Hotel is in a great location but cleanliness and service needs improvement. When I walked into the room I saw a baby cockroach crawling around the bathroom. Called the front desk 2x to sort it out but no one came.

I used my AMEX platinum card Fine hotel & collection to book a room in the Grand Hyatt Taipei, however, very disappointed. One of the benefits was guaranteed a 4 pm check-out, but the front desk agent would not honor the 4 pm check-out, even though the sheet she gave me had 'guaranteed 4 PM check-out' written on it. I had to remind her four times, and she finally told me she would 'try' to allow me to check out at 2 PM. After I checked into the room, there was a very strong moldy smell. I went down to the front desk to request a change to a different room, but the same front desk agent's attitude was awful, she would not provide any solution. She indicated there’s no other room available. I requested to have odor removal spread in the room to remove the heavy molded odor smell, she said there’s nothing she could do. Even though I should have received a complementary upgrade while there’s a room available, she told me the room was upgraded, but it was actually just a regular twin beds room. She even treated me if I would change a room the twin beds would be even smaller than the room I had at the time, I requested if I could check the twin beds’ size because those twin beds were standard twin beds. I was majored in hotel and restaurant degree and worked for many branded hotel in US. I truly felt very disappointed with so called 5 stars hotel in Taiwan. This trip I stayed in Marriott hotel in Taipei and IHG Region Hotel Taipei. I highly recommend those two hotels to anyone who would visit Taipei.

One of the worst 4/5-star hotels I've ever stayed at. The bathroom had mold growing everywhere that had caulk or grout, from the sink, shower, bathtub to even the floor. Bath towels had unknown black spots and a strand of hair inside. There was even a huge mosquito inside the room even though the window could not be opened. I thought maybe it's a one-off thing but I had two rooms booked and both were in the same condition. For a property to be at this condition, either the management simply doesn't care or the housekeeping staff aren't doing their jobs. This shouldn't even be acceptable at a 2/3-star hotel, let alone being a "premium" brand in Hyatt's portfolio. As a frequent traveler with Marriott Plat and Hilton Diamond, this was my first stay at a Hyatt and will probably be my last.

I have booked top floor, grand suite on this weekend. 1. Constantly smelling cigarette smoke through the AC system. 2. Toilet flusher is broken. 3. Hair dryer not working. 4. Carpet was wet when I entered the room right after the check in. 5. ** Club lounge is the worst. Seats were full and the staff told us to wait in the room. They called at 7:40 PM to eat the scraps of left over foods of the lounge until 8 PM which will be the closing time of the lounge. Next day we visited again and the same staff gave us 2 seats for 3 people including the baby. **

Stayed at this hotel during recent visit to Taipei (after quarantine). Overall experience was great. I had room service staffs checked on my room everyday to see if I needed any room cleanings, supplies etc. Due to the pandemic, several in house restaurants were closed ( or only open during the weekend) so I didn’t get the chance to try out the good foods. The hotel is located just next to the 101 a few hundred feet away which offers a variety of options for local meals. The wifi connections is good. The powered window shed provided extra convenience to block out the lights at night. Due to the hotel overall structure design, I suggest to request south or south east facing rooms when check in because this is about the only two directions offers complete view of 101, day and night. Transportation is convenient. Transit stations just about 5 minutes walking distance other than taxis, buses. Business center is located right next to the check in counter where I used once to print documents, free of charge. Overall, highly recommended for any occasions.

I stayed in many hotels both locally and globally. By far this hotel surprises me with the worst customer service ever. You guys win hands down! Thank you for such bad experience. Well once your customer service sux, everything goes down hill. Please start investing in good people. That’s the key to success. Thank you

This used to be a great hotel with luxurious amenities. Unfortunately, they've turned to local residents to sustain their gym, sauna and pool facilities. The result is the place is overcrowded and its policies are tilted in favour of the local residents who pay annual membership fees, not hotel guests. I am very disappointed and won't stay here again.

