Wow, how spoiled I was at this hotel. I paid something like $45 for a room that overlooked Takayama station. The room was HUGE, including a kitchenette and washer/dryer (which was free to use). The staff were very welcoming, held my luggage for a few hours after check-out, and helped point me towards food and drink options in town. The location is superb, just steps from the station, and within walking distance of the sake breweries, Hida folk village, and more. I only wish I spent more than one night here!

One of the best hotels in Japan. A big room, fully equipped kitchenette, washer with dryer (detergent included) with all the essential utensils, big comfortable beds with a few pillows, skin care products not only shampoo and body wash. Room is serviced everyday. Highly recommend this hotel to travellers. 3 minutes walk to the Takayama Station and very near to the old town with lots to see, shop and eat.

This place is a gem, especially for what you pay, and the location is prime (very walkable and only a 3 minute walk from the train station). It's like having your own apartment. Our room had a washing machine, a kitchenette, spacious bathroom, and then a huge bedroom with a sitting area! It felt very cozy, clean and comfortable. The hotel also has additional items you can borrow upon request, such as a hair curler.

This place is a hidden gem. It's only a 2min walk from the train station which makes it super convenient!! There's even a family mart opposite the hotel where you can grab snacks and drinks. The room is super spacious. There's even a kitchen and a washing machine/dryer. Beds are comfy and there's a lot of space for you to put ur luggages. Will definitely come back if I visit takayama again!!

We were extremely happy with our stay! The hotel couldn’t be closer to the train & bus stations for convenience, but the double doors made it so quiet! The staff were all friendly, polite & efficient. Our room was enormous, especially compared with other rooms we had in Japan. Everything was immaculately clean, in good condition & well presented. We even had our own kitchen & washing machine/drier in the room! We rarely get housekeeping in hotels as feel it is unnecessary, but here we received a small gift for this. You can access an onsen at a hotel 10 minutes away, but we didn’t use it. Very good wifi. The old town is only about 10 minutes walk & there are lots of lovely places to just wander & explore. We enjoyed a morning in Hida Furukawa (20 min by train). By bus you can go to Shirakawa-Go (sloped roof houses constructed without nails), Hirayu Olsen & waterfalls, Kamikochi (beautiful national park with snow monkeys). In Takayama, a bus & admission to Hida Folk Village (Hida No Sato) is only 800 ($A8) - well worth a visit! Not a negative, but suggest putting a chair in space just inside door to rooms so shoes can be easily removed. Love to have coffee provided! We would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it.

You will not get a better hotel in Japan for the price. Huge huge room, there is a proper washing machine, stove, microwave in room itself. The toilet and bath is separate. 2 mins walk to the station, friendly staff. Everything you want and need + more

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! DĂ©cor wasn't really our cup of tea, but the room is immense and fully equipped, with great views and very quiet. And it was cheap. Furthermore even if it doesn't have itself an onsen, you can access for free one 8 minutes away. Extremely handy hotel overall

Fantastic hotel. Much larger than average rooms and comes with kitchenette and washing machine. Place is more like an apartment than a hotel room. Toilet and bath area is separate. Most value room I’ve come across in Japan. Just next to the station/Nohi bus terminal. A bonus is the fantastic view of the tracks. Supermarkets, starbucks, McDonalds and a butcher selling A5 hida beef are all walking distance from it. Highly recommended

Very large room even by US standards. Clean. Comfortable beds. Perfect location next to train station & historical part of town. Lots of great restaurants nearby as well and FamilyMart right across the street. THE place to stay in Takayama.

Large rooms with comfy beds and pillows. We got the double room and came with a washing machine and kitchenette which is always very handy. Washing detergent provided. Good size shower but toilet is a bit cramp for some. Near to lots of place via walking distance. Free car park via the back entry.

Great value. Very generously supplied with bottled water, shavers, soaps, creams, you name it. The rooms are serviced daily if you like, and you get fresh towels and big 2L bottles of water as part of that. Double glazed windows ensured that our room was perfectly quiet despite it being so close to the station. Very polite, friendly staff. Plenty of kitchen utensils, a microwave and a stove, but we ate out because the local food was so good. Our room had a washing machine/dryer which worked perfectly. The room also had a decent sized fridge. And they gave us a voucher which we used to get a free onsen at Wat Hotel, not too far away.

We were assigned on the 9th floor where the huge rooms are located. It's like a condo unit where everything you need from microwave, washing machine, and to oven are available. There were 2 double beds and 1 queen bed. It can actually fit 6 adults. The bed is comfortable and the place is clean. The location is just 2 minutes away from Takayama Station and is near convenience and souvenir stores. There are few amenities in the lobby from comb to coffee sachets. The coffee ran out pretty fast. I was waiting for them to refill this sadly they didn't.

Excellent location, rooms were v big and clean with washer/dryer in the rooms (felt more like a service apartment). Service was good, literally right next to the bus and train station. plenty of food options around and a convenience store just right opposite.

I stayed in a deluxe room with 3 beds. The room is very large with the size of 52 sq.m. The room has counter bar, oven, grill, microwave, big refrigerator, cloth washer and big bathroom. The room is very clean and new. The hotel is very close to Takayama train station only 2-3 minutes walk. The staffs were very polite and good service. There are good restaurants and Familymart nearby. Very convenient to drive out of town to Shirakawago or Tateyama Alpine Route. There's a parking lot indoor with a little extra payment. Love this place a lot.
