Dehua Hall was built around 1838 AD. It has experienced the construction of roads during the Japanese colonial period and the air raids of World War II. Its current scale is different from that of the past. The first entrance and the left and right guard rooms have disappeared, leaving only the current part. Dehuatang belongs to the Longhua sect of Zhaiism and has the characteristics of a layman. Therefore, the space is the same as that of a traditional house, but the interior space also has the paintings and decorations that would be found in a Buddhist temple. In addition to worshiping Guanyin Bodhisattva, the main hall also has special features. The statue is the statue of Luo Zu, the founder of the Longhua sect, and three chairs are placed in front of the statue, called Sangong chairs, symbolizing the three founders of the Longhua sect, Luo Zu, Yin Puneng, and Yao Pushan. Pan Lishui is also found in the hall. The master's mural works, the ancient plaques in the hall are named "Huipu Qunsheng" dedicated by Ding Yuejian, who was "inspecting Taiwan's military preparations according to the title of inspector, in the fifth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1866 AD)" and the "Huipu Qun Sheng" in the seventh year of Daoguang reign (1827 AD). "Avalokitesvara" is more famous, and in addition to the precious scrolls on teaching inner scriptures and repentance, there are also "Three Refuges and Five Precepts Tablets" and "Guardian's List", which are the treasures of Dehua Hall.

Dehua Hall is a third-level historic site. It belongs to the Longhua sect of Zhaijiao and is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. There are two murals on both sides of the main hall, which are the works of Pan Lishui.

Well maintained monuments, If it were not for the literary and historical data, I really didn’t expect it to be a historical site. And it's just on the roadside, It was so easy to pass by and ignore it, I said it was me...... I've passed by it several times before. I missed it without realizing it was a historical site. It feels very peaceful, Go in and take a walk, Just take a few photos and go, Because someone is inside, Don't bother me too much. It must be because the space is very peaceful. The space is not big, so you can walk through it in one go. You can take a look when passing by, or arrange a few more stops. If you only visit this attraction specifically, you may feel a little disappointed. .

I just happened to be riding through the ancient ruins I discovered. There are many similar ancient buildings in Tainan City. You can find it on the roadside or in alleys. It is mainly dedicated to Guanyin Buddha and can be visited inside.

It’s a rare opportunity to walk on the streets of Tainan city during the day. I was originally going to walk from the station to the Confucius Temple and the Second South America Pavilion, but I accidentally walked in the wrong direction and walked to the Magong Temple. We had to walk along the market directly to the Confucius Temple. By an unexpected mistake, we passed the Yanping Prince Temple and this time the Dehua Hall. You will notice Dehua Hall because the stone wall outside and the standing stone monument attract your attention. When you first notice the appearance of the building, you feel that it looks like an ancestral hall or a house left by people in ancient times. I have seen the standing stone monument. The introduction makes it appear that this is a religious place and even a historic site. The introduction said that it is a place belonging to Longhua Zhaijiao, where Guanyin Bodhisattva is enshrined, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is enshrined in the small building next to it, and there are also artistic statues of Sakyamuni Buddha on both sides of the atrium, which is very interesting. I saw many people walking around and talking inside, and it felt like a space for neighbors to communicate.

It is a designated historic site by a municipality directly under the Central Government of the Republic of China. This Zhaitang belongs to the Longhua Sect Hanyang Hall and is the missionary center of the Longhua Sect Zhaitang in southern Taiwan~~~ It is a good place for Burmese gardenia and desert roses to bloom.

Small but beautiful historical building. Traces of history can be seen everywhere⋯ From a personal religious point of view, this temple feels a bit peaceful...

(Translated by Google) Thirty years of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1765), Longhua sent Zhai friends to Anping to preach and establish Huashan Hall. In the nineteenth year of Jiaqing (1814), the disciple Huang Chou raised funds and built Deshan Hall in Taiwan's capital city. After the believers became public, it was only in the fourteenth year of Daoguang (1834) that Xie Pujue and four other friends raised funds to build the Dehua Church at the present site, which was completed in eighteen years (1838). In the twenty-seventh year of Guangxu (1834), directors Wu Zizhou and Chen Puran advocated repairs. After entering the period of Japanese rule, Dehuatang joined the Cao Dongzong of Japanese Buddhism like many other monasteries in Taiwan. It was repaired in the thirty-four years of Meiji (1910). In the 7th year of the Taisho era (1765), Deshan Hall was demolished due to the opening of a new road, and then merged into Dehua Hall. Five years later, Dehua Hall also demolished the first entry part because it opened a section of Fuqian Road today, and moved the concave head door to Zhongjin. pavilion. During World War II, Dehua Hall was also affected by US air strikes and its left and right guard rooms were blown up. In the thirty-nine years of the Republic of China (1950), it was rebuilt by Hong Chi and Lu Shize, and then rebuilt in fifty-six years (1967). In the eighty-sixth year of the Republic of China (1997), it was repaired again due to disrepair, and it was completed three years later (2000).