I'm quite surprised how this is a 5 star hotel. I stayed for a few days and am not impressed with the rooms, service, or food. 1) The rooms are tiny, and the windows were dirty with handprints. I had to wipe them myself. 2) No one answers the phone past 5pm. If someone does, they say they cannot answer your question and will redirect you, and then that line has no one picking up. You go down to the front desk to ask for shampoo/water, and they say they don't have anything here but will send someone up. Crickets. We resorted to using face wash as shampoo and body wash for the remainder of our stay. 3) The buffet has a lot of food, but nothing is particularly good. Don't pay for food in the hotel - go out!! Only win for this hotel is the location - proximity to subway & of course the 101.

Top-class hotel with amazing Service & Staff teams. One of the better GH properties with great restaurant options + Grand Club lounge. Breakfast buffet on 1st fl was good with various options from Chinese, American & Indian menu options. Grand Club breakfast menu was a bit limited but enough for a quick bite. Best hotel location if you are visiting the Taipei 101 Shopping mall & Observatory. There is a covered walkway connected to Taipei 101.

This is a great hotel to stay at for the crazy price. The service is impeccable and meticulous. I went two hours earlier than check-in time because I was planning to check in my luggage so we could walk around. I was lucky enough to have my room ready. It is right across from Taipei 101 and therefore very accessible when it comes to the MRT. They even included two sets of children's toothbrushes in the bathroom. I would definitely come back.

We traveled with family to Taipei and arranged for multiple rooms. The staff were able to accommodate our request for adjoining rooms which was invaluable. We had a king bedroom connected to a room with two twin beds. The hotel offers good amenities like the gym and outdoor pool on the 5th floor, a coffee shop in the lobby (note it doesn’t open until mid-morning), and breakfast buffet which is least busy between 6-8pm. There are plenty of Western shops and restaurants nearby, or cross Keelung Road and head into the neighborhood to access fruit stalls and local vendors selling quick bites like cong you bing - scallion pancakes).

Grand Hyatt is not just any Hyatt but as the name says ”Grand” or Grandeur in nature. It is however slightly on the old side in design but everything from the lobby has been excellent. Service attitude from lobby to room, buffet, etc have been great. Stayed a few times there, dine a few times also.... pool was however not heated but huge and the kids had fun. Room design was a big strange in a way that it wasn't a regular size, maybe, it was because our upgraded room was at the corner lot. Anyway, food was nice throughout.... both room service ala carte and the regular buffet ones. We recently attending the Le Petit dining experience with our girls, service was Michelin standard by the lady supervisor and lady in charge of our side of the table. We even bought sushi, SE Asian food, etc for the next day's full day meal to bring back home. Delicious curry bun and sushi!

Since the Mother’s Day is coming, I got some time to take my mom and nephew to stay in Hyatt. They can enjoy the facility and I can still manage my work. I tried the sauna and the pool which is not bad ! The gym seems nice , I might try next time ! My nephew loves to stay in different 5-star hotels with me, and he loves the cozy sofa bed which the hotel arranged for us in advance and the nice view right next to bed cuz he is a typical romantic person ( kid) 😆Once again, thanks for the hospitality from the staffs!

This hotel is such a great location with a 2 minute walk to Taipei 101 and other malls and tons of restaurants. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are tired. I paid cash and points (US $300 a night for the paid nights) for a shabby looking room with zero view. The bed is comfortable enough but I would absolutely try a different hotel at this price point.

We spent 11 nights here. The location is great. Right next to the Taipei 101 mall and next to the traditional market. Free parking with lots of space is offered. The staff is friendly and the breakfast buffet is good with a large variety from western to Chinese and Indian. The hotel itself is a bit dated but it is well maintained. The outdoor swimming is well managed and swimming cap is required.

Grand Hyatt is famed for being one of the first five-star hotels in Taiwan. Based on my frequent visits, it exceeds all expectations. The hardware and furniture are exquisitely delicate, the lifts swift and quiet, the swimming pool massive and unique. The rooms are of course, clean and comfortable. However, staff training is one of the areas that need improvement. Firstly, when I asked for confirmation of room amenities, the staff never responded. Secondly, when customers ask for items to be sent to the room, it can take well over half an hour for said items to arrive. Lastly , cleaning service can be inconsistent and inefficient at times. Nonetheless, this hotel remains one of my favourite, especially for its stellar and convenient location. I hope that on my next visit, those shortcomings could be mended.

