Worst hotel we stayed in in Tajikistan, cycling the across the country towards the Pamir highway. We paid 150 somoni for a double room with bathroom. The room didn't lock (no key), the bathroom was filthy (even after they cleaned it again when we complained: very dirty toilet seat, used toilet paper in the bin, etc.) We slept in our silk liners that night. Staff unfriendly and ineffective-appeared as though they were scared/fed up of the manager, who was bossing them around relentlessly. Adding to this, the manager touched me inappropriately as he was walking past. Needless to say we didn't feel safe. Didn't eat at the restaurant, because the price quoted for a kebab was several multiples of a normal price (we were clearly being ripped off). We went to a lovely restaurant around the corner of the hotel and paid normal prices. We left ASAP in the morning.

Was cycling through. Basic stop off on the 'Southern Route' to Khorog. I paid about 150 so oni for a room with bath and toilet, TV and aircon. Pretty basic stuff. Restaurant was OK, but they didn't sell water which was surprising. Biggish market next door.

Worst hotel I've ever been to. Everything is very dirty. The bathroom has mold on the walls and ceiling, dirty unwashed toilet, shower stall without doors, all electrical sockets are broken. The room has a terrible smell.
