The rustic features of the home were a great draw for me and my family. It was spacious, quaint, and charming all at the same time. Its location was also fairly central and we did not have difficulties navigating around town. The hosts were also extremely gracious, ensuring that our travel needs were met from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We (we are a family of 5) travelled by train and then taxi to this wonderful onsen. It is completely off the beaten path, but well worth the trip! The food was absolutely amazing. The service was incredible. The setting is idyllic. I would highly recommend traveling here for this experience.

This is an amazing place to stay in Takayama. The house is in a great location to explore during day and night on foot. The property has everything you need, was gorgeous inside and out and the hot tub and wetroom made the stay very special. An absolutely delicious breakfast was also supplied next door which was the cherry on the cake. The only downside was we could not stay longer. We will definitely return.

It was my first time to Takayama in 2017. Our family had a wonderful time staying in the property. The house is located close to the shopping area and the morning market. The tie up with the restaurant next door was also an excellent experience. It was a delightful surprise when we first tried the miso paste just with plain rice. The house is clean and well equipped with amenities for a comfortable stay.

We stayed at Iori’s house and it was an authentic Japanese experience, he was amazing with us and I always talk about Takayama as one of my favorite towns in the world. It has an amazing magic, I hope that when I return because I will, I could stay at Iori’s. He truly made us feel welcome.

So thrilled to have made the decision to book this beautiful little and 100 odd year property via Airbnb. A warm welcome and friendly check in made for the ideal start. I was taking through the accommodation, shown the key things along with some suggestions of places to eat in Takayama itself. There are some very handy guides at your disposal for dining and sightseeing. The hotel itself is beautifully traditional with modern touches. There is a stunning outdoor onsen style bath and onsen bath powder is supplied. So relaxing. Location is excellent - a few minutes walk from the Old Town, Takayama Jinya and around 15 minutes from the station. Well worth a stay here

At Takayama, we stayed at Iori's house, very authentic traditional Japanese style. They also offered free hot bath coupons.

It is wonderful experience that I have stayed with IORI Takayama. We would definitely back again ! after covid-19. We personally advise who are looking for accomodation with warm welcome. We recommend here