Stayed here a lot over the last decade or so. The hard product, i.e the rooms, gym and spa are still very good. However the service is somewhere between not existing to almost bad. (It has always been very cold/professional, but now has gone worse). Most disappointing thing was the breakfast which is at max at the quality level of a 4 star hotel. Quantity and variety is still good but it seems like they cut corners on quality. If you book early and just need a room and a good gym and spa - i still would stay here. If you need service and great breakfast, go somewhere else.

One star just based on the check-in experience alone. I’ve done my fair share of traveling and this is the first time I’m expected to wait more than one hour just to check-in to my room. Screenshot says there are 192 groups ahead of me waiting for check-in.

Breakfast buffet: in sum, NOT good (considering it’s a 5-star hotel). Only selection for tea is black tea but there are tea leaf pots for display nearby, which is very odd. Fried eggs and tofu are cold, and the line for omelets is way too long. The interior design and layout of the restaurant is just sad, narrow and messy making the dining experience unpleasant. If this is a 3-star hotel and then I wouldn’t have any comment. Bedroom: overall it’s very comfortable with a superb mattress and sofa. The view of Taipei 101 and the whole Xinyi district is very decent and relaxing. However, cleaning can be greatly improved. There are tissue chunks at the corner of the shower floor. There is also black mold and stain at the area for body wash and shampoo bottles, which is a bit disgusting. Services: the staff are all very professional and friendly. The lady who gave us the sparkling water to the room upon check-in was extremely nice, and I feel bad that I don’t remember her name. She deserves recognition and promotions. :) Overall I would want to stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei again mainly for the super comfortable bed, the view, the location and the mostly friendly staff. However I really hope the level of cleanliness can be greatly approved to meet its 5-star standard. I just noticed that some supposedly-cleaned bowls at the restaurant buffet were not clean (some food like rice or something like that stuck at the bottom of the bowls by the congee area). When I choose an hotel, cleanliness is always the top priority and I hate to say that Grand Hyatt Taipei definitely has to work harder in this field. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay and appreciate all the help and kindness provided to us.

Really lovely hotel! I stayed here in March 2019 as a treat to myself after having cycled around Taiwan. The staff in all departments were so friendly, especially down in the gym and at the swimming pool. They gave a very personal service which made me feel very cared for as a guest. If I go to Taipei again, I'd love to stay here once more.

Always had an excellent experience staying at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. Very well located, adjoining the Taipei World Trade Centre, so very convenient. Lots of shopping and food options near by including Taipei 101. Easy to commute to the airport with the Airport Bus stop across the street from the side entrance. Rooms very comfortable. Staff helpful and efficient, eager to help. Excellent dining options within the hotel & an amazing buffet selection.

In December, I made my first visit ever to Taiwan. I had booked a room at the Grand Hyatt hotel and used a suite upgrade to secure an excellent one bedroom, suite. Everything was terrific and housekeeping did an excellent job. They were persistent each day to get in and clean the room. I appreciated their conscientiousness. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent, and always very crowded. The hotel offered a wide selection of breakfast choices both Chinese and Western. The location was excellent and just across the street from the Taipei 101 building. Access to the local subway system was just down the street. My only negative comment regarding the service was the check in late on a Sunday night. I had a very exhausting flight from Texas and I just wanted to check in, shower and go to sleep. The check-in desk took a very long time with each guest. It seemed very unreasonable. The amount of time to wait seemed excessive to normal hotel check-ins and there weren't that many people in line. It was further complicated, because there was a separate "World of Hyatt" line to service those members, but it really wasn't clearly marked. The gentleman in front of me, who also stated that he was a Hyatt Globalist, started yelling at the check-in clerks, because it was taking so long.. if there was any room for improvement, it would certainly be with the check-in process.

Great hotel with very nice spa facilities. Has steam room. sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. A long block walk to the MRT station. Plenty of dinning choices in Taipei 101 across the street. We try the buffet in the cafe and the food was good but not great. We got a room on the 17th floor with great view but not bath tub?! But the spa somewhat made up for it. I'd recommend this hotel is you enjoy quieter stay.

