We stayed in Japanese style room with outside onsen from 14th - 17th April 2015 and would love to return one day. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the outside onsen was amazing with great views of the old town and the staff were excellent throughout our stay. We even had the honour of meeting and spending a very pleasant evening with the hotel owner. Highly recommended. From Gibraltar

This was our first traditional Japanese experience and it was perfect ! Amazing mountain views from our traditional room with amazing service ! Highly recommend ! Great walking distance to Old Town and other sites.

It's overall pleasant. The food is good bit not great. Their kayseki ryori doesn't impress a lot. But the Japanese bath is top quality.

located up the hill not very far away from local attractions. entrance is stunning. staffs are all helpful and welcoming. breakfast is good. just had my second visit to the hotel last night and it is as good as before

Well situated close to this charming town's main attractions. I was sad to only stay one night. The traditional tatami room was large, well equipped and comfortable. My room had a lovely view over the town and a peaceful sitting area where you could enjoy the sounds of the woods below. The food was absolutely delicious, and the onsen was restful. Highly recommended. The pyjamas were too big though.
