3月13號，是台南的「正義與勇氣紀念日」，也是台南守護神－ 湯德章律師逝世紀念日。 繞著湯德章紀念公園一圈，邊走邊想像著在當時的氛圍，對於 湯德章律師有滿滿的哀愁與敬佩，哀的是這麼好的一位律師就這樣被套上莫無需有的罪名；敬佩的是被處以不當刑求中還能神色自若。 如果把正對紀念碑的中正路改成德章大道或是德章路是不是一種轉型正義呢？也更能符合設置正義與勇氣紀念日的意義。

湯德章父親為日人坂井德藏、母親為原住民湯玉，父親任警察時參與鎮壓台人余清芳西來庵事件而死，湯於父死後改從母姓，後至日本留學學習法律，光復後被同為留學日本的陳儀所賞識，出任台灣省公務員訓練所所長及台南市南區區長。二二八時被認定為叛亂與日諜而遭槍斃，經白崇禧將其案移送至台灣高等法院後改判無罪。 從歷史可知獨派不僅不紀念正港台人余清芳，不紀念重用湯的陳儀與平反湯的白崇禧，而為了製造假歷史來欺騙台灣百姓的行徑是有多麼可笑矛盾了

一個市中心的圓環，不只是圓環，還是台南市古蹟名勝集中的區域，圓環旁有日治時期望火樓、台南州廳，數步路遙，有孔廟園區、武德廟、台南警署等等⋯⋯
