A wonderful hostel managed by three sweet and caring staffs. Nick, Alex and Kelly were amazing through out my stay. The room felt really cozy, indeed. Overall, a great stay. Thanks guys!

This is by far the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed at! I booked a private room for about 700NTD over the holidays, and they gave me a free upgrade as well. The rooms are very clean and comfortable as are the shared bathrooms. Towels are available for rent, and there’s a place to do laundry on the ground floor. It’s in a quiet area of Hualien City but still very close to the train station and lots of good restaurants. If you’re biking, there’s room right outside the hostel to store your bike.

Great hostel! Not the backpacking, noisy, basic type. Very central location within walking distance of the train station and parking for scooters outside. Checking was a breeze with good communication from the hostel. Rooms are clean and shared bathrooms are too. Towels available to hire if needed. A spacious open plan kitchen, diner, lounge for eating and relaxing in. Would recommend!

The major cons are: 1. They don't provide face or bath towels and the rental price is a bit steep. We bought some from Carrefour. 2. There is no reserved parking. If you drive you may want to look elsewhere as you'd be paying the premium for living next to the station. 3. Walkup only, but it wasn't too bad as we were on the second floor. Don't bring a big suitcase as there isn't that much space in the room to open it up as well. 4. The room is a 5 min walk from the train station so you'll be able to hear the trains (as well as planes) go by. On the bright side, the kitchen has a microwave, toaster, one electric induction stove and one zojirushi steamboat pot. It was also fairly clean. Shower curtain was a bit short so either the bathroom door or the toilet bowl gets wet.

Highly recommended. Stayed here for 2 nights. Just like the name, The Cozy House is very cozy to stay with clean and tidy room. Staff Tasha, Nancy and John are welcoming and friendly, led me explore the city around. One of the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed.

Super cute hostel/hotel - rooms are simple, airy and clean, staff is friendly. You can do laundry for 40TWD. What I loved the most is that they share a Google maps list with recommended cafes, bars and restaurants

Recommended to everyone who are planning to travel to Hualian! The hostel is clean and comfortable and of course the room is super cozy and spacious as well! Definitely will re-book again this hostel whenever I’m visiting Hualian again!💯✨

I had stayed in Cozy House for 2 weeks. I was supposed to stay there for only 1 week, but I extended my stay because…I felt so comfortable to stay there. The staffs, Tasha, Nancy, Han, John and Techno were extremely friendly. They always invited me for dinner, drinking and some other activities. They have a nice common area where I can work and socialize with other guests. I will definitely stay at Cozy House next time I visit Hualien.

Very nice and comfortable hotel! The bed was perfect after a day hiking in the mountains. The shared spaces (kitchen, bathroom) are quite big and very clean. The staff is also very friendly, even if do not speak English much.

Such a helpful host! We checked in quite late after our train arrived and then were able to shower after our hike on the day we checked out. Beds were really comfy and the whole place was clean and peaceful, we slept so well! Location is handy near the train station. Definitely recommend.

One of the better places I've stayed! Cozy House is a place where you can feel right at home, and are welcomed without judgement by excellent, friendly (and creative) staff. The facilities are very comfortable and clean. I stayed in one of the single rooms, which was spacious, with plenty of daylight, and very quiet at night. The shared bathroom (one for each floor, three rooms per floor) was clean and generous too. The 'vibe' if the hostel is just right, the location is excellent and I wish I had more days to spend here; if not for the facilities and room, for the people. Thanks for making me feel at home. If you're reading this, and plan to book: book! And book more nights than you think you need :)

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay with clean room + friendly host, this is definitely the place I would recommend.

I booked one single room for 2 days via Agoda. However, when I got there, the staff brought me to a room w 3 bunk beds without an explanation. I did asked “isn’t one single room?” The staff replied “this room is only for you.” Okay. To be honest, the whole vibe & facility is cozy n nice. I just felt a bit off when I got the answer. Just make sure why you get in advance.

Really nice and clean B&B. The bathroom has a separator so that the whole restroom is wet after you leave the shower. Bed is nice and comfortable while comforter is warm yet lightweight. Pillow is also pretty supportive while being plush. I slept really well and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B in the future. Bonus: shampoo also smells nice

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. They even taught me how to use my cell phone as a hotspot!

Staff Nick was nice and kindly offered us help with the luggage up and down the stairs. The room was ok, we had a twin shared bathroom room, with literally no soundproof door and the lock was very old as well. There was some noise mumbling on the floor above every two seconds day and night without exception, so light sleepers may want a second thought. AC in the room blows directly to you when sleeping, but there was plenty of room to rearrange bed /AC. Was also very disappointed that they've asked us to review the place at the time of checking in and also tried to incentive for good review by giving you a free postcard. If I knew this, I probably wouldn't choose this place.

Very nice place to stay if you want to visit Taroko National Park or Hualien! It‘s convenient to reach, really clean and so incredible cozy! The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable. The whole staff is really nice, especially Kelly who told us all about where to go in the national park and Hualien. Thank you for everything!

Great hostel! this place is cozy. The Room as well as the common area is very clean. May not be the best location in town, still, very convenient. 10-15 mins walk to train station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Kelly is really nice, helpful! Introduced me some good food that only locals know. Highly recommended!

I spent two nights in this hostel. One of the best hostels I've ever been to. The rooms have only 3 single beds, therefore it is very quiet in the rooms. Also Kelly the receptionist is great. She helped to organize my trip into the Taroko gorge. Thank you very much!

Exactly like its name this hotel provided us a very cozy stay with such clean & spacious room and the common area feels like home. A staff named Nick made our stay better as he welcomed us with smile, led us to our room and always ready to help us with anything. He's also very fluent in English which helps us a lot in communicating. Thank YOU Nick! :)

The Cozy House is one of the homiest and loveliest places I’ve stayed in in Taiwan! On my trip around the country, I found this to be one of the most welcoming and comfortable places, as well as reasonably priced for the room I got. The blanket and pillow are SO soft here that I had to ask where they got it so I could buy it after. Lin Lin and the helpers are so warm and helpful, they recommended me a lot of awesome places I didn’t know about, and allowed me to fill my trip with many cats and coffee :) Highly recommend!! It’s walking distance to the train station and public transport - distance to downtown!
