Food and drinks are good, however their regulations to be allowed as customer are outrageous. You must order at least one drink for each guest. We as a family of 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) have r ordered 3 drinks and 3 meals and we were still asked to order two more drinks as we’re 4. You can apply such rules for adult customers, but not for families where perhaps the child isn’t hungry not thirsty. Staff is friendly but persistent. Maybe think about choosing another place to have a coffee break. Due to these un-bendable seating rule, I won’t come back. 1st rude experience of Japan hospitality!

Worse place I have been so far in Japan. All the staffs got no consistency in what they say and even with google translation, it didn’t work well with them. 1 can tell you no food menu, another tell you no food at all, another one tell you food need to wait for 50 minutes etc and when you ask for menu, they say no, don’t know what rubbish they doing

I love Japan and the people but not this cafe. The man with spectacles was rude, arrogant and racist. That completely destroyed the image of this beautiful country. Food was not great either. I would have given zero star if I could.

Average coffee n pricey. Not very welcoming staff at counter. The first thing they tell you is one drink per person which is reasonable but surely not the first thing u say to customers.

Excellent place for breakfast. Coffee is much better than those Starbucks in Osaka. Service was friendly and attentive. Don’t really understand why some reviewer commented that their service is bad. Our family went twice and everything was perfectly fine.

This is the first time in Japan I am shocked by the poor quality of food and service . The sandwich was cold soggy and the bacon inside tasted raw. This is a made to order sandwich . There is long line at the counter - not becoz it’s popular but simply becoz the operator is messy and very slow. It’s such a waste for a nice shop and location like this one .

For those people who came and dine at this cafe when it was run under UCC, please note that this is a different management. You will not find the great food, syphon coffee, and fantastic hospitality you enjoyed previously. I was so disappointed with the experience.

My first experience here was with a takeout and I thought the coffee was nice so I came back to eat in. But at dine-in, The staff working here don’t seem happy at all and it reflects in their service. The breakfast set is below average. We’ve definitely had better elsewhere.

Coffee in Japan is not good for a particular coffee drinker like I'm. The dearth of choice has led me into this coffee joint. 3 of us ordered 2 drinks were told blank we needed to order 3 drinks. ' 3 people 3 drinks, or no stay' the exact words.

Got 2 iced coffees … came in a small metal cup … half full …700 yen !!! Seriously this is the most expensive coffee we’ve had here in Japan !!.. thank goodness I asked for only a bit of ice !!

Ucc cafe plaza is the brqnch of the famous UCC coffee shop here in Osaka near the akuromon seafood market. The coffee shop is a bit small and the selection of food is a bit limited however the coffee is still great. It would be better if the food selection would have more options.

Came here today to briefly escape the rain. The signage was “precious coffee moments.” Throughout all my travels in Japan, I’ve only ever encountered kindness and friendliness. THAT ENDED TODAY. The clerk was extremely rude to us. I would like to praise the coffee, but the way the clerk spoke to us and looked at us was very cold and unwelcoming.

The coffee used is great. The atmosphere looks good too and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Coffee and milk teas were great (recommend the special sesame coffee latte). Atmosphere: Do not enter if seating is unavailable on first floor. Upstairs - all the ACs blast cold air directly on top of you. Servers were unable to adjust it.

The coffee is really good, not too sugared, just like it must be. I loved my experience here. I warmly recommend it. ✨

Great little breakfast place to get a small bite to eat. Coffee is made by a vacuum coffee maker, tastes great!

Surprised that UCC would have a Specialty Coffee selection - but they do! Great place to sit down for a cup of coffee.

My wife and I came here for breakfast twice while staying in Osaka. Upon entering, they staff will ask you if you want to sit in the smoking section (2nd floor) or not. We both chose the fruit and waffles with coffee with an additional fried egg from the set breakfast menu which cost around 1,350 yen total. Food, coffee and service were great. The waiter that assisted us on the second day was fantastic. Staff doesn’t speak English all that well, but it’s better than my Japanese. Would recommend if looking for something with a North American diner feel.

Excellent coffee at UCC. Breakfast menu is simple, yet satisfying. If you love good coffee / UCC / 上島珈琲店, don’t miss this. Will be back!

Spent time last month here with strawberry waffle and afternoon tea. It’s lovely garnishing. Tasty was so good as well. Think of here, if you want to relax in a cosy coffee shop near Kuromon fish market.

Great breakfast place! Simple and nice meal with a cup of brewed coffee. Definitely a must come place. But point to improve to UCC cafe, to remove it second level from smoking zone. Seriously bad for diner to become a second hand smokers.
