Nice place for a western style breakfast, including bacon, eggs, toast. All the staff speak perfect English. I had the "Full Rugby" which was nice and quite filling. The avocado toasties and muesli were a bit bland. The coffee was great! This place can be a little hard to find as it's tucked away and not visible off the street. My photo shows what the entrance to the building looks like.

Came across the spot when looking for breakfast options within a few blocks of our hotel. At first glance, it looked promising. But our experience didn't quite live up to the hype. We arrived here maybe 15 minutes after they had opened and the spots were already running out. Luckily we could get seated at the high table, if you're comfortable with sharing space. A quick glance at the menu quickly makes you realize that the prices are higher than elsewhere in Osaka, which sets expectations a bit higher for sure. Their menu also contains some hype words such as 'cleanse' and 'detox'.. We placed our order for some coffees and toasties, and hoped for the best. It very quickly became clear that they were understaffed and running inefficiently. One lady making the drinks, one guy cooking and one guy handling seating/orders/checks. There were 4 tables before us and still none of them had food after ten minutes of us sitting there. Don't worry, while you wait you can watch some weird DJ lady on TV dancing to alternative music while she swaps records lol. Slowly but surely, things eventually started to come out of the kitchen. It was clear he was cooking one dish at a time rather than multi-tasking. When we got our toasties (we both ordered different ones), for some reason they all came on the same little wooden plank. The toasties don't come with any sauces or some garnish. They tasted meh, nothing memorable. For the price and time we spent waiting, you'd expect better. I wouldn't come back here based on the experience we had.

Oh my such a nice! Melbourne from what hearing for differentiating sourcing is not the capital but is city in ausutorarirariarirairira not to be confusing with a Central Europe country by the naming of the austorirarira. The foody was such a nice, much enjoyment of the eating of the advocader toast and nananer bread. Much recommend with tastings of coffee that is hot, please visit when such changes do arise in a lifetime, right mate?

It was great to have the server speak English with us as soon as we entered. It had cool Aussie cafe vibes. Hubby got the Full Rugby, I got the muesli with Greek yoghurt and kids got cheese and bacon toasties. Great to have oat milk coffees as well. No line when we came but soon had one shortly after. Was it good for us Aussies? Yeah nah for sure!

From Melbourne myself I was immediately drawn to this place and just 2 min from my hotel. It certainly has that Melbourne CBD vibe. The coffee is great. Strong, silky and the perfect temperature. Who said you can’t find great coffee in Japan!

CASH Only. Went to have breakfast there on Tuesday Oct 3! There was people waiting already right before it open! After we got seated, after 10 min or so, more people came and they had to wait in line. I think all were tourists/foreigners. I ordered white tea with rose and avocado smash and my friend ordered dirty chai and a toast. Turned out to be 3350 yen. My friend liked her dirty chai sooo much! And I enjoyed my avocado smash greatly too, a bit messy to eat but taste was great! Nice vibe at the place and staffs were friendly! Great breakfast/brunch place!

Nice little coffee shop with fantastic breakfast. I had their avocado smash (basically avocado toast and a poached egg) and it was perfect in just about every way… and I say this living on the US west coast which is pretty well known for items containing avocado. Highly recommended.

This place has or had potential. Service extremely slow, like hair pulling slow, the one waitstaff easily gets distracted by the next task, poor organization and no real structure to the flow. The oat latte was very good when it finally came, im glad for this as not every coffee shop has alternative milk, esp oat. I got the full rugby, which was very salty, the bacon and the sausage was super salty and same with the vegetables. Thank god the eggs were not salty or else I dont know how I could have eaten it.

Great for a first stop in Osaka! Especially in the morning for coffee and sandwiches. They're *chefkiss* especially for people who loves Australian coffee. The owner is a very friendly chatty guy who recommends food and places to us as well and we're very grateful for the warm welcome. Would definitely stop by each time we visit Osaka/Kyoto again.

Amazing flavor. If you want to have a break from japanese breakfast, this is the best option. Vegetarian option available at the menu. Payment just CASH. We ordered toasties and avocado toast with egg. Absolutely delicious!!

we had to wait in line, only 2 people in front of us but it took some time. I think it was worth the wait because the food was good. I got the toast with eggs and cheese and it was good. the coffee is good too. the staff are very nice. this place was only a 5 minutes walk from our hotel.

This one is a hole in a wall cafe and I was just so happy to find this special place in Osaka. Great breakfast if you’re looking for Western food and great coffee which Melbourne is so known for. This morning spot also takes me back to Australia.

Great vibe, service, and food. After all the Kiseki and fish for breakfast I really wanted eggs and a really good coffee. This place was amazing. The chef really hustles to make good quality food and goes above and beyond for his customers. We came here once and he ran out of food but then recommended us to places for food and coffee. We came back again for full breakfasts and it did not disappoint.

Melbourne Coffee, Craft & Cider is a must visit place while in Osaka. Why should you visit? The food is fantastic, the ambiance is warm, and the service is first class. We came here looking for breakfast, coffee, and Chai. The sausage in the Rugby breakfast was delicious. The coffee and tea were what our souls needed for some warmth on a cold and rainy morning. Colin, the owner, is extremely welcoming and friendly. We plan to go back in the evening before we leave Osaka. Can't wait to return. :)

We went here for my friends birthday brunch. I had the full rugby which was great. A healthy version of a full English breakfast. The owner is super friendly and went out of his way to make our brunch special. He made a delicious carrot cake especially for my friends birthday. I highly recommend it and will be going back for the smashed avo next time.

