First time here. At first, it looked small. I thought it was nothing. After going inside to worship~ Only then did I discover😱It turns out that this is the origin of salt water bee cannons~The little girl is really blind and blind~It’s so amazing⋯⋯ The scenes that I only see on the news every time appear in front of my eyes~ In addition to the front hall...it turns out that there is a larger Jade Emperor Hall at the back~ If you look carefully, you will find traces of history. Every place is carefully crafted. It is very Taiwanese. According to the inscription on the Yanshui Temple, it was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and renovated during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was listed as a third-level historic site in Taiwan Province in 1987 and is a Fujian-style building at Sanchuan Gate. Now it is the center of religious belief and folk culture in Yanyan, and the Yanyan Bee Cracker has become one of the three major carnivals in the world. If you come to Yanshui Wu Temple, remember to learn about the history. You will find that this place is very worth visiting.

It’s a fight The Shuishui Beacon Cannon is located in Yanshui District, Tainan City, and is hosted by the Shuishui Martial Arts Temple. The so-called beacon cannon refers to a large fort made up of many sky cannons (like a multiple rocket launcher combination). When ignited, thousands of cannons will fire in unison, making a sound. "Bee Cannon". The Shuishui Beacon Cannon enjoys the reputation of "North Sky Lantern and South Beacon Cannon". It is a unique traditional folk activity in Taiwan. In 2013, it was selected into the "Taiwan's 100 Religious Scenic Spots" by the Ministry of the Interior of Taiwan, and was selected by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation in 2015. To the 2019 "Taiwan Tourism Calendar" "Taiwan Lantern Festival - Salt Water Beacon Cannon" international folk activities, fully demonstrates the local and international nature of the beacon cannon experience culture. Setting off beecrackers has its own folk connotations. The plowing and cannon-picking ceremony is a sacred belief that cannot be erased. The firecrackers released should be dedicated to the gods in the palanquin, rather than being used for entertainment by the common people. angle to enjoy the baptism of fire.

The Yuegang Martial Arts Temple, a Grade III historic site, is the birthplace of the Yanshui Bee Cannon. In addition to visiting the temple to worship, there are 3D paintings of Master Tsang Jin-shing around the Martial Temple where you can walk around and take photos. Guan Gong who can turn his head - intaglio carving The eyes of Guan Diye that rotate 180 degrees are always looking at you, and the 3D painted wall is also painted based on the story of the three sworn brothers in Taoyuan. After visiting the shrine, you can go into the city to eat salt water pasta.

(Translated by Google) The Shuiwu Temple, also known as the "Guandi Temple," was built during the Ming and Yongli years. Until 1799, Lukang Lin Wenjun went to Taiwan's capital city due to a case. When he was recalled, he felt that the emperor's holy monarch blessed him safe and sound. This custom of setting bee cannons is said to have a deep relationship with the Wu Temple. According to legend, during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a plague in the salt water area, and many people died in the day. The residents were very panicked. Guan Shengdijun was first aided and safe. Sure enough, Guan Shengdijun showed his great power and instructed the Lantern Festival to order Zhou Cangye to be a pioneer. Guan Shengdijun’s guard team behind the palace, all the believers set off firecrackers along with the mikoshi. After returning to the temple, the salt water place calmed down. The people deeply felt that Guan Shengdijun was prosperous. Every year the Lantern Festival was practiced and used bee cannons to expel the plague. It has evolved into the 14th and 15th of the first lunar month of the lunar calendar. The bee artillery event has become an annual event in the local area. Wu Temple has established this as the organizer of this profound folk art event and wrote a brilliant page in the history of salt water. Residents believe that on the day of the Lantern Festival, the more bombs on their bodies, the more prosperous the fortune in the coming year, so there are centuries-old legends, remember to prepare helmets, masks and transparent eye masks, plus raincoats, rubber shoes and other standard equipment (Original)

(Translated by Google) The starting point of the world-renowned religious festival, the Saltwater Bee Cannon, is this martial arts temple dedicated to Emperor Guan. As you approached the temple, you could see a solemn and mighty statue of Emperor Guan. There was also a five-clawed golden dragon beside the god (unfortunately, a few of its claws were broken), which further highlighted the majesty of Emperor Guan! If you come to participate in the Yuejin Port Lantern Festival recently, there are 3D painted double-sided paintings next to the temple. From two different angles, you can enjoy the different poses of Guan Shengdijun on display, which is quite interesting! There is also a three-dimensional concave sculpture, no matter which angle you go to, Guan Shengdijun will watch you as you move. In the evening, there is also a tree of life lantern show behind the temple. The most interesting thing is that the tiger is biting the bee cannon, fighting the virus that symbolizes this scourge of the world, and praying for an early cessation of the epidemic. Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival (鹽水蜂炮) Chinese lantern festival is on the fifteenth day of the January in lunar calendar , which marks the end of the Chinese New Year . All kinds of lantern are on display throughout the whole island , and Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival offers visitors another chance to experience the authentic local religious event. In sharp contrast with the peaceful scene of lantern , hundreds of thousands of tiny rockets are ignited during the event , going off in all direction. To protect yourself , full-face motorbike helmet , wet towels and thick rain coats are recommended . It is said that the fireworks could ward off evil and bring good fortune in the coming year.

(Translated by Google) The Saltwater Martial Arts Temple, famous for its saltwater bee cannon, is actually a temple with a history! Why is the Wu Temple Fair related to the bee cannon? Take a look at the following legends! At the end of the Qing Dynasty, due to the spread of the plague, the salt water declined, and the local people prayed for Guan Shengdijun to travel around the country. At that time, it was decided to make a detour from the 13th day of the first lunar month on the ascension day of Guan Shengdijun to the Lantern Festival, and where the mikoshi passed, the residents set off fireworks and firecrackers. After three days of detour, the salt water is full of smoke and sulphur. It is said that the plague has really slowed down. In the future, almost every year in the future, residents will conduct detours and release bees at this time! At the end of the Qing Dynasty, due to the spread of the plague and the decline of salt water, the locals prayed for the emperor Guan Sheng to leave the patrol territory. Yanshui Fengpao Fireworks Festival 2023 = 4 ~ 5 FEB, 2023 Saltwater Bee Cannon (February 4-5, 2023) Saturday, February 4, 2023 Quite the right time, place, people and people (Reason 1) After the epidemic (Covid-19) was lifted, the largest scale (Reason 2) "It just so happens" that most people have to make up a late shift today (Reason 3) The number of tourists visiting Taiwan has not fully recovered yet Reason 1 that I highly recommend The length of the night market is about 1 kilometer (or more). There are almost no repetitions of night market vendors on both sides of the road. You can shop/eat, drink and enjoy the fireworks at the same time. Fireworks every time (a conservative one every 20 minutes, about 5 to 10 minutes each time, I personally think it is much stronger than the 101 New Year's Eve fireworks) If you like excitement, you can walk "about 1 kilometer" to reach the "Artillery Concentration Area" I heard that the next day, Sunday, February 5th, there were 300,000 visitors... Next time I will prepare more sophisticated equipment and bring my children to play with me.

Whether it is gathering in the Wu Temple and the Saltwater Kingdom, or stopping by the roadside to watch the colorful sky in the distance, listening to the sound of the ancient town, the whole night is a grand celebration. Last year, due to the epidemic, the Saltwater Bee Cannon was suspended. This year, it was re-hosted but the detour was cancelled and changed to a fixed-point release. The excitement and enthusiasm of the people were still undiminished. There were many people wearing complete protective equipment on the road, and everyone seemed to be meeting next door neighbors.
