Very clean and spacious mountain lodge on Yarigatake. Sharing room with mixed genders . There is also a few private room with extra charges on a first come first serve basis . Dinner is great and good choices of souvenir in the lodge. You can charge your mobile and other devices in lodge for free of 30 minutes . Drinking water is also free. We watched the sunrise in the morning just outside the lodge . And you can also see sunset at the back of the lodge as well . We climbed up to the top of Yarigatake in the morning after seeing the sunrise and the view is just amazing !!! Suggest to book in advance in you are in a group of more than 4 people .

Well, since there are a very few accommodations available to hike the set of alps specifically Yarigadake, this hut is just next to the summit of it. Location is pretty nice. Coming to the service, the attitude of the workers at afternoon was so much bad (specially the girls). You know it’s a long hard hike and if you get attitude for reservations which is way too expensive than any other place in Japan. The foods inside are so expensive (example: 4 small and thin sized sausages for 800¥) so it’s better to take your food as much as possible. The hut is pretty much congested. Temperature is not controlled. They provide heater like to dry your clothes. And may be 5 dryer for 50 people. So you need to wait a long and a single 20% wet cloth can take 20 minutes. They provide blanket which is the most comfortable thing. Toilets are not much clean (don’t expect washlet). Also brushing your teeth and using face wash is not allowed in the basin. (Why??) And on the upper level they charge 200¥ for 1L water and 100¥ for 30 minutes phone charging. However you can get a nice place to stay (9000¥ for one person without food) after a wonderful hike. Don’t expect luxury, but considering it’s at the top of a mountain this is a decent hut with good facilities. Sleeping situation is 24 people to a room, the beds aren’t separated and the futons aren’t all that comfortable but you get an adequate amount of space. Bring earplugs! Staff were very friendly, there’s a shop with snacks, a living room (but no seats or cushions - tatami floor only) and a drying room. Can rent helmets to go up Yarigwtake summit.

Very convenient lodge if you plan to hike Mt. Yari (槍岳). A round-up to the top of Mt. Yari from the lodge spends less than one hour. Free drinking water supply and charging service here for lodge guests. Surcharge for hot water and any food service. No private room. Only sharing rooms (24 beds in a room, gender mix) and a simple toilet. No bath room or shower room here (some mountain lodges have that I know but not here). Dinner and breakfast are very simple but enough for tired and hungry hikers above 3000m. Vending machine sells coke and beers, around 2.5-fold price of the normal price in town. Since all items are sold in a 3000m height lodge, so the price seems quite reasonable :)

Such a great mountain lodge! The staff were amazing, the food was great, and the beds were comfy. My dinner was scheduled during the sunset, but I wanted to take photos from yarigatake, so the staff gave me a delicious lunch bento instead of dinner and lowered the price! Highly recommend

It is amazing how such big and complex facility was built literally on the top of a mountain. As was said by other people this is not a luxurious place but considering the location it is just great. They even have a vending machine with drinks. The staff is very kind and gentle and they always provide any information you need. The food is also very good so you will not be disappointed. I strongly recommend this place.
