Crispy outside and soft inside. It was covered with crunchy sugar. How beautiful the taste was! The stands always in long line but it's worth it, no doubt.

Taiwan's traditional snacks, and they are very cheap! Personally, I highly recommend stuffed sweet potato, which is a taste that I have never eaten before, and the sweetness of sweet potatoes is released in my mouth as soon as I bite it. Beh Teung Guai tastes completely different from that in the north of Taiwan. The filling is fluid rather than solid. You can choose any 3 for only NT$30, which is really suitable for eating while taking a stroll!

Local Tainan crispy sweeties surely worth a visit. Suggestion is to try out and order each of the offering from the stall to ensure you won’t regret missing any of them in your trip. Great local staff atmosphere too :)

This was a total surprise. Doesn't look like much. Just some ordinary looking sort of fried fritter. But once you pop one into the mouth, you just can't stop. The sweet potatoe balls are even more amazing. Little balls of surpise, oozing with gooey lava of sweetness.

    Sugar alert! 😉 Traditional snack in town~ 30ntd and you got 3pcs as 1-set (a pack). Taste ☆☆☆☆☆ Portion ☆☆☆☆☆ Worth for price ☆☆☆☆☆ Staff ☆☆☆ Ambient/cleanliness ☆☆

Honestly, I’m not a fan of sweet foods. But I do recommend you to try this if you are visiting Tainan or you have a sweet tooth. :) The Bai Tang Gao tastes like a fried mochi coated with sugar to me, the skin is crisply thin, and surprisingly it’s not overly overly sweet. In contrast with the Bai Tang Gao, fried sweet potato is on the sweeter and richer side. However, the fried Taro cake is oilier and harder on the outer part, tasted quite bland at the inner part.

So cheap and yet so delicious! Only $30 for three. The white sugar cake taste like mochi inside and have crispy and sweet coating. Be careful! It’s hot!

It's a street food stall and I much prefer the white 1 over the potato version . It wasn't as sweet as I thought . Yam 1 was sold out so didn't get to taste it.

Three for $30, great deal. Absolutely LOVED the beh teung guai (白糖粿), tastes like fried mochi rolled in sugar!

Yummy traditional sweets. The stand is always in long line, especially during the weekend. But it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

The quality of the food seems not too stable, sometimes is so good sometimes is so oily🤦🏻‍♂️

I think no one could say no to the lava like sweet potato paste in “Han Chi pon”. Yum yum. Though the white “Bay tern gui” is a bit too sticky to me.
