Fantastic location as it is about one block from the bus terminal and also pretty new. The room itself is spacious for the price. Even though I booked for 1 pax, the room came with 2 rather big beds. The toilet is larger than usual as well. On level 2, there is a sauna and jacuzzi area for guests to use. However do note you cannot wear clothes in so it might not be for everyone. The only family mart in the city is also very near about 2mins away. My only complain is there is no usb ports available nor charger ports near the bed area.

We stayed at Chisun Grand for 3n. The location is great being an easy 5 min walk from Takayama Station. This was also where the Nohi bus station was. The room was spacious, clean and the beds n linens were comfortable n clean too. There is a nice jacuzzi in the hotel too. The hotel is walkable to the sights near n around. Some sights being 20mins walk away. We also found 2 food places near the hotel. One was Tenaga Ashinaga (good price n food) n Hiragyu Maruaki...this one is much more expensive cos of the quality of meat. Would definitely stay at Chisun Grand again.

Amazing hotel for the price and location. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free coffee from 2pm-10pm. Free bike rentals. Rooms are really big not just in Japanese standards but elsewhere too.

One of the best hotels I've been to at this price point. Rooms were large and spacious, with many amenities. Amazing bed, great bathroom, great views. The hotel is also located right in front of Takayama Station, so its easy to get to, and very helpful if you're taking buses to places like Shirakawago or Hida no sato.

Perfect hotel with really nice rooms! I can recommend! Takayama is also very beautiful and make sure to book a bus to Shirakawa - go! :)

Very cheap compared to what you will get. They also have parking service with only 1,000 JPY per night.

The hotel is only 1 block across the JR station with many restaurants around the area, less than 10 minutes leisure walk to the historic area. Room is very well maintained and spacious, with comfortable beddings, strong showers. The hotel is very responsive with my emails and questions, I feel that they are really trying their best to accommodate my request with occupant change that we really appreciate. Breakfast is adequate with a good selection of hot dishes, Japanese and continental. Overall a great hotel in Takayama

Great location at walking distance from the train station and restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable. My only complain is about the breakfast. Very poor options for westerns. Basically only bread and bacon, coffee and juice. No fruits, no yogurt, not even scramble eggs. For 1,800¥ I expected much better. We ended up paying 1,000¥ just across the street.

Good hotel a short walk to the historic centre and train station. American international hotel style would probably describe the rooms best, comfy beds. The onsen is just a spa on floor two and the men's only had one working bath out of the 3 shown by other reviewers. Tattoos not accepted

Very large rooms for Japan! Located very close to the station, this was an excellent base. The service was also great and they had free bikes to borrow.
