A great place for mountaineering. There are plenty of trails to hike and peaks to climb. You may need shuttle services or drive on your own as transporting between where you stay and the trailheads.

It's beautiful and very dense forest. Deer, Bears and forest monkey are easily visible there. It is cold place even during summer also. So please carry warm jacket when visited this site. For the Taichung resident, ticket price is only 100 NTD.

If you like to breathe some fresh air and love hiking, then this is an excellent place. It’s near to Taichung. If you love motorcycle riding then you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. You will find many people photographers.

Great place for a walk on a sunny day. Tall trees provide an excellent shade and the view is great!

The forest itself is an easy 5 star. The staff that sell the tickets and the park rangers? Not very friendly. They act like they are doing you a service by letting you inside when you buy a ticket. Strange attitude. The forest trail path is very serene; almost mystical. There are not so many people on the trail so there are moments when it is just you and the forest. Peace and quiet in a place as busy and crowded as Taiwan is a luxury worth paying for. In terms of landscape views there are not so many vistas. However, if you persevere about 40 minutes upwards (it is not a challenging trail ) you will find a tower. The view from the tower is very beautiful.
