This little cafe just to the right outside the West exit of the train station on the ground floor serves a delicious ham and cheese breakfast sandwich on a savoury English muffin. They were kind enough to make it part of a set by discounting my coffee although it wasn't advertised as such . Service is attentive and friendly and they have free Wi-Fi which is a bonus for any traveler

Great place to relax and have a snack while waiting for a train. Coffee is okay and the steamed buns were good. Unfortunately they stop food service at 6pm.

Lovely place to stop for a very tasty coffee, conveniently located right next to Takayama Station and the main bus station. The staff are very proficient in English, but were extremely kind and patient with my Japanese too. Stopped by twice during my stay and if I were around longer I would have been there even more.

Nice little cosy cafe, was pleasantly surprised when we found out they served soy with their coffee. What impressed us the most was their hospitality - we’ve asked where can we purchase Panadol as my partner has a headache. They told us there is a local chemist but it takes 7-8mins walk to get there. Unfortunately we didnt have time to do so. Next thing we know, one of the staff came out with her own panadol and gave it to us. Thank you so much!!

Lovely staff - they were so helpful when I had questions. Can't say anything about the quality of the food and drinks yet, but the vibe was cute in here! For those saying the coffee is over-priced - the coffee here is exactly the same price as in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Toyama.... coffee is simply expensive everywhere in Japan.

If you arrive by train at Takayama station or have time whilst waiting for a train then please pop into i-Cafe. The staff are absolutely lovely and the cafe is so welcoming with a nice selection of drinks and food. We had a Japanese Caligraphy lesson whilst we were there. They have wifi and you can also charge your mobile or laptop etc.

Very overpriced coffee (500 yen) that is not very good at all. Additionally they only filled up the cup 2/3rds of the way. So if you want good coffee I implore you to go somewhere else. Try coffee don or takayama warajiya if you want much better coffee at a cheaper price.

Poor quality and over priced. Couldn’t finish my cup, was pretty much drinking milk with a fade trace of coffee.
