You can find local products and unique Tainanese delicacies in this morning market located in front of the chinese temple. Good to explore the market and find out more about their cultures.

The vegetables are pricey. I only bought spinach, sprouts, and 10 eggs, and I needed to pay 220 NTD. Ridiculous. How come the prices at a traditional market are equals to PX Mart? At least Px Mart is much more convenient. Other traditional markets offer reasonable prices than this place.

The traditional ways of the original cafes is why I am in Tainan. I’m sorry I do not know the name of this one in the market but it’s next to the scooter parking . Been there “forever”. Gentle same same foods for more than a generation. A blessing to be part of the flowing gentle energy. Simple blessed traditional noodles. Sesame cold noodles is their speciality. I seek these beautiful places out over the modern tourist places around Taiwan. Fortunately Tainan traditional food is abundant.

A nice place for taking photo, food and market, people lifestyle. Actually it was look mess but actually it is not, and it was clean which is not expected. I don’t know about the market price, therefore I could not say they are cheap or good value. But for sure the pricing are not expensive for travellers. Not easy to find a car park because the road are very crowded.

One of the oldest wet markets in Tainan and one of the ones that have a lively prepared foods scene all around it. This whole area is a great place to walk around - just make sure you come between 10am and noon, when it's the liveliest.