I stayed here towards the end of the year. I really don't have any complaints for this place. Everything was spectacular. My favourite thing about this hotel was the sauna which was well facilitated and equipped and I loved the grand lobby. I have to give a special shoutout to the lady at the reception who went above and beyond to make sure my laundry request was fulfilled (I wish I asked for her name, but thank you!) The room was spacious and comfortable however it felt like there was no ventilation in the bathroom so the room felt a little steamy. I will definitely be back here diring my next stay in Taipei.

The room is small and overpriced. Though i has unobstructed view to 101, the ceiling height is low and uncomfortable. The breakfast was great with widespread of international buffet.

We chose the room with Taipei 101 view, which was beautiful. However, the room was very very tidy. We asked to upgrade to the bigger room but the front desk girl refused to help me. The breakfast was awful, full of people like a flea market. The rooftop pool was great!

  • 5/5 Jessie R. 7 months ago on Google
The ultimate 5 star experience. This is better than even most Hyatts. Clean, spacious rooms with all the bells and whistles. Daily cleaning service (which is less common in the post Covid era). Best part was the free spa access: cold plunge, sauna, steam room, hot tub. This will be the only place I stay when in Taipei.

went there for afternoon tea buffet. quite a lot of selections. sashimi were good. and Indians station exceeded my expectation. fish soup is also hearty. could work on pastry selection but amazing selection of cakes and ice cream.

Post mortem: the famous breakfast / brunch at the Café is a thing of the past. The selection has become fully Chinese, likely catering to PRC tourists? It has also become cheap: “no more smoked salmon provided at breakfast” was the answer. Two kinds of jam available, from the jar, to be taken out with a knife (?!?). The previous glamorous chocolate fountain replaced by a empty display case, quaintly communist style. Pictures attached for proof and you own assessment.

Wow! We finally got to stay in Grand Hyatt in Taipei. This time, we booked the Grand Suite with one bedroom in Taipei, I'm actually impressed with the size of the room they gave us. This room features with 3 views, a pool view, a city view, and a view of Taipei 101 shopping district. They also gave us a bottle of wine, which was a complimentary by the hotel. We enjoyed the stay in Grand Hyatt in Taipei, but I can't wait to try out the new Park Hyatt in Taipei and currently is under construction.

This hotel is great, and their spa is free to use (for award nights) as well. It's right across the street from Taipei 101. The service is great also, and location is convenient.

  • 3/5 Darren L. 2 years ago on Google
The room and the service was great. We reserved this hotel because of it close proximity to the shopping district close to 101. However, it was very disappointing that the side entrance (that is facing 101) and the covered overpass to 101 were both closed probably due to the extra staffing required to monitor those entrances because of COVID. As a result, we have to take the long way (probably add an extra 5-10mins) to get to the malls. To make matter worse, it was raining all 3 days while we were there. All in all, it was a huge disappointment as the biggest perk for this hotel for our particular stay turns out to be the biggest inconvenience the entire trip. It would be nice if they put up that notice somewhere on their website instead of of continuing to falsely advertise as "The only Taipei hotel with direct anchoring and link to Taipei 101".

Rooms: A bit vintage in design but it is cozy and clean. Love the view. Location: Amazing Service: My room came with Club access. Was denied during breakfast time , waiting for 20 mins at the lounge entry only to be told by the club concierge there that they don't have me in the list. I asked the concierge to check and call the front desk and she refused to do so. However there was another guest (caucasian) just strolled in and she didn't even asked for the person's room number. Not sure if it he was a regular or could not help to wonder if it is micro-bias since I do wear head covering at the time. Had to go down to Lobby for breakfast which made me queue for another 10 mins (yikes). Almost made me late for my meeting that day. That evening, I went to the front desk to check and surprise - my room included club access. Gave them a reminder to ensure that the following mornings I won't have to endure the same thing again. I guess the 1 star is for the front desk staff that kindly assisted me. Next day the same lady working on the club lounge did not even apologized for the previous day mishaps. I do like Hyatt hotel chain but the service can be improved.

