A wonderful stay at the onsen ryokan !! From the service , hospitality, food to the onsen are all perfect ! The ryokan itself is nicely built and well-maintained , we all love it so much . And actually we all 4 ladies would love to apologise for our being late for the checkin and dinner time , as we did a 3 days climb up Mt Yarigatake before the arrival and couldn’t accurately estimate time needed to descend from the mountain . We arrived late at 830 pm and the ryokan stuff still heartedly and sincerely welcoming us at the door and serving us dinner !! As a normal rule and courtesy guest better arrive by the dinner time ( usually 7 pm for ryokan ) , we felt so sorry and at the same time so thankful for serving us meal after a long day hiking !! Thanks for everything and will definitely come visit again !!

Amazing experience. Beautiful, charming and authentic. Loved the food and the friendly staff. It is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Only be prepared to give up your morning coffe and other western habits.

I'm soooo enjoy this spring hostel. Traditional and classic decoration buildings. Relaxed when having hot springs surrounding by beautiful landscape. Fantastic Japanese dinner and breakfast catch my eyes. But it's soo cost, too. Almost 200 USD a day.

Soene was one of my highlights for my trip in Japan. It was not easy to get there, but totally worth the effort. All of the onsen were nice, clean, and the outdoor ones have spectacular views!

Staying here was the highlight of my first trip to Japan. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The food was very traditional and allowed me to experience something completely different to any Japanese food I’d ever had, I loved it! And the onsen was pure bliss. 10/10 amazing experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

One of the highlights of my stay in Japan. The accommodation is very traditional, warm and serene. The kaiseki meal for dinner was delicious with a variety of dishes including fish and mochi grilled over an irori (traditional charcoal hearth). The inn has several hot spring baths with one by the river. The service is attentive and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly staffs, traditional Japanese food, nice onsen including several out door spots to discover. Only minor issues such as smoke smells at the lobby, no elevator so you have to carry the luggage up and down stairs. Recommended to every one.