Great cafe close to Shinsaibashi station (amongst others). Colin served up a fair dinkum flat white and “Full Rugby” big breakfast. Even kept my kid busy with crayons and colouring book. Food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. Colin made us feel very welcome. Will definitely visit again when we’re next in town

It is amazing how good the food is. In terms of location, it is very close to the main train station. In my opinion, this is one of the best breakfasts to have at the beginning of the day.

A friend had recommended this place so I decided to give it a go for one of the mornings I was in Osaka. It was an underwhelming experience. My chai coffee came out a bit on the cold side and the food took a good 30mins or so to arrive at my table. You can find better coffee and breakfast elsewhere at surrounding cafes/streets with a shorter wait time and cheaper...

Great FLAT WHITE!! ☕ And the banana bread is also amazing. They have a good selection breakfast menu. Will def go back here again when visiting Osaka!

Incredible spot with delicious food and knowledgeable & charismatic owner who was super welcoming and nice to talk to. Breakfast is always hard to find in Japan - especially when you have dietary restrictions. This place has everything you need! The gluten-free bread was delicious (highly recommend the Avocado toast) and the dirty chai was to die for, especially on a rainy morning. I hope to come back and try the smoothie bowl on my next trip to Osaka. Definitely check this place out!

PHENOMENAL! Best breakfast in Osaka. The food is so fresh and beautifully presented. The COFFEE! It’s a must stop.

Great coffee, fabulous friendly owner, and a free tiny Anzac cookie - what more could you want?! We came for a quick take away coffee and ended up staying and chatting for an hour. All the ingredients used in the dishes are carefully sourced, and you can tell that a lot of love has gone into building this cafe. We will be back to try the breakfasts for sure. Definitely a place for Melbournians to visit to grab a slice of home!

Dirty dishes and cups all over the place and it took ages to get our coffees to go. We had to ask several times and probably waited half an hour. The coffee is good but not worth the long wait and bad service. Worst experience in Japan.

Super delicious food and very nice people. The cappuccino was very good too! The location is easy to find generally, the Café is just a bit behind a staircase :'D still you will see the sign. Nearest train is for example hankyu line nagahoribashi or "all trains Namba" 🤣

After a two week trip around Japan, it was good to taste a slice of home. The triple espresso was just like Melbourne, and I had the Rugby Breakfast, which was delicious. Every time I looked up, I thought I was back home in Melbourne. If visiting get in early as the place was busy at 9:30am. They also advise that they can only serve a limited number of people for food. If you want breaky, get in before the rush, or you will miss out.

I recently visited this café with a friend, expecting a pleasant experience, but we were sorely disappointed. A 30-minute wait to be seated was just the beginning. We were patient, but another half hour passed before our first dish was served. Regrettably, the rest of our order was entirely forgotten. We addressed the staff multiple times, but it was over an hour before we were informed that our food hadn’t even been prepared. The offer to wait yet another half hour was the final straw. We left, not only hungry but deeply disappointed by the poor service and lack of consideration for our time. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning to this café, and cannot recommend it to others

Melbourne cold brew and a vegan toastie in Osaka? So awesome. It was great to have a little taste of Melbourne and hear an Aussie voice behind the bar. The vegan toastie was really delicious, full of veggies. English on the menu, very popular on Sunday morning but we only waited 15 mins.

First time coming but literally the best place in Honmachi area! I love how the natural light hits the bar counter. Foods and drinks are fresh made and taste awesome. Last but not least, the owner has really good taste in music!

A great find! The owner Collin is super nice, makes great food and coffee, and I loved the space. I had amazing avocado toast with poached egg on the best bread I've had in my 8 months in Japan. If I'm ever back through Osaka I will definitely be back, and will bring friends!

*EDIT 10.07.23 - While the food is excellent in our second visit since last November, the ventilation inside the restaurant is a bit problematic. It was a full house and it seemed like there was no air, and all of us felt quite uneasy. If you’re craving for some hearty brunch food, this is the place!! Great relaxed vibe, generous portions, and brunch food that was prepared with good technique. Excellent service as well. Definitely recommended!

Overall the food and service were great and the kids loved the Toasties, but to be nit-picky they lack a kids menu (like a simple scramble egg), they didn't have the smoked salmon which I was really looking forward to, and they didnt advertise their alcohol so I didn't ask, which is weird cause "craft and ciders" were in the name, but I did buy some ciders on the way out. Also, I hate paper straws. Either way good spot, definitely worth it.

Love the atmosphere, I really loved that if we wanted to we could just turn around and watch the food be cooked. Friendly staff and the iced mocha coffee was really good! Thank you for accommodating to our group of 5 pretty quickly! 🫶

I came here because it seemed like there are a couple of vegan options which is quite rare in Japan in general and in Osaka in particular. I tried to explain the waiter I’m vegan and if I can have the smashed avo without the poached egg or on the side for my family thinking this is how I turn this dish vegan Ended up getting it with a sauce which was mayo, asked the waiter if I can have the dish without the sauce, found out the smashed avo is mixed with yogurt so I can’t have the dish at all.. order the gang toastie which was the ONLY option for vegans on the menu as opposed to the menus here on Google maps. The toastie was ok, no more than that.. pretty flavorless.. do not recommend this place for vegans. My family had some other things which were not vegan and they liked it.

Found this place on Google, and decided to give it a try on my last day of vacationing in Japan. Ordered a hot latte and the smashed avocado. And omg, everything was amazing. The coffee was super fragrant and strong to my liking. It’s hard to find a good cup of strong coffee nowadays at cafes, so this hit the spot! The avocado toast was as amazing, and one of the best if not the best that I’ve ever eaten. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to japan!