  • 5/5 Cuyler M. 3 years ago on Google
Stayed 45 nights in 2020. Service is top notch, from front desk to concierge, Cafe to Grand Club, friendly and helpful staff are waiting. We stayed on the north side in a three person room, so no view of 101, but spacious room to enjoy. The hotel is extremely kid friendly, we enjoyed that. Others might not - the Grand Club lounge often has kids running to and fro. Spa and gym facilities are nice, everything is in working order. The hotel is nicest when 25-40% occupied. Weekends bring in multiple tour buses and the Cafe breakfast buffet is mobbed with people if you go after 7am. Long lines and barely space to swing a cat. The spa hot tubs become crowded, making one feel like a boiled dumpling... The welcome drink might be better called a "Welcome Refreshment" as it can be redeemed for non-alcoholic beverages only.

We stayed here for an overnight for our wedding anniversary. This hotel is beaufiful. Even though bc of Covid restrictions we couldn’t use the main facilities like the pool- we still had a great stay. The hotel staff were excellent and so friendly. They treated us with care and even gave us something special for our anniversary. We had a great view of 101. The bathroom and bed were so nice! We would definitely consider staying here again in the future… just hope I can use that amazing swimming pool!

Been staying here for almost ten years and the rooms are still clean and relatively spacious. However, the staff at check-in spoke broken Mandarin and even worse English. I’d expect a better level of training for such a prestigious brand of hotel.

This place was amazing. The rooms were spacious and they added an extra bed for free. The breakfast in the morning came with it and they had EVERYTHING. They also had a pool and tons of activities to do. They got us a taxi to the market nearby where we got to have all sorts of great foods. The service in the hotel is super fast and responsive. It was amazing.

I stayed with a 3 months infant and was totally disappointed and not satisfied with my stay at Grand Hyatt. I don’t know if it’s because they didn’t have much guests due to covid-19 but the room maintenance was an absolute bizarre. There was dust everywhere. I could see dust floating around in the air under the room light. Every breath I took in the room I could feel dust in my throat. Too much dust in the air made me and my partner to continuously cough even during the sleep. I was with an infant and normally we have an air purifier back home. Baby’s nose was fully blocked with snot after our stay at the hotel because of dusty air in the room. Due to COVID-19 and as we were staying with a baby, we ordered a room-service for our dinner. We ordered french fries, rib eye steak, spaghetti bolognese and some salad. We ordered french fries but what came to our room was wedges that were probably left over and re-fried. I couldn’t taste anything but oil when eating that fries. Salad had no dressing other than olive oil. I think they just opened a bag of salad and served it. Rib eye steak costs $1,800 twd but it tasted like $10usd Dennys steak. Severely overcharged for an awful steak. It was the worst steak I had in my entire life. Spaghetti bolognese was average. I expected much better food from a world famous 5 star hotel but what came to the room was really disappointing. I would like to be paid to eat that food rather than paying for it. It was a total waste of money. I regret ordering room-service. It would be better off if I had just ordered ubereats. Baby equipment provided such as bottle steriliser and warmer are so outdated and didn’t function properly. They did not provide me with the instruction as well. I think I would never come back to this hotel. I am awfully disappointed as I expected better from a 5 star hotel in the heart of Taipei city.

You can tell it’s an older hotel, like the Regent, but updated nicely, and very clean. Best part of the hotel were the ultra comfortable beds and the included toiletries were a nice plus. Solid breakfast buffet as well. I actually liked the breakfast buffet better than the Regent’s. The ceilings were oddly low though, roughly 7-8 feet on average in our room.

It is located in the excellent position close to the department stores and cinemas. The lobby is huge with a beautiful fountain. On the ground floor there are a variety of restaurants and waiting areas for the guests and the visitors. The staff are nice and friendly to help with the process of the event. In summer the hotel is holding a series of activities for family guests. It could be an impressive travel memento in life.

I heard someone was jumping above multiple times a day and a neighbor hit the wall a few times. I will never visit again because quietness is my top need. If the hotel really cares about customers' sleeping quality, they should avoid assigning adjacent rooms to people when they still have space.

From the pleasantly plump pillows, buckets of ice for champagne drinking, to the sauna and stream room Grand Hyatt Taipei is a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stay baecation for any couple in or passing through Taiwan. Go ahead and thank me now for the recommendation that will have one's partner smiling from 👂🏾 to 👂🏾!!!

Very poor experience. The hotel staff are friendly but sadly have not received training and there is no communication between different departments of the hotel. They got so many things wrong during our stay I don't have the time to write about them all here. Needless to say this place is not being run to a 5 star standard at all. Far from it. People have commented on the hotel building being old but there are plenty of hotels in Europe which are in buildings far older than this but they benefit from being properly maintained. There has clearly been little to no maintenance on this building which is shocking for what is supposed to be a high end hotel. The room they initially put us in was very dusty and then the room they moved up to had dirty marks on the walls and paint flaking off the windows. 5 star? I think not.

Theft!!! Our bag of gifts was stolen from our room. The maid said she never saw it. We got 2 cheap kid origamis as a replacement for gifts for four adult daughters and nieces!!! The light switches were for the wrong side of the bed. The carpet is filthy. And a used nail file was there in the room when we got there. The air conditioner had not been turned on so the room was stuffy. For the price, you can get a real five-star hotel nearby.

It was my first time using my globalist status to book this hotel. I appreciate the staff providing high service quality and the entire team is determined to guarantee every customer has a good living experience with Grand Hyatt Taipei. Before the check-in date, they fulfilled my request to prepare bathroom pieces of equipment for my grandma to prevent any unnecessary accidents, and also they provided a rapid and good solution to our concern. I will come back based on this experience.

Reviewing to say that the breakfast has tons of vegan options, most of which are marked. Staff was helpful in clarifying what is what. It came for free with the room; not sure it would be worth the ~US$60 price but there is huge variety from the hot soymilk dish with sweet or savory accompaniments, tofu, stir fry veg, salad station with quinoa, red bean buns, noodles, a hot sauce spread (see video) and more. Just takes some time to find everything! The lounge is fantastic overall in a huge space with beautiful views and exceptional service, but vegan options were a bit limited. One night had mushroom dumplings but beware the hot sauce wasn’t vegetarian. Also walkable to night market, subway, that converted factory with shops, parks, and restaurants. Big, beautiful lobby and friendly service overall.

Very nice hotel. Excellent food, service and view of 101. Your not going to find a nicer hotel in this price range.

One of the finest hotels in this country: everything is great, both the buffet and lobby cafe are exceptional. The buffet is on the expensive side but is worth every penny. Highly recommended for stays around the 101 area.

Grand Hyatt Taipei is one of the best hotels I have been to. The service is top notch! I checked in to the hotel on the day of my better and the staff wished me a happy birthday, told me that they have small gift for me which is a small cake she said, it will be delivered at night around 19:00-20:00, which was there on the table when me and mom arrived at the hotel room after dinner! First the room is nice with Taipei 101 view, I think I had a free upgrade? Because I remembered booking for a city view not a land mark view, if it is really a free upgrade THANK YOU SO MUCH GRAND HYATT! The beds are comfy, we had a relaxing stay there, unfortunately Spa and swimming pool is closed for maintenance so we didn’t get the chance to enjoy those. Me and my mom had dinner at Cafe House, the food there is excellent, from asian to western style, it is all yummy! I took my time and tasted if not all almost every food served until I dropped. Their Tuna sashimi is the best, melts on your mouth with buttery texture, hongkong style You Fan is so yummy it has big pieces of chicken and mushroom which I love! Noodles are flavorful! When you get the chance to eat there, taste everything its worth it! We had breakfast the next day (which is limited to 60mins only), it was a wonderful and filling breakfast, everything was served fresh, omelettes and sunny side up eggs are so good! Chocolate croissants and Danish breads too! Over all it was an excellent experience!

The main selling point of this hotel would be it's location and that it's connected to Taipei 101 via an overhead pedestrian bridge. Otherwise while the rooms were well maintained, they were really start to show their age. There's no power sockets at the bedside tables and generally there's a lack of outlets. The only universal pocket sockets was by the study table in front of TV which was a strange placement. The internet speed was relatively okay at 7.38Mbps download and 9.60Mbps upload. Balmain toiletries were provided. These were rather nice but it's fragrance would be better. There's a whole legend or story about the hotel being haunted (it's debunked) but I slept really well throughout and did not experience any unpleasant paranormal activities of any sort. My friends and I were super amused by the flickering right on the 2nd level as we were walking back to the hotel at around midnight though 😂 The breakfast spread had excellent variety and was delicious. I especially liked the pearl meatballs with glutinous rice. Within the hotel, there's like 9 restaurants but if that's not enough for F&B options, there's always more in Taipei 101 just next door and of course many many more selections across all price ranges in the city. The excellent central location of Grand Hyatt Taipei makes getting around very convenient.

One of the best hotels in Taipei. During this 3 weeks trip in Taiwan, we had stayed in several Marriott hotels. This Grand Hyatt hotel is the best. I definitely like the location (by the MRT station, sky bridge to 101 shopping mall). However, what impressed me the most is the service I received, From door man, checking in help desk, housekeepers, restaurants, all people are so kind and willing to help.I will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Really really nice hotel. I spent two nights here and really enjoyed my stay. Walking distance to so many bars and Xinyi shopping district. Also, the staff is so friendly and professional. It is a little pricy but it is totally worth the money!

The staff seem confused with their room amenities. I booked a grand deluxe king room for 2A2C. Entered the room but everything was for 2pax. Only knew about the sofa bed after I checked in and read online reviews. Requested and they changed for me another room, it was great move from them. But a staff brought all the things to make sofa bed in the first room given which left me confused. Then came another staff who came and gave me the keys for the new room. Went into the new room, things were for 3pax instead of 4... Only in the morning I met the housekeeping staff and she explained to me after questioning. Breakfast was good with a wide spread of choices.

Stayed there for 7 nights ( June 9 to 16, 2023 ). The hotel has a very good location. Situated near an MRT station and beside Taipei 101 mall and different restaurants. Breakfast is one of the best. Will rate their Service Excellent too. Two driveway concierge guys help pushed our luggage to the bus stop for airport and even waited for the bus to arrive and help us load it into the airport bus. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

This so called 'Grand Hyatt' wants to play in the five star league, but closes the bar and all the restaurants at 9pm! Ridiculous and absolutely not acceptable.

A nice place to rest for a night, it filled with many facilities to indulge yourself inside this hotel! Nice food and nice decorations

Such a disappointing stay. To start we checked in around noon. I went to the line for world of hyatt members and no one was there. We had to go to another counter to as whats going on for someone to come help us. Our room wasnt ready yet which is fine since it wasnt the guaranteed time yet. The reception said she would try to get it ready in an hour or two and will call us when it was ready. I also requested for an crib and microwave. 2:30pm rolls around and no call. I go back to the front desk to find out our room was ready an hour ago but they just failed to call and let us know. We get to the room and theres no crib. We call the front and they told us to call room service. We called room service and they gave us a hard time telling us we needed to wait because the request wasnt put in before hand. I didnt want to argue but i was a bit frustrated since i did put in the request but it just wasnt handled properly. Went to the spa and it was my first time so I requested for someone to show me around. They guy met me in the locker room and said there are the lockers, use your key to lock your things and left. That was it!?! He didnt bother to show me any of the facility. No introduction to the hot tub temperatures, nothing about the steam or sauna, had to roam around to find a relaxation area and nothing about the showers or grooming supplies available and where they were. And so after getting finished up, I take a shower, i saw there were no towels available. My locker key wasnt working either. I called the front and they said someone will be there soon. I waited over 5 minutes naked and drenched in the a/c waiting by my locker. The guy came and asked me for my key with a few towels in hand and began working on the locker without giving me a towel first. I was wet, naked and cold! I had to stop him working on the locker and ask him to give me a towel. What is going on here?!? Later we went to the bakery to buy a few things and they said they allow discounts to WOH members so i pulled up my app and the lady just grabs my phone ask i showing her without asking. I feel that these days its just common courtesy to ask before touching other peoples personal items. I would have expected much more from Grand Hyatt. Just the overall service and experience was poor.

Grand Hyatt experience with good rooms and great location. Working fast wifi. Quiet aircond. Clean linens and working toilet and bathroom. Good selection on TV for shows. Located right next to Taipei101.
